I was involved in OneTaste on a more superficial level for a year about a decade ago, and I met Nicole Daedone (who is very adept at reading people, by the way). I think of the organization like a funnel--there were the participants who would attend a training or daily OM sessions (which were free), and then there were people who were more invested (they didn't have those expensive packages back then, but they had retreats, classes, and coaching sessions--which is what they would push on us). Finally there was the inner circle, mostly people who lived in the OM house (in New York), and staff members, etc. I never went past the outer edge of the funnel. For the most part, it was comparable to neo-tantra with the sexual stuff, polyamory, and group sex (outside of OneTaste). I have to say that my experience was comparable to Anke's with the OMing. I think what she missed about the clinical communication is the idea that you can connect with anyone if you choose to, via oxytocin and the limbic system of the brain. OMing is a standalone practice, not intended to be mixed with other sexual activity, just like you wouldn't meditate and play basketball at the same time. Also it would be distracting from the point of the practice. Another reason for the clinical descriptions - they guide participants to be very present in their bodies (most people are perpetually in their heads), and the way to do this is to identify bodily sensations, which is standard meditation practice. However, when exchanging experiences between OM partners, one would describe what they felt and when, the other partner would describe theirs and more often than not, it would turn out both felt something at the same time even if the sensation was different, indicating some limbic system/empathy at work--a.k.a. connection. I deliberately did not become more involved because of the real culty stuff I saw and heard from an insider about the stuff going on in the inner circle, like people being pushed to have sex with certain people they were not attacted to (eg. to challenge their preferences), and mock marriages. There was also an expose that came out afterwards about the staff not being paid, or being underpaid, so they were being taken advantage of. The OM house in NY was different, it was a brownstone in Brooklyn with several bedrooms and common areas, but the people in the bedrooms were usually couples. A lot of the people that I knew ended up leaving a few years after I left when things began to blow up.

Well, feeling follows thought. Some people are willing to go down any path THINKING they are going to experience something titillating outside of their empty lives. Then they FEEL they have finally found something extraordinary and feelings are tricky and can be treacherous. That's how all cults work. It's all still in their heads still but coupled with trained manipulated feelings and it will take some hard thinking alone to break away and know you just got off the crazy train.

My favorite question was asking her opinion on why there seemed to more women involved in cults. Hearing how women were manipulated into being submissive.

Most of our sisters are gullible and stupid when it comes to having morals and being swayed by others,,, that’s why I firmly believe that there are only a few women that qualify for most Positions and offices they hold,,, at least half of them shouldn’t be where they are.

CENTREPOINT Community at Albany in NZ in my university days , and the first thing I witnessed ( no shit ! ) as I walked up the unsealed side road to the commune was a man in the middle of sex with a horse whilst he was standing on a beer crate . " Oh, I thought, thats way creepy " ! And it just got creepier from there on ( eg floor to ceiling glass walls for the toilets sited right next to the kitchen so that as volunteers prepared meals you could be breaking down your inhibitions whle they glanced your way) 24 hours later I called a friend to come rescue my constipated self ! It was a repugnant place and all the children exhibited precocious sexuality due to the endemic sexual abuse , and constantly seeing people having sex , as well as sleeping in communal longhouses . Appallingly evil , dark & warped man Bert Potter and his equally warped acolytes. Please see the notes Ive added below onto others comments re the horse issue . I really found the negativity of the two people below quite astounding ... we ALL PROCESS STUFF IN DIFFERENT WAYS , and I was so shocked and stunned ( and on MY OWN with no other " normal " person to talk about it with .) that I didnt process it in my head for about a day . So please , no more judgemental comments ok

Problem with the policing in our world - many are behind this darkness and from elite generational famlies - so anyone who promotes these kind of dark satanic practices or things that can lead to it are promoted by the police. The police around the US do a lot of guarding for the Pedophile rings and arrests and also covering GEO engineering acting like major highway construction is going on while they are literally pouring toxic chemical deep into mother Earth in their pre-fracked holes (our city's authorities rape the Planet for another day).
I have literally seen policeman holding the meter that tells them what is in the air in the middle of a storm and intersection for the GEO engineers. They want to make sure they don't have a massive die off of the population they might have to explain to someone -

