Hi bro, just wondering if you could do a short video on how to enable/change/view the petrol gauge? I have the cb650r,same new TFT screen and I'm struggling to find how to see how much petrol I've got. Even the guy at the dealers was a bit confused
Are you talking about changing from gauge to showing range? If so, you hit „Right“ go down to the second option, right again and there you can switch the display. Let me know if that helps?
@AkaiCBR650R thank you for the reply bro, she's tucked away now ill try again tomorrow. I can get to the "page" where is says fuel/range but regardless of which one I select, the homescreen lioks the same. There is a number at the bottom left, when I picked the bike up it said 29, after riding it home 10 miles, it said 31.. my petrol couldn't of gone up and I wasn't exactly riding conservatively so I'd doubt the MPG was improving as I was riding.
@@ash-6867 bikes do that a lot which is why the „range“ display can be wonky. Usually when your mpg resets the system thinks you are using much less fuel than you are. Does that on pretty much every bike I think
It’s a brand new bike, which means, it’s important to handle it in a variety of different ways, sometimes you rev merch but it’s also important to give the engine a feel for sudden engine breaking as well, if you look closely, I am Rev matching
Is there much option for panniers? Honda themselves only do a small capacity bag on the rear “seat” and SHAD only do soft luggage? It would be nice if you could fix some hard panniers to this baby. I really love the bike’s appearance and its power you can fully utilise unlike the 1000cc plus bikes of today which break all the speed limits in first or second gear lol.
@@AkaiCBR Thanks, I’ll continue to look around in that case. Going to the dealership this afternoon to sit on one, I hope the riding position suits me after getting so used to “lazy” upright adventure bikes 😅.

Why is it I can feel it's smoothness through the screen of my phone? 😅 Jokes aside, how is the riders triangle on this new model is there any change in the comfort of the bike? Does your hand pain if you get stuck in traffic?
Well, my hand usually hurts with any bike in heavy traffic. I wouldn’t say it’s worse on this bike. I had a 5 hour trip yesterday and have to say it’s very comfortable but I was still in pain after, because I’m not used to the positioning at all. I am getting used to it more and more though.

Hello from France, I'm an old biker, and I've always liked the look of sports bikes. This bike is a perfect compromise between power, pleasure and handling. I bought the 2023 model last year, and I like it a lot. Comfortable for a sport/gt. The 2024 model is the same apart from the decoration and the speedometer, I hesitated to order the 2024, but I think that would be stupid!. Currently I also fell in love with the new Suzuki 8R which is also very beautiful, especially with this blue color, and its twin-cylinder is nice with a little more torque. I'm hesitant to change, I don't know what to do...What do you think?
I sat on the 8R and honestly, while it’s a nice bike, the riding position was too casual for me. Keep your CBR - Suzuki is great but Honda quality won’t fail you!
I read there IS a coolant temp guage on these....no? Not numbers apparently but a bar of some kind? Really a seperate oil temperature reading would be a bit overkill for streetbike...i think as long as it has a sensor and oil light along with check engine light if you lost oil pressure etc. Did they offer you the "E Clutch" on this bike? Or if not on there can you ADD that? I now have a permenant left hand disability where my MT-10 clutch is killing my hand which is why I was searching 2024 CBR650 reviews
You cannot upgrade to the e clutch it’s a complete separate model! There is no temperature gauge on this screen at all, only on the deep menu, which you can’t access while riding :/
First of all, great video, second, would you recommend this bike as a first bike purchase? How's the learning curve on this one? I'm getting my A license next year when I turn 24 and I'm keen on buying this one mainly because it's 4cyl with under 100HP. Would it be hard to master it properly? How's your experience so far after break-in and everything? Thank you in advance!
I still haven't completed break-in phase, my service is due on april 11th - I started on an SV 650 which has much more power from the bottom up, the CBR 650R feels mighty at first but it's got really good handling and a very linear power band. If you respect your machine, you should be totally fine. The 4 cylinder allows for a good learning experience as it's very smooth and doesn't need to shift much!
@@uros2909 Definitely will! Bike is currently at the dealership, getting the broken screw fixed and then i'll make a video installing the license plate holder. I got my new cam set up for recording rides, just need to be able to ride hahahaa
The cbr650r is at the “outer edge” of what could be considered a beginner bike. While it has a pretty stout top speed (around 150 mph) it doesn’t have a lot of low end torque. This makes it a little better for the beginner since it doesn’t tend to “leap off the line” at intersections if you give it a little more throttle than you intend. Since you’re 24 and not a teenager, you likely have the maturity to start on this kind of bike. The good thing is that it can also be a “keeper” for quite some time since, at 95 horsepower, it’s much more powerful on the top end than most bikes you might start on.
@@someoneelse1i1i Thank you for your comment. Yeah, that part about being a "keeper" is definitely one of the reasons as to why I would buy one, since I won't get bored of it after one year of riding, and I can always learn some new things on it for several years. I also think it's a great middleweight bike where you get the power, but like you said, it won't kick you off the seat if you give a lot of throttle, and it can keep up with likes ZX6R, R6, GSX6R and such.
Thanks for the feedback! I have got the new camera today and am now looking to record the next video with my Sena microphone! Sorry about that, I hope it was still watchable!
Hi, your video is definitely watchable and interesting but obviously you're now aware that you need to rectify the voice clarity/wind problem and you will be fine. I actually ride an F version but it was good to see a review on the R.. be safe and keep up the good work. 😊
Looks great, just such a bummer Honda didn't put in the effort to shed weight and add torque down low. It's just not exciting to ride to me. If i were to buy this bike it would be for the looks but not for the excitement. If I'm not mistaken it also not cheap. Add 1000 euro more and you get yourself a street triple RS or a duke 890r. Which are far superior bikes.
In terms of power, yeah you can get something stronger for less. Even my SV650 blows the cbr out of the water. But that’s not really what its about, it’s much more about the lifestyle of naked vs Sport. I figured out I prefer sport much more even with the limited torque!
The E-clutch of course is not neccessary unless you have a left hand disability like myself OR do a lot of slow speed commuting....actually an E clutch would also be WONDERFUL in a manual shift sports car when in stop and go traffic ....whoever said it would be expensive to maintain? THAT makes no sense Honda builds stuff to last it is just a couple little motors and a mechanism that is controlled by the ECU....lots of stuff on the bike will need more maintence than that Ill bet....motorcycles in general are maintence intensive compared to automobiles....LOL anyone that is afraid of maintence costs? LOL a Sportbike is not a good choice! Wait until you pay for a a full service with valve adjustment! And if you ride hard those tires wont last 5k miles and drive chain maybe 15 0r 20....then again ridden gently not canyon carving just highway you can go some miles on tires etc ....my tires never last more than 3k and damn they are getting PRICEY! Like $500 a pop
Its ridiculous places that outlaw filtering! So much more dangerous for riders stuck in lines with much heavier cars waiting to be rear ended at any moment because bikes are harder to SEE! I think it is criminal....I would do it even if illegal and when ticketed I would plead my cause ....even if I would likley lose ....how crazy outlawing filtering!

