I’m in the industry as well, and finding good help is always a bigger task than the job. At this point I rather do jobs like those on my own. This was awesome.
I honestly enjoy working alone, it’s relaxing…I shoulda done it decades ago😂
Its warming to see some people out there still take pride in their work. Great job sir.
Much appreciated!
I second that..👍
Doing a fine job. I see nothing wrong with that shop. Only that it's not in my yard. God Bless
Many thanks!
I'm in the industry . Done a ton of framing , mostly doing commercial / industrial concrete now . I have done a lot of tasks alone simply because my laborer didn't show up but to plan on always doing everything by yourself is commendable.
That’s exactly why I do it alone now, the help never shows up!

I've been in the trades as a carpenter for a long time ,and still going. Your workmanship and pride will keep you busy for a long time. It's a pleasure to see a craftsman doing a good job.
I know you've called your hammer a "pink hammer" but I still prefer a Estwing straight claw. This saved my butt a couple times from sliding off a roof.
Keep setting the good examples .
If you use an Estwing you must be from the midwest or northeast. On the west coast nothin but Dalluge wood-handled hammers.
My framer is wood handled, a Kobalt I got from Lowes a million years ago
Always great to see you taking on large projects single handedly I can't imagine anyone finding something you did wrong I've seen guys make more mistakes or cut corners working with a full crew
You, & Ken's Karpentry are my favorite UA-cam channels to watch
Great job. I followed along pretty good. I was amazed that you did the metal work too. I did freak when you were walking along the top sill plate. 😲 I thought oh hell no for me. 😅
@tomdehaven3445 that’s quite an honor to be mentioned alongside Ken! Thank you!
I love to watch how everything is done, I'm a big fan of building small houses and garage that only one person to do it all. If you have all the knowledge, experience and the right tools nothing is can't be done and adding that kind of chill vibe looks so fun.
Your hammer you’ve owned for a million years that has saved you so many times!
Thanks for the video
Nice work, I enjoyed the comments along the way. It looks very straight and clean!
I’ve been a garage door installer/technician for over 20 years and I’ve been in hundreds of cookie cutter garages frames exactly like this. It’s strong. It’s efficient. And yes you could frame it 16 O.C. On the roof and rafters but there really is no need. This is a badass garage and plenty strong!! Doing this all one man shows you are skilled and have a great routine down! 👏🏼
Yup, I think it’s a perfectly acceptable way to frame an accessory building👍
Nice work! Thanks for taking the time to film it.
Thank you for taking the time to watch it!
I learn something every time I watch one of your videos. I can’t imagine building this by myself. It was “pink hammer”!
You and your. Pink hammer did an excellent job.
Excellent and inspiring. Thank you for some golden knowledge.
You do fine work and by yourself your very productive
little pink hammer? I think that's the answer you're looking for! Great video, great work.
Man this guy is a pro. He makes it look easy and we know its not. Lots of experience shown in this build.
46:54 - Yes, I would like that from my neighbors! Dandelion patches are beneficial for bees and other pollinating creatures. Also, great work on that garage.
I agree with you, but in my suburban neighborhood, you’ll get shunned for having dandelions LOL
@@MyDIYAdventures Dandelion Root has many benefits. They are not a weed.
Excellent work and I can see you take pride in your work. Great stuff, sir.
Thank you
Good job...I love working alone...Pretty impressive job...
Thanks for sharing...Cheers!
good work, just never stop pushing and learning for the next one.
Always!
Awesome job. Love it! Good luck!
65 and still learning, thanks for showing this video
We all should always be learning👍
Great Job! Love the poses man!
Pink hammer lol great work! Watched the whole thing. Love how there's no extra music and talking, all informative.
Thanks for suffering through the whole thing!
Great video man. Garage looks really good. I learned a lot. Thanks!
You come across a video that inspires you every once in a while. This is one. Good job my guy. I was looking at pricing a contractor to build a shop. I think I can do this.