Your title for this is very click baity. "Sick" "sex" "cult" is overkill on this group which are obviously, to anyone with some actual knowledge and experience on this subject, they most definitely are money oriented and pushy - but CULT? - No I disagree.
Interesting that in your interview with a freelance journalist she admits doesn't even know what makes a true cult. I can tell you - that cults involve direct and constant focus on ONE charismatic leader mostly male but can be, female who uses a technique of isolation on the members away from mainstream society via either religious or pseudo spiritual teachings that totally traps them in for number of years, many away from their family, separated away from their children or spouses, the leader teaches them to be separate from society and to never give secrets of the leader's teachings to outsiders. Cults are anti society. There are no secrets of technique in this group it openly talks online about the orgasmic technique.
It is actually dangerous imo to now start to characterise every entrepreneurial person who starts up a wellness business that attracts people with a good hook. This group is sheer financial exploitation. Rather than a cult it's a copy branding of hundreds of USA businesses that suck people in to buy a set of products or services and upsell that customer to buy courses and earn commission by inviting other people to buy products and courses.
It's the funky ol American style of hardsell upsell, pyramid scheme style business, but full on spiritual, mental torture and societal and family alienation for many years by the slimy charismatic leader? No this group I would judge as not being in that category.
Let's not throw anything to do with sex therapy for women or by women either into this bin of cults, when now even sex workers are legalised and pay taxes.
Pretty sure I went to an OM event in London 15 years ago and I had no idea that the OM stood for orgasmic meditation. Thankfully there was no sex stuff, just exploring emotions
I was invited to an OM session in my city but I declined. I had seen the Ted talk so I knew what it was. I recently watched the documentary too. Anke's description of the rather clinical approach to OM reminded me of the true history of the treatment for Hysteria in women in Victorian England that eventually led to the invention of the vibrator. There's a great 2011 comedy/ romance film about it called Hysteria.

I noticed that some Spas and Wellness centers are also pushy sales people. Not saying that they are cults but I’ve been put off by certain Spa businesses that were aggressive with selling products or other services even after you say no.
That's because they get a commission. Maybe even the only way they are paid is up selling.
It’s a business. Employees need to paid as well as rent and electricity. They just don’t have any tact or true sales skills. They are educated estheticians.

I'm subscribed to this cult on UA-cam, I had forgotten that I was subscribed but in the past few days they released a buttload of videos. It's kinda sad that they can't just form a little fingerblasting club outside of the cult.
Om Normally is laterally making the OM sound represents the union of the three gods, viz. A for Brahma, U for Vishnu and M for Shiv. It's done in Meditation and doesn't Involve sex at all sadly.
There was a Center Pointe in Aurora, a suburb of Denver back in 2000-2003 ish in a nice hotel next to an athletic club that was 24,000 sq feet and had lots of members including our Broncos. The sales manager before me and after me (same person Kathy) was 36 and had just had her 3rd child. Her last husband was an ex Bronco and in prison for selling drugs. I asked her once, "How did he get on with the Broncos doing drugs?" Her response was "The Broncos got him hooked on drugs after an injury and have done this to many players." I was shocked.
She kept trying to get me to go to a Centerpoint meeting and check into it and talked about how great it was. She got a kickback for each person she brought on and I had no interest. I had an adversion to even checking it out - I was thinking this a pyramid scheme or something. But they were getting many heavey hitters coming to our Athletic Club and joining Center Point.
Hearing your story tells me so many things I didn't know about Kathy's behavior at work and in conversation. She was not a stable person with 3 kids from 3 different dads. Back then I was not alert to who I was and what I was capable of. I learned mental telepathy and healed my childhood with many different things and began teaching others how to learn our universal language and as one learns to talk in this language that animals and our indigenous people have done for centuries one's 6ths senses begin to onboard. A huge heart centered insightful practice of opening yourself up to all your gifts.
So I'm SEEing this completely different in hindsight than I did when it went around the first time. Thank you - very insightful conversation you two and in all ways for me!!!
PS I always thought my intuition was terrible back then . . . now I think I was pretty insightful with feelings around this and acted upon them by staying far far away from Center Point. In today's world, I have been very vocal about human trafficking and the 35 billion sex business of kids in our the US alone. So hearing the human trafficking details really cements my feelings back then around this. I'm an empath and didn't know that is why I felt so strongly about things back then. I know how to use & recognize my gift wisely now.

