@@PaulJacobs1970 yeah it’s more of a 5th, but Augmented (raised a semitone). Popular in Jazz or some rock and blues. Used often as the 5 chord. So E+ (e g# c) leads to an A maj chord (a c# e). These kind of voicings are common place in black gospel but new to someone like George
I didn’t think E would go with C. I’ve only learnt 3rds 5ths and 7ths not 6ths
@@PaulJacobs1970 yeah it’s more of a 5th, but Augmented (raised a semitone). Popular in Jazz or some rock and blues. Used often as the 5 chord. So E+ (e g# c) leads to an A maj chord (a c# e). If you want an actual example, there is an Augmented chord used on piano as the intro to The Beatles’ Oh Darling
@@PlayNowWorkLater thank you for the explanation. And I love the time Oh Darling!
@@PaulJacobs1970 fun thing to know about augmented chords is like diminished chords every note is the same distance away only instead of a distance of minor 3rds apart they are major 3rds apart. This means an E augmented is also a G# aug and a C aug. This is quite useful for key changes.
Billy added so much to this band and really added something different to make them unique. Probably purely by accident but it enhanced their sound. This band had so many transformations which is why they had 21 number one hits. All gems
George toca el bajo, el mejor bajo de todo el catálogo beatle
Will it go round in circles, Billy?!! 🖤💙🖤💙🖤
Wonderful Billy Preston!.
