Thanks for the info. I'm pretty new to the advertising thing, but I launched an auto campaign yesterday which went live last night. Bid of .70 cents with down only dynamic (slightly higher than the recommended .66 cents). 21 impressions as of the following morning - no data yet (prob too early). Trying to push traffic and ratings to my paperback book (112 page full color guide in the cooking related category). Five day campaign at $5 per day. Looking forward to seeing what happens and gaining a better understanding of how to analyze the info. Thanks again for the info.

Hello, Cameron, I like what you are doing thanks a lot, I was wondering, I launched some ads with a product targeting option, but I got zero impressions with bids of more than $0.60 for 4 days do you have any idea why?

It could be a few different things - bids aren't competitive enough for the target, not enough traffic on those product targets, or Amazon doesn't think you'll convert so they'll lower your bid if you're using dynamic bidding. Raising bids would be the first step, and if you continue getting no impressions, you could try switching to fixed bidding in your campaign settings.

Whats considered a good bid amount these days? At 0.30$ i almost get no impressions. I guess bids get more and more expensive?

It totally depends on the search terms being targeted, it can vary by a large amount across keywords. $0.30 for one keyword may be very high whereas $4 would be low for another. In general, CPCs, and therefore the bids necessary to be competitive, do tend to increase over time. If you're not getting impressions you can consider increasing your bids. If you're still not getting impressions, you can test switching to fixed bids instead of dynamic bids so that the algorithm isn't dynamically lowering your bid to where it's not competitive. This happens particularly for new or low-order volume products.
