I love my L322 2010 3.6TDV8 bought 14 months ago. It had a battery drain turned out to be heater thermostat hidden up behind drivers footwell looks like a hedgehog triangle. Plus faulty CD player. Mine has 42k now I just did all the brakes discs pads the lot. Rimmer Bro’s good for ORM parts.
What is the gearbox like? I have a 2003 Range Rover HSE and reverse gear slips terribly. I'm hoping to find a solution to fix it rather than replace the entire transmission
Hello, i Try since many month to find the solution regarding an issue in a L322. In fact you can ignite the car but few second later it stop. Everything Is ok regarding fuel system and I am locked ! I don't know how to fix it . Some "specialist " told me it's regarding suspension system, but I don't know because with the diagnostic case, nothing is apparing.. very weird.... Please help !
Yes the drain issues where mainly on the mk1 L322, you need to make sure you have a decent battery. I use 130ah batteries on my L322’s and have no drain issues even after weeks! You can just squeeze in a large capacity 20 size battery into the tray!
Another thing is wire rush the underside and subframe and buy some spray on chain wax, cheaper than any rust proofing stuff but works great, full of anti corrosion chemicals and once sprayed on sticks well.
Yes it really needs a good wire brush down and under seal.. I prefer Hammerite under seal… I used that new brand and I thought it was crap to be honest
I love my l322 but im biased, i would defo put a full body wrap on it, it will be a hell of a lot cheaper. Its worth putting some money into it if youre going to keep it.
After having a few Rangies I will say they need a good and large capacity battery, if not you’ll also get all sorts of faults, trans fail safe, hdc inactive etc ok start up, even when powered off they will use electric as they monitor suspension and vehicle height and move about to keep level, this stops when battery is low or flat, iv never had low battery in my ownership but there used as a daily so kept charged. My last 4.2 sc I bought only just started, drove 130 miles to services for a brew only to find it wouldn’t start, jump pack on got it going, came home to find battery would take charge but not hold it, new battery and all good.
Amend, if all owners just looked after their cars they would last a lot longer. I had an old Mercedes w123 once.. 350,000 and it ran perfectly (because the owner maintained it and serviced every 5,000 miles) that’s the truck I think ❤️ L322
For sure, my issue seems to have stopped now since I looped the fibre cable in the boot.. though no music or infotainment system .. short term solution and at least my battery doesn’t go flat

Great cars, that’s interesting about the battery drain. I wonder if mine has the same issue … something to look into
42k that is a new car! Good luck 🍀

Also love to knows real world mileage. 21mpg?
Yeah, 24 mpg on a run for me
mz l322 after night suspension drops down? compressor problem? it works for a day and a half but after that it goes down like low rider...
I’d say the bag has a small hole.. most likely

Air bag - been there done it. Front right on 2011 full size supercharged.
A job worth doing for sure
I just watched a video earlier where the stuck entertainment centre was due to the bluetooth module wiring in the boot getting corroded.
Yes generally I think that is one of the main issues or the relay box breaks down

Oh that’s good to know.. what number battery do you use? 130ah is nice.. it’s a big diesel motor and needs a good crank to start
P38 in Australia only available in petrol. Is true elsewhere?
They offered a 2.5 litre diesel, 4.0 petrol and a 4.6 but some countries sold certain models due to popularity and laws on emissions etc
Hi spot a 2007 HSE with 74,000 miles on it so I pray that I have some good luck with it
I’m sure you will, I wish you luck with your new purchase 👌

Yeah this what I was thinking.. though painting it myself seems like an option 😅
In 2007 i got serious luck because i got same problem with battery but i can unlock it but not get problem with satnav
That is lucky, I really want to get the infotainment system working .. no music is no Bueno haha
@@ThatsClassiccars bad thing is i cant play music with main bluetooth

I think this could be my next move.. battery doesn’t look old but it’s not a big boy
They never made a bad Range Rover
But there are bad owners.
I ❤ the L322

Are you insane???
Ahhh thanks for making my day better! In the fact knowing it's not mine:D:D:D
😂 I’m taking you out for a drive… it’s so luxurious inside

Gentlemen of Salvage in uk are good for used parts. Decent prices and fast delivery
Yes I managed to get the wing mirror second hand but the glass looks like it’s not for that model 😂
Spend as much as you can on a battery. It will solve most problems.
