Just sold my MT-07 got bored and tired of rust issues. Was set on new CB750 Hornet, but then stumbled across CBR650 and now I'm torn.. never owned and inline 4 before, love the noise❤
They have the CB650R too, the naked version. So you still get the inline 4 sound on a bike more suited for the street. To be fair that is a good selection of bikes you are looking at so you can't go wrong either way.
There aren't a lot of options for 4 cylinder bikes that's affordable as most of them are 1000cc superbikes, so yea it makes sense. It might not be as light as it's 2 cylinder competitors, or even the strongest in the category, but the sound definitely makes up for it. I hope that in a few years (when I'm ready to buy this kind of bike) they update the model to get more power out of it and also update the LCD screen, because it's so tiny and hard to see. Then I'd absolutely get this
Great points!!!! Sadly I think Honda want to keep this bike A2 friendly ( European Licence ) so I don't think the power will increase. But LCD/TFT display should happen.
You've definitely sold me on it. Currently on a CL500 and it's fine. Fun bike, just a little slow for my taste. The cbr650r is WAY more powerful and faster than the cbr500r. Unless you’re needing to outrun someone I can’t imagine anyone NEEDING to go faster than the cbr650r can go (WANT to maybe, but not NEED to). Most UA-cam videos puts its top speed at 150+ mph and my experience bears that out. I haven’t gotten mine up to 150 mph but I’ve gotten into triple digits a few times with plenty left on the bike and it will cruise at 80 mph at 6,000 rpm’s (red lines at 12,000 and has 14,000 on the tach). And it’s comfortable for a sport bike and I love the in line 4.

@@tvtwistasmoto Yeah as much as I love Yamaha, the R7 isn't a comfortable ride, low Hp, and a parallel twin and most important cost more then the 650r. I'm going for the Honda CBR 650r 2023 model "White". 👍👌
I don't have the best winter gear to be honest XD. In fact I don't really have great gear in general. But thanks for the video idea I will talk about it very soon.
That's not a lack of confidence 🤣. That is just fact, supersport positioning would kill me, my body is not built for that. Upright comfy bikes for me!!!
Ngl, I considered tracking down a cbr650r after my 500r went horizontal on me. I enjoyed the riding position and the raised clip-ons, but Honda motorcycles are at premium cost in the states. I found a third gen SV650 and it’s done the trick for the last year. I’m considering replacing it with a GSXS 1000 or a Ninja 1000sx in a year or two. A 650 is perfect for the riding I currently do, but a little more oomph would be appreciated on the highway. Not keen on going back to body plastics but that Ninja 1000sx is surprisingly good for the fatty it really is
Yeah I've been on a SV650, great bike but as you said needs a little more oomph. Ninja 1000 is awesome though, just that I personally wouldn't be able to handle that fatty. 🤣

Same bike, slightly older design. Most if not all I say about this bike applies to that one aswell. The differences are minor. If you find a great deal on a cbr650f I would say go for it! And thanks for watching 😁.
Do you want to be comfy or not? Do you want like to loom of sports bikes more than naked? That is what you need to ask yourself....other than that they are the same bike.
I wouldn't compare both 🤣. Love the idea of the zx4r but unless you specifically want a Kawasaki, the 650r is a bigger better version of the zx4r in my opinion.
Thanks!! It's a Full Akrapovic Titanium Exhaust. It is supposed to come with a baffle or sound supressor, if that is fitted then you will be fine. Mine does not have it fitted though and it does get uncomfortably loud when you are going at high speeds for a while, like on the highway. I do wear ear plugs when I commute.
should i get the cbr 650r (9k€) right after i made my drivers license (its my dream bike rn) or should i buy a crappy bike (1k€) for the first 2 years of riding instead? And then buy the 650 with the full 98hp or maybe a Mt10 (im 18)
Honestly i would say buy the bike you want, don't be afraid of damaging or dropping a new expensive bike. It's gonna happen anyway 🤣. Also even if you wanna start on a crappy bike, it won't be 2 years before you upgrade. Trust me you will be itching for a new bike in a few months lol. Thanks for watching 🙂.
I am looking at first bikes/getting into the bike scene and I’m wondering what would everyone’s opinion be? Should I go a cbr650r or a r7 (full fairing bikes) or an mt-07/650nk
Naked bikes are usually more comfortable than sports bikes (full faring bikes). So it may be easier to get used to more comfortable bike first. But other than that all of those bikes have simillar power anyway so it really comes down to style and design, what looks the best to you. In my opinion however if this is your very first bike and you have no riding experience at all. I would suggest something even smaller maybe in the 250cc - 400cc range. That way you can get used to riding without worrying about the weight of a bigger heavier bike with too much power.
@@zappymaddoggamingyt7440 No prob. Best bit of advice I can give you is to go look at the bikes in person, sit on them and if possible take a test ride. I was almost going to buy a Suzuki gsxs 1000 but then when I saw it in person I decided I wanted the cbr650r instead 🤣.

