enjoy the vid, thanks for watching
This is so cool, love the video it’s so informative.
Neat concept and I would loved to have had this back in my heyday.
LOVE, LOVE the Core 5
Thanks for this great review!
Thanks for your kind feedback :)
Awesome review.thanks..i like this bike..n I like hub drive motors..be because you can throlltle independent of drivetrain..n mid drive puts extra strain on drivetrain..let me know how you feel about that..I know mid drive has more torque..but most don't come with throttle..n I'm old n I like a throttle.
Seems like a bike, this has the same LCD as my Jetson Warren Ebike. Thanks for sharing man.
I've logged over 2000 miles on my Core-5 with only one flat: a nail went into the rear tire. The brake pads are almost gone, so I'm upgrading them to Tektro 4 piston HD-E725 with 180mm rear and 203mm front rotors. You can change the programming to 7 or 9 PAS levels and change the amount of assistance at each level.
Just watched your POD video, thank you! Funny because you fell in love with So Cal and moved there. I'm born and raised in Dana Point and can't wait to leave lol. Guess we're all different 🤷
Lol nice! I lived in Dana point for a few months before coming to LA. I love the consistent sunshine, but it’s not all roses here. Where are you looking to move to?
Yah its boring there, but pretty. So many other places in Cali. You'll be back! 😄
An you share what seat your purchased and how satisfied you are with it?
I’m 6-5 230. What would you recommend for a class 3 comfortable commuter/ recreation bike?
I'll be lucky if I get eight miles out of my battery of my core five thinking about getting the Taurus now
I'm trying to decide between the Core 5 and HiBoy 7. Which would you suggest Or which was your favorite?
Core 5 is my preference
@beatpioneer334 I'm glad you asked this question. I am looking at the same 2 bikes and trying to decide on which one. Now I don't have to wait for a reply. LOL!
Do you know how it is able to handle weather conditions like constant rain for example
Unfortunately I don’t know, it hasn’t rained here even once since I’ve had this bike.
So I’ve seen that it has a 750w motor and a 500w motor. Very conflicting. Wish I could get solid proof. 😔
Where did you get the bike rack from?
Topeak rack, it’s alright
do you have a link to the rack you have? thanks!
Look at the Ride1up webpage
It appears to be a Topeak Explorer disc brake model, the same one I have for my Core-5.
how well does this bike handle hills?
Pretty well actually with the gears, I have a section in the video early on demonstrating it’s hill performance
We rented these bikes yesterday. There's noway it would of taken us 30miles+ while using anyone the battery. Im 145lbs. We was on a flat bike path. Pas#2 moderate ride average speed 13-15mph. We went 16miles and battery was dead. It was a fun ride although we was seriously thinking about purchasing this bike until we rented them. Just not a big enough battery for us.
Interesting, where did you rent them at? I wonder if they started on a full charge, and were you guys using the throttle a ton or peddling a lot?
@@TailHappyTV Batteries was fully charged. We was using the throttle minimally. We was just "cruising" to get the feel for the bike b4 we purchased. Wanted a base line of how long it would last at an average use in regards to battery. I will say that the ergonomics of the bike was very nice. Im 5'7 and she's 5'1...she had the ST as I did not. They fit us pretty perfect with an upright position. One of the better "position" rides I've had..I would like to try the next step up with the 14amp/h battery. See if I could get an average 30miles. I'd probably buy one . But not only averaging 18miles.
We are in Athens ohio btw. The rental company is local.
Another possibility is that the battery was a battery that has been used a lot and maybe it was wearing out.
I've done several 32-mile trips at PAS 3 cruising at 25mph without draining the 10.4A battery at a bodyweight of 185 # starting at a full charge. I only used the throttle to accelerate from traffic stops.
"This hill is pretty steep"
Why not just give the angle?
I tried to measure it with gps but it didn't log correctly, perhaps I can measure it a different way and leave a comment on the grade % or angle here.
Lol we got the idea perfectly clear, TailHappyTV, you don't need to go measure.... thx for video, looks SO fun at the beach!! 🏝 🤤
I thought Venice beach was nice..This place looks like a dump.
Venice is trash, but interesting vibes and people. South Bay by Manhattan and Hermosa is polished and beautiful.
I like your review except for your riding near 30 mph past pedestrians on a multi-use path and your riding the wrong way on a one way street. Really irresponsible behavior-the kind of thing that gives bike riders a bad rap. Thanks otherwise for a fine review.
You’re right, probably was not a good place to demonstrate the speed. I usually cruise that area much slower.
