Great video Steve. I have adjusted my setup and have gained about 20 yds with my driver with the same effort. I'm against rolling back the ball performance. Us senior golfers need all the distance we can get.
Still lobbying to get you doing some on course instructional vlogs. Love your style of presentation and communication. Can't quite get the powerful strikes you show but love to see you smash it.
Great video Steve. I think we should leave things as they are. What needs to change is the hazards. Redesign them to catch the bomber drive. Also narrow the fairways. Often they are too generous.
Hey Steve! Quality equipment dose matter but when you throw in the Coefficient of Restitution it becomes a point of the quality of one’s swing technique for sure, once I had to use cheap rental clubs and because I have good technical swing thanks to you I played very well! Thank as always! And keep the balls the same!
Thanks Steve, great video Excellent content from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺. I notice how yr left foot opens more at Impact ?? Is that correct? Am i seeing this right. I set up with my left foot at 45degrees
At 68 years old I could use more distant. So my question is are your hips still doing the wrecking ball move or are you keeping the bottom of your spine facing towards target. Thanks for the info and keep the knowledge rolling in.
Bringing the ball back is a no brainer to protect the courses. Hitting it far is and should be a premium but not render courses obsolete. However, it should apply the same way to all golfers, not just pro's playing tournaments.
Don’t screw with the balls or the clubs. These guys have perfected their bodies and swings through hard work and they don’t deserve to be limited by changing shit.
For the good of the game we need a major rollback along with a larger hole. Roll the ball back and you could build shorter courses. You could finish a round faster, make more putts or even chip or pitch in more frequently. Why wouldn't you also want less maintenance cost? More time to kick it after the round drinking beer with your buds? If we could cut avg time by two hours to play a round that's all good. A roll backed ball would also travel a shorter distance into the trees or rough...all good...less time wasted looking for a ball. You could even build housing and gardens for the homeless on the land no longer utilized. Where's the down side?
Roll back but really take COR to zero. You shouldn’t get a face flex benefit at higher clubhead speeds. Just because it’s difficult to make a driver with zero COR is not a the USGA’s problem.
Jack Nicklaus is a big proponent of dialing back the ball now that he's old and a course designer. You didn't hear him say that when he was one of the longest hitters playing. Pretty hypocritical of him don't you think. I certainly don't want to lose any distance. Leave the ball alone and let the big hitters bomb away.
No roll back. You don’t see this idea in any other sport. They aren’t raising the basket in the nba because everyone can dunk or making baseball fields bigger because guys are hitting 400-500 foot homeruns. Hitting the ball far and straight is a skill just like any other shot in golf. If they really want to do something Padraig Harrington had a great idea to put OB stakes 20 yards left and right of fairways like they have in many courses in Ireland or actually shorten the courses and take driver out of the players hand. At the end of the day the pga tour is in the entertainment business. Nobody is going to tune in to watch Rory swing out of his shoes and carry it 250 yards…that’s something I can do so I see enough of it. This is a dangerous idea is well because LIV golf is lurking in the shadows and probably wants the tour to roll the ball back. That will hurt their ratings and their revenue and LIV can step in and take all those advertising dollars.
One ball for everyone but roll it back to protect courses, otherwise lose 400 yrs of traditional designs. Soccer, baseball, handball, squash, basketball, tennis, etc. all use ONE regulation ball, why not golf?

Absolutely.
Looks effortless! Great job!
Intersting move with your lead leg/foot.
Have to try

Yes thanks for the vote. I'm hoping to do that style of video soon.
Great video Steve. I think we should leave things as they are. What needs to change is the hazards. Redesign them to catch the bomber drive. Also narrow the fairways. Often they are too generous.
don't change the ball.... love the long drives! Great tips as well. Thanks

With the in to out path do you set up the club face slightly closed at addressed to prevent hitting a block to the right?
Nope in fact a slightly open face will still result in a subtle draw back to center.
Thanks Steve, great video Excellent content from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺. I notice how yr left foot opens more at Impact ?? Is that correct? Am i seeing this right. I set up with my left foot at 45degrees
Sorry I forgot I'm 64yrs an 14hcap
Yeah it's crazy right? Not on purpose but I think it ends up being beneficial. Greeting sir.
Hi Steve, just can't get it past 240 yds, am trying maybe I need to measure my drive what's a good launch monitor please advice
At 68 years old I could use more distant. So my question is are your hips still doing the wrecking ball move or are you keeping the bottom of your spine facing towards target. Thanks for the info and keep the knowledge rolling in.
Both! Shift and turn the hips simultaneously.
How much should we rotate our shoulders BEFORE we throw the club out?
Hmm...its hard to define in terms of degrees. It's a chain event like BANG BANG. Heave throw.
Shorten the shaft length for Pro's to 43 and make the head size 360cc and leave the ball alone.
What's your swing speed? Looks so smooth but you can crank it!
I will be doing a speed training weekly series starting soon to get up to 120+ mph. I hope you will watch!
I love seeing the pros bomb the ball, rolling the ball back IMO would take away from the excitement of the game. Great video by the way.
Ball back to wound blalata distance!!!
In my opinion if they have the skill to hit it further then that's great 😊
EVERYONE, has the skill to hit a golf ball longer and straighter! All you need is some lessons and some time on the range!
Can you pick a quieter, less annoying location?
This week's sound was terrible because I wore the mic too far away. Please check back again soon as my sound is usually much better.
I say go back to the bubbleshaft burner size drivers. Keep the ball the same.

Youth.
You are getting a lot of freeway noise from the 23 freeway. Otherwise good video.
Sorry. Will fix.

Good stuff Steve.
Shouldn't the swoosh sound come before or at the ball though?
No. The fastest point of the swing (with no collision) is 30 inches after.

Leave the dang ball alone

As far as the Ball controversy I think leave it alone and don’t try to push more players to the LIV tour
Deal with this down the road .

It's a reasonable point.
Longer drives are a combo of better technology and better conditioning of the players.
horrible audio
Agree. Sorry about that. Will be fixed next round.
Horrible comment … he’s a great golf coach not a audio engineer
