I wonder if John realized that when he brought Paul into the band, that was when the band had a new leader. From that point on Paul pushed for his version of how things should be, he brought on George, got rid of Pete and brought in Ringo. Just was the one who pushed the Beatles forward constantly, and it was a good thing.

John had this song on his "Imagine " album. One of my favorites.

Imagine if this had replaced Maxwell's Silver Hammer on Abbey Road? George would then have had the three best full songs on that album. And it would be hard to dispute as the greatest all time album.

Maybe if you factor some things .....they appear to be in the final stages as a band, Paul is known for throwing in gibberish until he decides what the lyric is, John recorded and released it so he wrote it, and "gimme some truth" FEELS like he is saying that to Paul perhaps?