No, but my next video is gonna be a walkaround where i show all of the mods already on the bike (It came with mods) and talk about what I'm gonna do to it in the future.
To be honest, the weight is too much for a bike of this power, especially compared to a 600. It is still a good riding experience though, the bike has enough power to feel at least somewhat nimble. Also the bike is more comfortable than a supersport or 600 so the weight is much easier to manage.
Lol if i mentioned every bike I thought of getting......the video would be an hour long. But the 1000SX was high on the list.........and still is to be honest 🤣

Yamaha should make an R9! I really want one.
If Yamaha had an R9 I would not have this bike 🤣.
Hey guys, r9 is being made @@tvtwistasmoto
Hi, I have a CBR650R and love it, but I also have a Kawasaki Z1000SX, and honestly couldn't recommend it highly enough, worth a thought maybe 🤔
Don't need to sell me on a Z1000SX 🤣. I love the Kawasaki Z1000 series of bikes.
Triumph Street Triple 765 RS. But it's a neked. I have Aprilia rs 660, loving it.
Yeah I thought about the 765, very cool bike, and I like Triumph. The rs 660 must be so much fun!!!!
Yes exactly, only inline 4, twin sounds horrible imo. Listen to that cbr650r sound and yes r6 is coool but too expensive
Whats good guy? Nice vid. Yup I totally agree with your opinions regarding other sport bikes. I currently have a Yamaha R3 and deciding between a R7 or Honda CBR 650r. 🤔
R7: Look cool, feel cool, is cool
650r: Sound cool, go fast!!
Can't go wrong either way!
@@tvtwistasmoto Yeah as much as I love Yamaha, the R7 isn't a comfortable ride, low Hp, and a parallel twin and most important cost more then the 650r. I'm going for the Honda CBR 650r 2023 model "White". 👍👌
@@joemangune you will love it :) get a nice exhaust on that 4 cyl like the ixil one, you will fall in love w it
0:16 I'm pretty I heard your bike the other day...all the way from Australia 😂
Sounds mint mate!
Thank you. 🤣😁
Hi nice channel. Great review. Nice bike. I did not like it stock bc it was VERY stiff and the road was shite but it is a nice bike.
Yeh, the R6 - like the new R7, is a dedicated track bike. It's built for a singular purpose. It's AMAZING at that. Not much good for anything else.
True, i would still love to test one at some point though.
@@tvtwistasmoto Absolutely, an R6 track day sounds awesome!
Can you do a vid on your winter gear for 2022 next.
I don't have the best winter gear to be honest XD. In fact I don't really have great gear in general. But thanks for the video idea I will talk about it very soon.
7:58 man you gotta have confidence and believe in yourself.
That's not a lack of confidence 🤣. That is just fact, supersport positioning would kill me, my body is not built for that. Upright comfy bikes for me!!!
Just curious, what does those curvy paint lines on the road means? Lol, i Always see them on every videos from UK
I've gotten this same comment before and i never have any idea what lines you are talking about 🤣.
Simular reason I got my cbr650 though I will get a zx6r when I'm legally allowed to in Australia
Cool!! That sounds like a good plan! I would love to know how the two bikes compare/differ.
Do you know whats the difference between CBR650R and CBR600RR? The price difference in them in huge.
600rr is a supersport, cooler, faster, more agressive, for the track. 650r is the slower more commuter friendly version.
How did your bike get stolen? And what kind of security locks or devices you using now? And what u recommend?

Hi thanks for the review im due to do my direct access in August. and like you iv been pondering and I keep getting drawn back to the bike you have (love the colour) Honda CBR650R :) Question What do you think of the Honda CBR650 F ? thanks keep riding be safe :)
Same bike, slightly older design. Most if not all I say about this bike applies to that one aswell. The differences are minor. If you find a great deal on a cbr650f I would say go for it! And thanks for watching 😁.
I am currently on a BMW G310R. Do you recon this would be a good step up when I get my full license?
For sure. It is a very safe option. If you want a bit more kick and fun you could even go for the 600rr, honda released a new one 😎😎.
why the f, they put that oldschool brake master cylinder? it reminds me my cb400sf...
Agreed. Honda are great and all but they sometimes do things that make me go 🤔.
Your bike has the best combination colors of cbr 650 r
You think?? Well thank you!! 😁😁😁
We waited half a year for that bike in Malaysia 😂😂 due to lack of production
how much is this bike in Malaysia?
Interesting
Idk if I should get this bike or cb650r, I’m confused
Do you want to be comfy or not? Do you want like to loom of sports bikes more than naked? That is what you need to ask yourself....other than that they are the same bike.
let's be honest the cbr650r is litterally the prettiest sport bike ever made
Hey, if u say so!!!
Now theres a ZX4R out, same price range, how would you compare both?
I wouldn't compare both 🤣. Love the idea of the zx4r but unless you specifically want a Kawasaki, the 650r is a bigger better version of the zx4r in my opinion.
I love the black red, but why the 2023 has Fcking blue! that looks like shit! it makes me cry! I hope they sticked with Red.
Cbr650r is a beautiful bike bro
Crikey mate, you don't want to show the clocks when you're speeding. That can be used to prosecute you.
I'm getting told that more and more :( I like showing it but it might have to be covered or blurred.
@@tvtwistasmoto also add in the description that its private lot with CGI render lol
@@NYoTips yeah.
The clocks are obviously set on km/h, no serious speeding is being shown 😉😉
@@rafaelsoares7121 See........you get it 🤣🤣
did you consider the SUZUKI HAYABUSA. Simply all you need for your motorcycling career.
🤣🤣😅 How could I forget the Hayabusa, that would have been the perfect bike for me. I would be dead 🤣, but it would be perfect.
What exhaust is that? It sounds phenomenal! And is it too loud to the point where you need earplugs when you ride?
I’m between this one and RS660 as well. I’m 6’5 with 35” inseam. Any suggestions?
Does not matter......6'5??? You are too big for any sports bike lol. So just get the one you like the look of more 😅.
@@tvtwistasmoto Those are all very good points thank you for your feedback 🙂
@@zappymaddoggamingyt7440 No prob. Best bit of advice I can give you is to go look at the bikes in person, sit on them and if possible take a test ride. I was almost going to buy a Suzuki gsxs 1000 but then when I saw it in person I decided I wanted the cbr650r instead 🤣.
I plan on starting on a CBR650R.
@@dracovoid5290 I ended up getting a new CBR650R have put around 350kms on it so far I’m loving it 😊