Centrepoint was a New Zealand cult and there is no information I could find about it spreading to other parts of the world. Do you know of any information on the internet about the Aurora branch you are talking about? There is a Kaiser Permanente medical office called Centrepoint in Aurora.

I was a participant. I did not pay large sums of money, work for or live with the community. I attended the introductory class and attended a few free get togethers to meet other OMers. And I’m not a paid person from their organization.
Our world does shame sexuality. And most people don’t see the shame they hold. The woman in this video couldn’t even say the word clitoris. She said “her most sensitive part between her legs”. That, my friend, is a woman who is uncomfortable with her sexuality and anatomy. One thing OMing did was remove these layers of shame. And that is an empowering gift. It’s possible she missed that, as her whole premise of entering the “cult” was to dissect it. Not embody it.
For me, I was verbally, emotionally and physically abused as a child. And I was very disconnected from my body and not empowered sexually or personally. OMing got me reconnected to the sensations in my body, which was shut down. I’d say I am even more in tune with my emotions today as I can feel them arise in my body. To me this was a healing gift.
I never felt coerced in anyway. I did see red flags here and there and was disappointed that the lines were blurry in the community. I was never going to live in a house, or swing, or have sex with the people in the group. For me it was a meditation practice, and I found partners who OMed with me in the privacy of our homes. And I never felt taken advantage of or pressured. I considered it a gift and privilege to experience the practice with healthy boundaries. And I suppose those were the red flags - how the community blurred the lines, and I do not think it was intentional. I think the community was mostly filled with young horny and ego driven people and they were not in touch with the heavy responsibility of the practice. They had other forces driving them and making the community into something else. And since I was on the edge of the community, I can speak to my experience.

My mum went to centre point a few times in the late 70s and she had a friend who stayed there but she didn’t really like it there she was interested in new ideas and spirituality but thankfully she was put off centerpoint because of the free sex orgy thing it’s not her , so thankfully we didn’t join the cult , but my brother said it was really frightening as he went with all the kids, it sounded like lord of the flies thing and he said that this one boy showed him where to hide.
A documentary came out a year or so ago about centerpoint that was extremely disturbing. It’s the damage that it did to children was extremely devastating.
When she describes this group it really sounds like a Scientology sex cult , how they use the word’ process’ and how she describes the sales techniques it’s very similar

I went there in 2017. The FBI and media investigation into OneTaste started in 2018, and there were never allegations of child sexual abuse, but of sex trafficking. Hope that helps to know.

I guess anything is allowed, but if I remember correctly, you're not supposed to act on that desire as a stroker, but just communicated every sensation in your body in the most clinical way. Strange indeed!

I have not seen the documentary. However, I live in Oklahoma and a few years ago my then husband and I went to an appointment doing a private session with a specialist so to speak. The language was the same. I hadn’t heard of these words until that appointment.
I had no idea it was a cult. We only went to one session.

So here's all the info I found so far on Teal Swan.. there's 2 documentaries on her. 1st one is called Open Shadows the story of Teal Swan 2018 2nd one is called The Deep End on free-form, hulu and UA-cam. She considers herself clairvoyant and some type of alien. She gets people to believe they were abused by their family so she can manipulate and control them. She sells books and has over a million followers on UA-cam. Andey Fellowes I'd just one of her ex followers speaking out. I forgot the names of those in the documentaries, but they're very interesting it's rare to find female cult leaders. I hope the info helps. I love your channel!

I find Teal Swan a good explainer of psychological subjects. I don't follow her. (I don't follow nobody actually.) I'm 45, Polish. I just find her English easy to
understand and her explanations easy to understand. For example, she finally explained me what means to "love yourself". Before her, I just read it 1000x, but never understood it.
I don't care what she thinks about herself. Whether she is from other dimension or whatever.
I'm atheist and I don't belive in other lifes, dimentions, etc.
I find her "cosmic" persona bs, silly or whatever, but I think one has a right to think about themself what they want. In the metaphorical sense I understand what she means and I understand that a guru sees herself as a spark of the other dimension. I find it honest and brave that she actually says it loudly 😂
I never found in her movies on YT anything like cult, any manipulation!
I think being atheist helps to just take what I need and being resistant to the rest.
@Zmiana_Pogody my main issue is that she's trying to manipulate people if you see the documentary the deep end she even hires an investigator to try to prove she's not a cult leader only to be proven she is by the standards that make her a cult leader. I know what you mean about loving yourself, though, and picking what's good about what's being said.

