This was awesome. Thanks for sharing the knowledge you’ve tested and honed over the years! Hoping to get myself to 115mph one day which would be amazing for me lol
JT is an amazing instructor. I'm 73 and he took my drive from 210 to 260 in two days. Within three weeks of his class this 15 handicapper not only shot my age for the first time but broke 70 shooting a 69. Thanks JT
I am a senior golfer that has had back surgery & knee surgery and have an issue with distance with my driver. If I hit it 200 to 210 I am happy. I am going to try and work some of this into my driver swing approach and see if I can get another 10 yds out of my driver. This was a great video I appreciate the insight and training tips/drills
Hi Performance Golf, love to see more tips from Martin Borgmeier sharing more about speed dynamics and sequencing , being just over 60 every MPH / KPM helps, great video guys
absolutely! Im not quite a senior but I am 50 and today I applied a faster backswing and taller, with my lead foot up and I could not believe the driving day I had today. I was swinging close to 100% capacity and because of how free my body was, I was waaay more consistently straight and long. We were always taught that swinging harder led to erratic shots but that was not what I experienced at all! Thanks for the video! Both of you guys are amazing
Lifting my left foot up an help me improve my speed and distance. As someone who likes long drive, i spend a lot of time looking at my feet, my body and remembering to keep my head still and follow through with ruthless aggression. lol.
It’s very interesting. There is a school of thought that the more relaxed are arms and wrists, the more fluid and powerful is the swing. But on this case, it’s in reverse. Or at least, it looks like the relaxed one has a limit.
I’m really intrigued by Martin’s larger driver grip. Like Bryson’s. Seems contrary to the long held view that fat grips inhibit release. Do you know the type of grip he uses and why?
I was at the range this morning after watching Bryson Dechambeau's video on the long drive swing. I'm glad I watched this video because it added some things I need to do and reinforced some things I'm just learning. Anyway there's a net at the end of the driving range that's 290 yards away from the Teebox. I was bouncing some into the net at a pretty good pace. One line shot I hit bounced once and hit the net. These balls would've rolled a good distance so I'm probably getting close to 350. I'm glad you made the comment about accuracy because I could not believe how straight I was hitting the ball. Probably 80% of them more within an acceptable range from side to side. By the way I'm 65 years old
I’ll watch anything with the Borgmister. His enthusiasm is infectious but his ability to transfer his technical knowledge is matched by his ability to bomb it. There is a contradiction though with main stream golf instructon. Gears shows us unequivocally that the best (and longest) golfers on the planet don’t get taller in their backswing. They actually go into pelvic flection on the trail side in the backswing which means they get shorter. They still hit it out there 300+. I’m not saying one is right and the other is wrong, I’m just saying it’s interesting. Both disciplines do an awful lot that is similar but there are some fundamental differences. I know which one I’d prefer to watch. The Borgminator every time.
Getting taller seems to help speed; unfortunately, it pulled out my low back[ ps, I'm 79 but think like I am 49], so I guess I need to do more core work than I already do.....any ideas??.Stressdr
John 3:16 KJV 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 The Resurrection of Christ 15 Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures
Golf isn’t stagnant!! So many people criticize my swing on UA-cam cause I’m kinda rocken or little sway with my hips. I’m 47 years old and hit my 7 iron 190y, +40 in distance since I took Martins advice. Sequencing and timing is very important though
This was a lot of fun! Thank you so much for the collab, JT!

Very funny
What a great teacher he is!
This is fire 🔥🔥🔥I’m hitting the garage net ASAP!!! Dfrench going to 130 swing speed this year!!

Thanks for sharing. Let us know how the drills go and which one worked best for you.
Martin is a legend and inspiration! What a beast!! 🙌🙌🙌
What a nice guy and a great champion. Thanks for taking the time.
Excellent instructions to implement in my range sessions then to bring it on the course.
Let us know how it goes!
Great demo and explanation - just increase my CHS by 5mph (84mph) after 4 swings. That's about 15 yds farther than my best drive - FYI 79 years old.
Great tips! thanks JT and Martin
Martin is such a great teacher! Love it
Got a llooonnng way to go to mimic this kinda swing form. But this is just awesome to know!

Thanks JT for the great video. Seems to apply to seniors too.
Yes it does!

Do tight orange shorts help with distance?
Gave myself a hernia just above my belly button trying to imitate Martin! Had surgery in December, and now I’m scared to death to try this again!!
I love this video, thank you guys, you're doing amazing!
Thank you so much!
Really good stuff

I love Martin Brogmyer
Dr Kwon strategy (excellent Martin)
Can't wait to try this on the course. Il be breaking 90 ............ ( windows)
At driver and shaft does Martin hit?
Martin has incredible club head speed. JT at 127 mph has faster club head speed than 95% of the PGA tour pros! Great instruction.
Clubhead speed is IRRELEVANT. Ball speed is all that matters.
127 clubhead with a rubbish smash factor = poor distance
@@Stantheman848 you can not have fast ball speed without clubhead speed. If you have slow clubhead speed, no ball speed.
@@detrenko yes but as i said... you can have incredible clubhead speed and a very average ball speed.
So the key number is always ball speed.

BEAST!!!
bro was built to be a teacher and his work backs it up! That's rare!

I am sorry to hear that. Before speed training be sure to warm up and stretch properly.
love this guy just has a Santa's smile
The disclaimer 🤣🤣🤣
Just hit 126 club head speed
Let’s goooo. That is awesome. Keep it up.
I’m finally gonna break 100 (club head speed and score 🎉)
I wonder if being 6’4” 250lbs helps? 😂
Definitely can't hurt :). Jamie Sadlowski was a smaller dude hitting 150mph+ as well though, he's 5'10 170lbs, still hope for me yet lol
Probably doesn’t hurt lol I was thinking the same thing. Most of those long driver guys are pretty big.
most coaches will tell you to keep your head level

How about tips for an old man 78 years old swinging faster .👏👏👏👍💪
The title says “for any golfer” maybe you should stay off the internet old man.
Those are called tourniquet shorts! How does his blood manage to make it to his feet?
I guess it helps to be built like Conan the barbarian, too....
Those shorts though lol
They're regular shorts, the dude just has titanic legs.
@@hodor6159 but you do know that he can buy a bigger size right? 🤣
Soo all my swaying was a good thing……..

Have you practiced the drills yet? They will help you!
