Good question; not sure why they made that change. It seems like Acura stopped offering the RDX with the 2.3 turbo engine after around 2012, and it was only coming with the 3.5L V6 for years. Then just recently, the V6 is no longer an option in the RDX and the only choice is the 2.0L turbo. Our guess is that they discontinued the 2.3 engine, and when they developed the 2.0 that they put in the Civic Type R, they just used a de-tuned version of that engine in the new RDX’s, but we don’t know for sure. Fun video! Snow mode starts you in 2nd gear and changes the torque curve, also transfers more power to the rear. Great idea for a channel 👍

I have an RDX. It’s a fun SUV! Corners great in Sport+ mode. In Sport mode you engage the Turbo.

How & why did acura go from 2.3T down to 2.0T?

K23A1 is a solid platform and i assume Honda over engineered it being the first factory turbo Honda engine in North America
