I have the equivalent in a Kitchen Sink Aberdeen style single handle faucet. The 15 yr old Moen Aberdeen handle is hard to lift and return - it's not "smooth and buttery" like when new. I have taken it apart three times (to date) cleaning it and increasing the amount of Plumbers Grease I apply. It's GREAT after that, for about a week or so, then it goes back to hard lift & return. Any ideas?

Are you using the OEM replacement cartridge? The o rings inside cause the drag.
