Paul Thompson It seems the general consensus from people who actually know what makes a bike good love this thing. Poseur riders don’t get it and that’s fine. Bargain of the decade for sport bikes I think.

Fine review; smuggles in relevant and informed opinions without collapsing under the weight of detail. Brilliant editing. Among other bikes, over the last 40 years I've owned four new Suzuki's and not one has looked aesthetically pleasing from every angle . . . and some would say from any angle. Face only a mom could love? That may keep a few lingering in the orphanage, but it won't stop everyone from filing the papers. This review makes me think that if I could find a demo or a gotta-sell with a few character scars I'd buy one tomorrow.

I have been watching reviews of this moto for a few years and I quite like the front end and fairing. It is a little Angry Bird-ish to be sure but I like it. This particular review is one of my favorites. These guys RODE it at speed and liked it. Many other reviewers never seem to get it out of third gear (which admittedly is illegal and tougher to do on speed limited streets). I would love to have one.

I think the looks of this bike has the same issue the Bandit1250S does. The lines of the bike don't seem to flow well from front to back, but the back looks REALLY good. Also, like the Bandit - I'm just not sure how to fix it.
Perhaps if it were more of a modern interpretation of a late 80s GSX-R....they also could have done something to recall the original Hans Muth Katana.
The naked version I rode certainly ticked all the boxes from the cockpit, but I think the guys make a good point in the video. If Suzuki would have really done something special with the styling, they may have had the big hit they've wanted (or WE"VE wanted) for a long time now.

It's a comfortable sports road bike with some wind protection [not a race replica or even a proper sports tourer]. You can tour on it or take it to a track day and be quick. If you don't mind the looks it's a really good sporty all rounder.

It's a standard. Standards, to me, are inherently confidence inspiring. They're easier to hang off of because you get greater benefit from just getting your butt off in a deep than having absolute perfectly technical body position. And so you have the confidence to ride at a higher level even if a supersport is gonna have marginally better top performance.

since my english is better, it's joy to see every video of yours. i'm looking for an upgrade of my sv 650s and i think here it his, plus for the look i'm agree with you, is the lack of Twin lol, but i tested the N version it was smooth and nice. Its a bike you are not afraid to park in big cities and i like the configuration roadster + fairing, it's seems the perfect stuf to both city and long travel in hollidays. the wrong thing i think in the design in front is that strange buble. suzuki release a black shorter version, really nice look for streets. Also the 2017 version have 10 more hp and more torque !

I think it’s quite good looking from end to end. I don’t understand the opposition to the shape of the fairing at all, it’s just as attractive as the FJR in every respect. Throw a set of bags on it and you have an excellent Sport Touring Bike. I plan to purchase one to have an option living beside my FLHT. The FLHT for comfortable traveling with my wife and the Suzuki when I need to boogie across the land quickly.😎

Abhinav Vivekanand without riding it, purely on observation, the comparison was made the F version felt more planted than the naked in front due to the additional 7kg. I would say it's more to do with the added down force of the front fairing design F version, vs the blunt dam front of naked.

I know you did the 125's but it'd be nice to see something you might not grow out of so quickly! The CB 500x is a great beginner bike and you get the Honda build quality and reliability. Any of the cb500 are great it's just up to the style you want. Don't make my mistake and get a ninja 300 it spent too much time getting fixed and the build quality was terrible. Also have a look at the Yamaha mt07 and the triumph street Triple 660. Get the most powerful bike you can afford so you can get used to the torque of bigger bikes like this Suzuki.

Z1000Jeff I am looking at these 2 bikes. Did you get the z1000sx? Did you test them both with pillion?

Absolutely nailed it mates. Except front looks, this bike is awesome.
    However, identity crisis?
Dont think so. It's a road sport bike like the Ninja 650/1000 or Ducati Supersport.
Not as extreme as a race replica, not as bulky as a sports tourer.

The spiritual successor to the GSX-F Tea Pot, GSX1100EFE and GSX750ES. An honorable tradition of being great bikes which are hideous.

Dude, the key is long as it has to access a recess to be pushed fully home, hence the large fob so extraction is easier. something else which is quite obvious - a large key is less likely to be lost.
your criticism of it is at the very least super picky. i have owned a 2018 model for three years now and it is the best bike i have owned.