You mentioned the age being an issue

Braided steel lines.
I have cruise control, quick shift and blipper

Ask me how much my insurance is... Loool😂
Sounds to good for me, i was just being silly because i know i could not get one anyway 🤣🤣. My 650r was only 2019 any way.
Excellent narration.
Thank you!! Sometimes I listen back to the recording and worry that i'm making no sense, or that I sound annoying. So your comment means a lot 😁😁.
Just 4 cylander , right ? I hate Honda brand always be push overprice than it would be worth.
🤣 fair point.
would you recommend cbr500r or cbr650r? Im currently on a 150cc bike and want to go up
I would say go for the CBR650R! but take it slow and easy at first. Many people go from 125cc to 600 or 650cc, it's fine.
Soon I'll get this bike 🙏🙏🙏
YES!!! INDEED YOU WILL!!! 😎😎
Because it's AWESOME!!!!!!!
i’m florida so it’s so weird your driving on the left it’s messing me up 😂
That's exactly how I feel when I watch US motovlogs XD
I know. At 1:20 is when he made that left turn I cringed when I saw that white car coming but then realized oh yeah he doesn't have to cross over to the right side lol.
Any changes you’ve made to the bike since buying it?
No, but my next video is gonna be a walkaround where i show all of the mods already on the bike (It came with mods) and talk about what I'm gonna do to it in the future.
@@tvtwistasmoto excited for that video. I’m ordering a cbr650r next month
@@MoparMadness93 Good choice!!! keep us updated, I wanna hear how much fun you have on it :)
nice vid mate
Thank you :)
I am thinking to start for a2 with this bike or the crf 300rally.
Well those are two very different bikes 🤣. I would say.....go for the one you think you will have more fun on.
How is the weight? For a slightly weaker powered bike do you think the weight is worth compared to a normal 600?
To be honest, the weight is too much for a bike of this power, especially compared to a 600. It is still a good riding experience though, the bike has enough power to feel at least somewhat nimble. Also the bike is more comfortable than a supersport or 600 so the weight is much easier to manage.
Well you can feel that it's heavy for the power, otherwise on the road, the bike is so well balanced you won't feel it's weight
It is heavy for what it is. It's top heavy as well, a bit of a pain moving it around. It's not an issue on the road though.
You only put the rear seat cover on this one right?
To change the rear styling.
It came with the bike, so I just left it like that. But I would have put one on myself anyway, as you said, to change the rear styling.
@@tvtwistasmoto Ok alright, so it's the Honda rear cover.
Very nice
@@Daniel-dj7fh Yes, the Honda rear seat cowl. Thanks!!!
GOD FUCKIGN YES to the 2024 version
That's my next bike for sure@@tvtwistasmoto
You definitely should try Kawasaki 1000SX 😉
Lol if i mentioned every bike I thought of getting......the video would be an hour long. But the 1000SX was high on the list.........and still is to be honest 🤣
Is your speedometer in K's or Mi?
For LeGal reasons...... 🙃......I'm gonna say it's in K's. Do you get what I'm trying to say?? 🤣🤣.
@TV TWISTAS MOTO I understand 😉 definitely no slouch then. I was on the fence to buy one of these however watching this has made me want the cbr650r. Been out of the bike scene for around 20 years now, should be a nice bike to get back into it.
@@deant6627 Yeah, ofcourse it's not the quickest bike, but I am still yet to push it to it's max, so not a slouch indeed. I think this is a great bike to get back into riding with!! All the best, and I wish you fun riding!!! 😁
R6 is it a supersport?
Yes an R6 is a supersport. A cbr650r is not.
What exhaust do you have?
Full Titanium Akrapovic Exhaust.
Yamaha xsr900?
I know about it, but only a little. I'll look more in to it. Thanks :)
It's a naked mt09 just wanted to know if it tingled you because it's basically the only naked I'd buy, I am also planning on eventually going to the track and that bike is actually decent for a naked, there's a dude here on UA-cam that used to race in one