In punkto Laufleistung bzw.

Got a question, is your exhaust all stock or have you modified it?
It’s stock! The exhaust I want is not available yet
@@AkaiCBR I'm new to it all, I'll have a flick through the buttons tomorrow
Id like to know the difference between this and the 600rr
I can’t really say, but the 600rr is more of a track bike.
nice review :) looking forward this bike to release here in PH.
Thank you!
Honda's are one of the most reliable sports bikes out there.
You can do over 10,000 Kms in a single year and it will be just fine.
Is rev matching not a thing where you are?
I did see someone with full luggage setup on the bike. Seems to work quite well.
@@AkaiCBR Thanks, I’ll continue to look around in that case.
Going to the dealership this afternoon to sit on one, I hope the riding position suits me after getting so used to “lazy” upright adventure bikes 😅.
I like the black alot more, it's also much better than last years half matte half gloss nonsense.
I also don't know if you know, but dirt is visible on gloss black alot more than on matte black.
Glückwunsch. Meine Maschine kommt hoffentlich in 2 Wochen ;)

Nice bike, my friend! Enjoy it a lot. And change the license plate holder for the barracuda design one! Is way better! Cheers from Portugal! 🤜🤛✌️
Already changed it! And thank you. I love the bike
Why is it I can feel it's smoothness through the screen of my phone? 😅
Jokes aside, how is the riders triangle on this new model is there any change in the comfort of the bike? Does your hand pain if you get stuck in traffic?
Well, my hand usually hurts with any bike in heavy traffic. I wouldn’t say it’s worse on this bike. I had a 5 hour trip yesterday and have to say it’s very comfortable but I was still in pain after, because I’m not used to the positioning at all. I am getting used to it more and more though.
@@AkaiCBR I see, how tall are you if you don't mind me asking... The height sometimes affect the comfort. Also is there any ride modes on this new version?
@@entername3840 no ride modes! I’m 187 ish (6,1 almost 6,2)
Do these handlebars have you hunched over like a 600cc or are you in a more upright riding position
More upright, they are clamped on above the bridge
In the previous 2 generations, there was a vibration that should not have occurred in the 4 cylinders. Is there vibration in the new version too?

Hello from France,
I'm an old biker, and I've always liked the look of sports bikes.
@@AkaiCBR I am of the same opinion as you, I would be stupid to change!.
Thank you for your feedback, and have a nice day
Beautiful bike. Are you planning any modicications to the motorcycle?
Yes, I’m planning on changing the license plate holder, maybe the rims down the line. Not much you can do to your bike here legally :(
I read there IS a coolant temp guage on these....no?
@@AkaiCBRThank you! If you could record a video after april 11th telling us your experience after a month of use, that would ve been great!
I would like to see the e-clucth version...
where did u buy this windshield?
It's brand is called "Bodystyle" but I don't recommend it. Get the Puig one.

is it a comfortable bike? I'm thinking of getting one as a second bike
Very comfortable IMO
