Charlie, Every time I see these motorcycle mpg commuting videos, I have to remind myself there are not enough hours in the day to let you do this with all the cars you have to test.
That's what I initially thought too (which is why the video cuts, I had to rerecord), but look at the placard in the video, it says that for up to 200lb load as well.
@DailyMotor Since it's a MPG/commute test, it makes sense. But of course, I'm sure you drop the pressure when going for spirited runs, as evident by the edge of your tires being weared in.
Do compair with Ninja 650, i’m looking Z900SE 2024. Can't find at all in Texas or any near by dealer. So thinking for 650 and can't decide between ninja or CBR. 🙈 all purpose is daily commune and long-time ownership. Plz make the comparison video. 🙏
Just shot the video yesterday! But it won't go up for a few weeks. Overall gist is choose Ninja if you're riding more than a few times a week and don't ride very hardcore. If you like to go really fast and have a great motor, skip the CBR650R entirely and get a proper 600 or maybe a 900
0,8 gallons of gas for a mpg test is not enough! Set your trip, fill your tank, add 3 gallons at a time to keep track, drive 500 miles then top off the tank and get a true mpg for the bike. You should only need 3 or 4 fills to complete the test. Not much at all.
@@DailyMotor I didn't know you had more than 1 bike. I put 500 on in about 5 weeks, but even if you just ran a complete tank it would give more accurate results.
Over 10,000 miles, this bike would cost $250 more for fuel than an NC750X DCT. Not anal, when you’re planning done cross country touring. Too bad neither one have cruise. That’s literally a deal breaker. $1,000 for an aftermarket seems really steep. So far, the CBR tops my list, however. That I-4 soundtrack!!!

I'm considering of getting the CBR650R and turned it into a sport tourer. The fuel range is definitely an important consideration.
Watching from Toronto 🔥🔥
you are literally the first person ive heard say its hard on your wrists... im wondering how it compares to the Suzuki 8R
How much do you pay for insurance if you don't mind asking?
I pay £160 a year here in UK. 😂
What a beautiful area, where is it?
Orange County, CA!
36F/42R pressures is not what you want for normal riding. These are designated for a full load (with passenger) and full gear.

Would you be able to do a video on a ZX4?
I plan to!
@DailyMotor hope to see that soon!
So basically the same as Camry LE mpg.

Do you realize how long that would take me to do for every bike I test?

The exhaust “nub” looks completely ridiculous.
First?
Looks like it.
Impressive
If you are worried about MPG from a motorcycle you are anal retentive.

@@soundmanks Thanks for proving my point! If you can't afford the gas then you can't afford the bike.
Yes, I just put fuel in my bike and enjoy the ride! If I'm touring, I just put fuel in her tank and ride 😂😂
