I have a couple if these and they spray effortlessly. What I discovered as far as ink goes is wild. I quite tattooing after 25 years or so. Never got rid of any equipment because you never know. I came across my color box with about 50 inks many full never opened. But you can't use expired ink on a person. Being that these are meant for under the skin, they never really dry. If you paint with it, it will dry to the touch, but come right back with moisture as they have no binders. The pigments are ground very fine. So I mixed it with Golden HF Airbrush Medium. I now have 50 new colors at the ready, and they atomize like silk.
Cheers for the review Rob was very interesting off to order a bigger needle for the brush, hobby craft next, looking forward to the project, thank you ,Dave,
There's a video here on youtube about Schmincke airbrush inks are made, quite interesting to watch all the manual labour going into making a "simple" jar of ink. 😮😊
They do look nice inks as you can see with the black those little dagger strokes were very sharp and are a lot blacker than the other paints you use, be good to see them in action👌👍
@@KEITHPARRIS2949 hi not to sure on that when it comes to glass never airbrushed on that substrate before I know you can get glass paint I've seen some in hobby craft which looks like a stained glass window when you apply it
Great review you covered all the bases about the pipets and the seals. I think they are a great value if you get them in a sale, but we will see if you get much tip dry in your next project..
I also have a few that I bought for a different purpose, but i did try it in an airbrush but only single colours. It's a real nightmare to mix them for me, because apparently you have to use the CMYK method of mixing because they are dyes, not pigments, and i don't have the time to learn a new method of mixing. Also, they apparently mix well with Golden airbrush medium for use on hard surfaces.
I used the black pearlescent acrylic ink to blackwash an action figure but don’t like that it sparkles when I shine light on it, how do I get rid of the sparkle?
Hi again I've just bought these from the range to try as 1st ink acrylics for£7 to try what do you think. Tried to add pic but couldnt. Their the artstudio premium 30ml acrylic ink det of 5
Hi I am new to airbrushing and have started to watch your videos. I have a question should I expel all the air from my tank when I finish spraying. Thank you
Good evening excuse me could you tell me how to diluite these acrylic ink colors from Daler Rowney?I sent her a message 5 days ago but she didn't reply.Thanks.
Bought few of Liquitex, spray amazing but they stay wet longer than usual acrylics. Need to be careful and not erase it too soon if you went heavy with coverage, it will smear
just got the FW inks Just be aware that the rubbers on the lid perish and split over time I found one of mine wasn't drawing the ink up and had partially dried up inside So I've put all mine into 30ml dropper bottles which is better

12 months down the line and every word is still bang on As a newbie, loving the FW inks
I visited the factory where these are made, and use them in my airbrush too! So cool to see them being made, highly highly pigmented.

very cool.....has anyone used the Createx binders (4030/4050/4053/6000) with the inks? Can you then erase back for negative application techniques?

Good evening,a true artist answers questions.I wrote you a message for 7 days but without getting an answer.Goodbye.
Hi all you need is tap water with the fw inks
Schmincke makes an iridion pearl dust additive that makes people able to mix their own "metallic" paints (Schmincke Aero Color #28 900). 😊😉