I think people who explore polyamory are seeking to break free of similar taboos, hoping to move past them, and I can see the initial interest in doing so. However, as Anke says, there are unexpected repercussions, some for the better, some for the worse. The added layer of authority that is imposed in the cult scenario is what creates victimhood, resulting in unexpected wounds, via coercion, and peer pressure, and whatever else has served to perpetuate the myth of the leader who is more "enlightened" than you. In the end, most of these so-called leaders are maligned opportunists and therein, lies the rub.

I watch your channel from Sydney and thoroughly enjoy all your videos especially the scientology stuff. You have a real talent for what you do and I particularly like that you come across as real, authentic. My sense is how you are on air is pretty much how you are which is so refreshing.

The reason I ask is because I have a suggestion for who you might consider interviewing next but what I have to say about this person could be very controversial and I’m just not interested in all the hoopla that might ensue. As a rule I don’t engage with social media because I can’t bear the inanity of so much of it and I value my privacy greatly. I did many courses with Morehouse and welcomed consensus and got a lot of out it. Changed my life and I love them . One taste I did not like at all. Awful. I stayed there about 10 days and could not wait to leave . They gave a spin to it that I didn’t agree with. If you want to learn I would suggest welcomed consensus or Morehouse .

You can learn tommorow what you are unable to do or comprehend today and that's why I have chosen to be the Tacher that shares her acquired knowledge and not being the Judge that thinks she can't be wrong. My hourglass needs to be turned asap, but there were choices I had to explore first. Nothing is circumstantial in my life and that gave me a lot of stress that I couldn't handle anymore - the reality is that people have tried over and over again to silence me or giving me the wrong profile. I found my way out of the Wormhole and there's no way back, maybe you can manipulate the circustances I have to live in, but not my 'beautiful mind' ... the organism is immortal and that means that there always will be a generation that shall have to clean up our mess ... I can't give you answers, but I can give you tools to find the answers yourself. I've met several women who all had a sort of new age viewpoint and i noticed an almost verbatim set of explanations for their perspective. It was really strange because it was almost as if they had all found the same source for these ideas.
There was an emphasis on the "feminine power" of the "earth mother" and a kind of superiority comlex to be perfectly honest.
Astrology, numerology, and chakra energy types of philosophy was absolutely considered to be real, and anyone who doubted it was in some way deluded or "clinging to the materialist paradigm" whatever that is. I always got the impression that spending time with me was secondary to their primary interest.

OM is based on the fact that the ka has been a forbidden zone for thousands of years. Of course, after a period of extreme restrictions, there will be a period of exploration, but in the ba-only morality, that's the prove that God punishes as He pleases (God becomes the head of all narcissists and coercive control. My own case explains how something that starts in a normal setting, can become extremely wrong when a system rewards bad behaviour. It was a problem at the BA-level: the *Master-Pupil* relationship. Peter was my first sexual experience and, although I had a lot of imagination, it was not very comfortable to start with. Interesting that in your interview with a freelance journalist she admits doesn't even know what makes a true cult. I can tell you - that cults involve direct and constant focus on ONE charismatic leader mostly male but can be, female who uses a technique of isolation on the members away from mainstream society via either religious or pseudo spiritual teachings that totally traps them in for number of years, many away from their family, separated away from their children or spouses, the leader teaches them to be separate from society and to never give secrets of the leader's teachings to outsiders. Cults are anti society. There are no secrets of technique in this group it openly talks online about the orgasmic technique.
It is actually dangerous imo to now start to characterise every entrepreneurial person who starts up a wellness business that attracts people with a good hook. This group is sheer financial exploitation. I prefer people to be here than the audio podcast. But I made it as one video because she goes on to talk about a separate cult. UA-cam videos do better when they concentrate on one sole topic, so I cut it at the end of the OneTaste discussion. Audio podcasts are more chatty, up and down and around, so it makes sense to have it there.
That said, even if I did secretly want people to leave here and go to the audio podcast (which I really don't)...why is that so bad? Why do you frame it as sneaky, underhand? You're getting free content. Enjoy it. Life isn't so bad.