It isn’t too difficult
Love to see more garage builds in detail. Especially cutting angles for roof.
More to come!
Yeah that's the only part he didn't show us the pitch on rafters. Next time I guess ❤
I’ve got a couple rafter videos, better yet, I’m sure there’s rafter videos out there that explain things way better than I can!
Watching people like you makes me wish my father was still with me as I need a garage made
But you're inspiring me try and do it myself!
Ty❤
Best of luck!
What would something like this cost?
@@twistedinternals1234 with all the concrete, it was easily $35k
@@MyDIYAdventures Jesus, I have heard quotes for it being done by a crew for 35.
Also I see a lot of people talk total price, but what about financing. How are you affording 35k? Do you get a bank loan? Remortgage the property?
Edit: Ah you aren't making this for you, I thought from the DIY title that this was your home.
I'm setting here thinking the Same Bro! I swear to you, Just before i read your Comment.
Doing this solo is an amazing feel of engineering!
That is completely awesome. I love it 😊
Glad you like it!
Pretty sick, guys!
great video. and well done on the work!
Really enjoyed the show. I learned a lot.
Glad you enjoyed it
So glad i found your channel! keep up the great videos man
Thanks! Will do!
Great Job buddy
As someone that has never done carpentry, thank you for sharing the knowledge. Hopfully buying my first property soon where I can do a similar project. California market is crazy though, so we'll see.
Best of luck!
Thank you for the video, I have enjoyed it and learned a lot!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Best way to learn. (little pink hammer)
Marvelous job
I watched the entire editorial I really enjoyed it... What I'd like to see is the cement editorial... Thanks a 1000...
I haven’t poured any concrete in years, I just do the framing
Awesome work! You make it look easy, I might try and build myself a garage.
You can do it!
I watched the whole thing , great job for one guy!! I dont remember the hammer name, but you done a faboulous job!!! Its like a jiant puzzel.
Great work my boi
Brains muscles and hard working great at your job beautiful finish nice size to put my cars in cheers
Glad you like it!
The GOTO, The pink hammer. We all have that one special tool we hold especially dear :)
Nice build. Good job.
Thanks!
Awesome job!
Thanks!
Great Job! The poses are nice lol!
Thanks 😆
Beautiful Work with that "pink" hardware store hammer! 😁🔨
I wish I'd met you or someone like you 30 years ago, I'd have worked for free to learn from a master like yourself! I'm very impressed young "Herculean" man! God bless you!
Thank you very much!
Sweet Brother.....Neighbors are always the difficult part...
Yep. Keep it up. You're gonna be purty good at this stuff some day.
I hope so!
After getting a few quotes for a 2 car garage to be built - I can for sure see doing a lot of the work myself too and while material prices have eased a bit recently stuff is still expensive and labor has only gone up...
Jeld Wen Single Hung Brickmould window I build JW windows for over 11 years. We always had quality issues with them I hope they hold up!! I haven't work for that plant since 2016.
They’re good garage windows.
This is Tim I wish that I could do what you r doing I need a building. U r the best.
Thank you
Flot arbejde 💪👌
Thank you!
Good job
Yes you can sharp it use a right angle grinder, works every time
Thanks for the laughs. 😂 Enjoyed it when you kept posing on the ladder during the timelapse.
😂😂😂
😂 thumbnail time had me dying! Great work. Except in Florida we add so many hurricane straps.
Thankfully we don’t get any hurricanes here on the north coast!
dont listen to the hater most people cant do what you can do let alone by yourself great job keep it up
I enjoy pushing the hater’s buttons😂
best lego kit ever
Good Stuff there Brotha 👍🏾👊🏾👏🏾. Im observing, takin notes Definitely Subscribed ‼️‼️‼️
Much appreciated!
Anyway good job on this project.
Dang!! You are "The Man!!"
Haha…OLD man maybe!
