I have a 2.5" lift with 285's and I just drilled a small hole on the inside of the mudflap where it rubbed and used a zap strap to sinch it back towards the body mount. Gave more than enough clearance and allowed me to keep my mud flaps on. Also definitely don't cut the fender liners. Totally not necessary and just allows more crap to fly up inside the wheel well. All you have to do is un-fasten the front fasteners and push the liner forward a few inches, then you can just drill a small hole further forward in the bumper cover and re-fasten the liner to it. Takes a few minutes and gives tons of room.

I have 265 and had the same issue. My technician simply adjusted the alignemtn and saved my flaps, however the front fender had to be push a couple inches.

Do you like the 3inch lift? I have the same year and model and am looking to modify the lift but don't want anything too aggressive. just enough to get some clearance and keep relative decent mpg.

I loved the 3in lift. And you definitely need new tires after you lift it. Too much gap looks funny.

been subbed to your channel for 2 months now and finally got around to lifting my 4th gen (went for a 3” lift) I have an aftermarket wheel installed that is 17x9 with -12mm offset and am still running 265/70. I’m planning to upgrade to to 285 KO2’s as well. Curious what your measurement is at full lock between the tire and the body mount? Mine is at 1.5 inch-unsure if i might need a body mount chop with my wheel offset. I already pushed the front fender and took off the front mudguards. Some folks said with articulation at full lock i’ll def rub the body mount, but it won’t be that bad.

That's awesome your getting it finally done. I haven't measured it at full lock. Never thought of doing that.

We just got a 2" OME lift for our 4th Gen, hoping to fit our old 285's from the Jeep on after the lift install.

That is one cleeeeaane machine brother!! Love it. Im getting ready to put 285/70/17s on my 06 4runner sport. It sits higher than other 4runners and has "blue toyota bilstien front shocks/struts". I dont think its stock but looks 2" higher all around. Currently have 265/17s. These new 285 duratracs should fit im thinking. Minimal trimming guys? Any input appreciated. First time yota owner
