I was at Talili Airbase, Iraq back in 2005 ( I was an Australian soldier) the U.S facilities always impressed me. I couldnt believe the choices of food available even the MRE's were good. There was a few times I was able to swap a box of of Aussie rations for a box of MRE'S, which usually lasted up until the point a U.S soldier who had tasted our shit rations before, would send a newer soldier over to get their MRE's back..😅😅
Yeah we were spoiled bitches. We'll not my unit. We ate T-Rats and MREs 99% of the deployment. Occasionally we would get to a dining facility and then I couldn't help but notice we were spoiled bitches😂 I still think about the chow hall at Coleman in Germany back in 99-2000. One time i was coming from my primary school in 2005 in Baghdad and there was a line of Us troops passing through the way. I waved to a soldier who’s head was in the top of the tank, he went down for a second and came up again, then he threw me a baseball, i took it and went home. Now I’m 24 i still have it with me. Sometimes when i take it out it makes me sad or depressed because it brings me back some bad memories. Sometimes i see it and laugh and remember that particular day and that soldier. But i think i will keep it forever. I hope that man is doing well right now and have a family as i hope so, and i wish i knew him personally under different circumstances.

I was at Talili Airbase, Iraq back in 2005 ( I was an Australian soldier) the U.S facilities always impressed me.
I couldnt believe the choices of food available even the MRE's were good.
There was a few times I was able to swap a box of of Aussie rations for a box of MRE'S, which usually lasted up until the point a U.S soldier who had tasted our shit rations before, would send a newer soldier over to get their MRE's back..😅😅
I was there a lot too I met Wayne Newton and his wife at a USO SHOW there

One time i was coming from my primary school in 2005 in Baghdad and there was a line of Us troops passing through the way. I waved to a soldier who’s head was in the top of the tank, he went down for a second and came up again, then he threw me a baseball, i took it and went home. Now I’m 24 i still have it with me. Sometimes when i take it out it makes me sad or depressed because it brings me back some bad memories. Sometimes i see it and laugh and remember that particular day and that soldier. But i think i will keep it forever. I hope that man is doing well right now and have a family as i hope so, and i wish i knew him personally under different circumstances.
I’m sure right now if he knows that you still have it with you he’d be amazed and happy.
