I bought a Phoenix Yellow Integra Type-R brand new back in 2000 and just bought a Championship White FL5 Civic Type-R last week. I was seriously looking at the Integra Type-S, but I decided to go with the breed of the car and not the nameplate. Love my FL5.
Exactly, gonna talk about the history of Type R without the FD2R is a Shame tho!! which FD2R is the last True JDM. But I don't expect Nort American martket to understand it since they never driven one or even see one (most of them might not even know that it is exist). But it is one of the best if not the best Type R ever been build.
@@7zEki I remember there were some videos of Civic owners in the States buying the bodywork and parts to modify their Civics to look like a FD2R, but yeah, most might not know about this JDM model
@_bermuda yes, FD2 is JDM and not USDM, but in the US, there are Civics FA like the 2007 Civic SI, the 2010 Civic LXS? which have quite a similar chassis to the Civic FD?

I grew up with 2000 Type R Integra's , I don't like any of the four doors cars. I think of the type r as a coupe model, sucks they didn't take this route.
If a two door Type R was available I might be interested. The four door looks like a family sedan to me. So I’ll just stick with my nicely modded MK7 GTI for now.
Nothing beats the old school 90’s honda b series vtec engine at its pinnacle especially the b16b & b18c with such raw, mechanical & high revving engines
Not sure it's consistent - I'm faster in my FL5 than FK8.. depends on conditions and driver... tracking it, the FL5 has been quite a bit faster for me.
AWD means more weight, more maintenance, complexity, and in some cases lack of top end.
AWD is another way of saying I don’t know how to handle a front or rear wheel drive car.

And the european FN2 Civic Type R. So there are 7 different Civics with the red badge from factory

Rsx/dc5 did not have a k20C. K20a2 for 02-04 type-s and k20z1 for 05-06 type-s.
