I own a Regna 98--or at least I once owned one. I gave it to my wife. I enjoyed playing with it, but being new to tennis, I wanted/needed something a bit less demanding. My wife, on the other hand, has played tennis far longer than I and she absolutely loves her Regna. I'll close by adding, I live in Japan, and I bought the racket here. It's only fair to point out that the average racket here (at the time of purchase) ran a bit under $300 USD. I paid the rough equivalent of about $350 USD--not a huge premium. It took the racket shop about a week to arrange trading the 100 they had in stock for another shop's 98, string it, and get it to my home...

Please review the 98 if you get a chance in the future, i have the 100 and i'm loving it, the stability when i do volley or return slices are very maneuverable, I also agree its the best 100 racket out there in the market but i never try the 98, so i'm waiting your review on that. Thanks for this honest review, Merry Christmas & Happy new year soon fam! ✌️

I also have the Regna 100 and it was too stiff for me
(that's given I'm pretty sensitive to stiffness and I also can't play with any ezones)
I find the sweet spot the smallest among all 100 I've tried; it is fun to strike a few balls with and the racket looks super nicely made
I find the regna 100 relatively easy to find, I got mine with ease from rakuten/mercari from japan and found someone to ship it to the US.
However the 98s are much rarer probably because the demand is high, they're out of stock almost at all times even from Japan.

How would you compare it to the boom MP?

Not only is it completely overpriced but the racquet itself isn't even very good. It's like the square watermelons you can buy in Japan which are considered a 'luxury' item but in reality they're overpriced and completely pointless....like these Regna racquet.

I won't go into the value nor pros and cons of the Regnas here, but storing, stacking, and showcasing square melons is far easier than any other shape. I will add that almost all fruit is more expensive in japan. No, I don't plan on buying any square melons, but knowing Japanese growers, they are likely free of all blemishes and exceptionally tasty to boot. So, not exactly pointless... just like a Regna.

PS~rarely are such expensive fruits bought for oneself; they are most often gifts for special occasions: weddings, anniversaries, newborns, etc

LOL. Square watermelons is probably a good analogy!