I wish you had left the camera running when you put the first of the rafters up. I would like to have seen how you do it alone.
Great vid. The studs in the concrete and holes in the plates....thanks for that !
I can’t put every part of every build in every video…they’d be 3 hours long!😂

Bro you are my hero!!!
LOL I’m just an idiot with a hammer!
@@MyDIYAdventures
Little Pink Hammer 🔨
Nice job!
Thanks!
you can sharpen it with a file right on site use a pair of vise grips to hold it
Nice job
Thanks!
lil pink hammer you got for like 7 bucks .... love that 😍
You’re way too hard on yourself. You did an excellent job and I really enjoyed watching it. I know it was an hour long but I didn’t mind. Keep up the great work.
I just try to keep the expectations low around here😂
Pink hammer is awesome
Heck yeah!
I believe that was an incredible job. Congratulations
Thanks!
you can sharpen a peddle bit easily by using a vile, works great for me
You are a real pro with that tape measure. If you’re in the Delaware area I hire you. I’ve got a ton of work.
Nowhere near there, sorry
I don't know if it's my audio setup, or your mic, but I figured I'd comment and let you know that your balance might be towards the right side in the intro. Looks like a solid vid thus far, super excited to watch :o
It sounded ok when I was editing 🤷♂️
nice little saturday project
When I had a crew, we could frame and shingle a 20x20 garage in 8 hours.
@@MyDIYAdventuresjust joking haha, really impressive 1 man job
Nice
All that concrete but there's none outside the rear overhead door. Amazing job building a structure flying solo!
Yeah, I’m not sure why the customer didn’t want a small approach poured in the back🤷♂️
@@MyDIYAdventures Aren't you the customer?
Beautiful work. Curious about those water spots. Concrete not being leveled.
It happens🤷♂️
Bad ass carpenter.
Who? Where??
One thing about Contractors is they always have a medical appointment mid project and someones car breaks down everyother day lol
Sometimes they really do
Great idea / I would think the bigger door should open on the other side / so the small door goes to bed side / in and out of bed easier while open / but great idea thanks
For some reason on the large garage door header I thought you’d put the circus music in. :) good work. I work alone as well. Mainly decks and smaller renovations.
I’m starting a deck this week.
The work? I told you about home inspections. This last week I worked Tuesday through Friday and I made $6700. Now I’m relaxing on Saturday morning watching your video and about to go coach a little league basketball game
Love the pink hammer lmao
First time watching your videos, enjoyed this first one.. 7-dollar pink hammer..
Thanks for watching this one…the rest are terrible😂
Good video, what size are your rafters and ceiling joist 2X6? Thanks
Correct
Was wondering how you were gonna lift the wall by your self then you put a kickstand. Thanks for the tip
You’re welcome!
Very inspiring work!
One of the more trivial bits in my experience is purchasing materials and lumber.
Any tips for purchasing materials and lumber?
If you want decent material, pick it up yourself…if you have it delivered, ya never know what they’re gonna send you.
I'm a brick contractor and I've had to work alone on several occasions. Luckily, I never got hurt on the job while alone but you never know! You're only one accident away from ruining yourself! But the show needs to keep moving, what more can a man do?!
Thank God I’ve never had a major injury or accident at work!
Good job bro , l built a 25x15 to store my mowers
You must have a lot of mowers!
@MYDIYADVENTURES Great job on the garage. what was the roof pitch? And was that one solid ridge beam or splice together? LVL or #2 2x6? Was that concrete pad done with rebar or fiber or both
4/12 pitch, ridge was 2 2x8s, I assume the concrete just had wire in it
Where do you pull the measurement from for the gable studs? Great job by the way!!!
The 16” center layout I am referring too
All the layouts are pulled from the end of the wall
Nice job bro
Hammer was called... the pink hammer
Little Pink Hammer
are the anchors consistent placed for center or do you measure them individually to mark them on plate
They need to be individually marked
