    When you mentioned the Dunlop CX 200 I got so happy. I am in love with that racket and I even added lead tape to the head. Using that racket landed me an ambassadorship with Dunlop. It is just an amazing feeling racket. Having Toroline Wasabi in it also gives me the extra edge I love!

    According to my preferences with regards to the scoring system/categories my top 3 rackets are:
    1. T-Fight,
    2. RADICAL MP,
    3. Ezone / Aero / Whiteout
    Interesting!

    Am catching this vid 10 months later, but it's just as relevant as the day you released it. What you've done here is assess the intangibles beyond the standard specs (weight, balance, swingweight, flex, and string pattern). These soooo affect a frame's playability. And yet, no one's captured them in a comparison, let alone one that ranks so many racquets. I can't imagine how long it took to do this, but the product is positively amazing; a tool I'll absolutely reference into the future...

    Auxetic Extreme Tour. Checks every box for me. Arm comfort. Spin. Control. Good on both the forehand and one handed backhand. Bottom line is that I enjoy playing it with more than any other racket and feel confident hitting a wide variety of shots with it. I also play well with the Pure Aero VS and 98 but eventually got won over by the softer feel of the Auxetic ET. My tennis elbow has all but disappeared since switching to it.

    It's funny how I went from one extreme to the other. Played with Pure Strikes 16x19 for a few generations and loved it for my backhand but could never consistently hit my forehands with the same speed and precision. @@TennCom The problem I've got is, though my forehand and serves are hitting with a lot more power, I'm still struggling to get the same depth and power that I had with my backhand when I was using the Pure Strike. I think part of it may be psychological as well as generally I feel I can't generate as much power with the Blades, just more control.

    As an intermediate/club player, I think cosmetics are a huge part of a decision. Youre gonna see the racket every time you hit the ball, and I personally like to fire me up watching how gorgeous and agressive my paintwork looks as I enter the court and play. Obv thats purely subjective, but I think Radical MP its outstanding among the others (I love my Radical MP), and that makes me want to fit my game to the racket, and improve with the feedback i get from it. Wow love this video! Thanks for the detailed breakdown and for explaining things in layman’s terms on top of the technical terms. I am confused as to why you put the ezone very low on both power rankings (on- and off-centre) given that it’s considered a power racket

    • @TennCom
      @TennCom  Рік тому

      To me, swingweight dominates the "power" experience and twistweight dominates the "forgiveness" experience. The EZONE has a lower swingweight and twistweight so its actual power deliver isn't that high compared to something heavier. The string pattern is also quite dead feeling to me due to how tight it is. IMO the EZONE is more of a modern control racquet, despite Yonex's marketing of it being in the power class.

Im currently using a pro staff v13 97 with these specs 346 weight, 32.2 cm balance, sw 335, mgri 20.88 and recoil 165. i really like my current racket but sometimes its not as forgiving because im a flat hitter that likes to full swing. The recoil weight on the Whiteout isn't that higher considering its swingweight given the 32cm balance point. Finding something with a lower BP will help you get a 165+ RW without having to raise the swingweight too high. That said, the Whiteout has enough inherent stability for my game that I was able to go with a 5 points lower RW compared to my Extreme Tour and still feel more confident on returns than before while getting higher racquet head speed.

    Love your channel and have used a lot of your info to assist my game. Genuinely curious. I'm a 4.0 player who uses 2 Youtek Radical IG MP's. I have tendencies for arm pain though. Just ordered a duo of Velocity MLT + Isospeed Cream to hybrid in one of them. For the other do you think I should Hybrid with MLT (cross) + Restring Zero? or just try a FB Restring Zero? Curious if you have thoughts on tensions too.

    Which 98s, if any, are suitable for a 3.5-4.0 player and are more forgiving than most 98s? Some of the ones I was thinking of are the extreme tour, pure aero 98, vcore 98, and solinco whiteout. Or are 98s simply not meant for that level and I'm better off going for the 100 square inch rackets?

    To be honest. After trying to get on with the pure strike 98 16x19 I found it to be the most unstable racket I’ve ever tried. Even compared to the pure drive lite. I just cant put my finger on it, but when i play with it i feel like I’m being pushed around. And the feel…it’s very unsettling muted and i genuinely don’t know what’s happening to the ball so its hard to feel what I’ve done wrong when the ball flies on me… overall experience. HORRID

    Genuinely curious, how come you dislike the Blade so much, but I read it’s the most used racquet on Tour?

    • @TennCom
      @TennCom  Рік тому +1

      Its used on tour in its previous versions. Old Blades were much stiffer and had higher swingweights so they worked perfectly for advanced players in the modern game. The consumer criticism suggested that they were a bit too unwieldy and uncomfortable for recreational play, so Wilson dropped the stiffness and the swingweight. Now, the Blade isn't the pro racquet it once was, but in my eyes, a neutered version, lacking what used to make it special.
