Hi Emily. Thank you for this little beautiful world you are sharing with us. I am an artist too, I am struggling with gouache right now. Not an easy medium but I am starting to understand how to use it to some of it potential, notably as both watercolor and acrylic. Brilliant film. I really enjoyed watching you work and it's inspired me to take a different approach to oils. I couldbsee tye beautiful buttery consistency you used in the paint and how you built up the planes of the face. Wonderful. Thanks forbthis
Thanks so much Liza! I love working with oils in that buttery consistency, sometimes if I come back to work on a painting that has dried, I will "oil out" the surface with linseed oil. I find this brings back some of the freshness you get in an alla prima (wet on wet) painting.

That oil painting came out great. Good to see you using gouache. I like gouache over acrylic/watercolor, it's more versatile depending on how much water you use.

Great video! I haven't seen this movie in a loooonnggg time. I'm pretty sure I did enjoy it though.
Right now I'm taking a break from doing watercolor paintings and trying to complete an embroidery (on canvas) piece that's been unfinished for almost a year now (hehe, oops!)
