- I will shoot another video later showing how to replace the injector. Note-you can measure the resistance across the two injector terminals, the neighboring injectors had 14 ohms, the bad injector was 500 ohms. Not sure of the exact resistance spec, but this is just another test to condemn a bad injector.
Very nice
Good to know thanks
YES IT WILL
Injector resistance should be between 13.4 and 14.2 ohms when cold. Replace the bad injector and you're done. Never run a misfiring engine like that because it will destroy your catalytic converter.
Thanks for the info.
!!
wat do I do next
Can you tell me where the thermostat is located
Hey will the toyota solara 3.0L engines fit a toyota avalon 3.0 L??? Let me know plz..
THANK YOU..
Roberto Gabaldon yes
Yes same shit
I have a 2001 Toyota Solara 1MZFE V6 engine and my firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6 and was wanting to know which spark plug wire goes to which
Aaron Gulledge 1-4, 2-5, 3-6
@@randytempleton5797 Okay, thank you very much. That helps a lot

this guy helped me out
Hey I have 1999 V6 solara. Do you know where the MAP (manifold absolute pressure sensor) is located? I'm breaking my head trying to find it. Lol
ABOVE_956 Sorry but I don’t remember. My DIL doesn’t own that car anymore or I would look at it. And we just bought a new house and all of my Chiltons books are still in boxes. You can probably google it. It may be in the upper intake plenum towards the rear, just guessing.
will be the same order of a solara 2007 v6
Excellent video, very easy to follow along. So, when you pulled the #4 Coil and noticed no change in the engine misfire, how did you determine it was the injector and not the Coil. Was it because you verified there was spark on that Coil? I'm getting a P0301 and I verified the injector is firing and the Coil is firing on #4. When I pull the boot on #1, I get no change in the engine misfire. So that would lead me to believe the boot or wiring is bad on #1. I'm changing the boot and Spark Plug wire on #1 to fix the problem. Anything else I should check first? I've already changed the Plugs.
Brian Hamlin You are correct on everything you said. Sounds like #1 plug wire is bad. You can pull the spark plug wire off of #4 coil and see if you have spark there like in the video. But if the plug wire is completely bad you may not have a spark there. You could also mark and swap two of the coils on the front Bank and see if the misfire stays at #1 or if the misfire follows the coil swap. Let me know.
Where are you located? I've been chasing this misfire for MONTHS and can't find it. I'd love to bring it to you so you can diagnose it, if you're in my area that is.

The Ignition Coil plastic locks are pissing me off
I know! Ridiculous.
Had. Similar problem found out it was (((🎻 injector )
Would you replace 1 injector or all 6? What brand replacement Injectors, Toyota ? Thanks for the video.
Joe T In my opinion, injectors don’t fail very often in any make of car. I would just replace the one. You might check the resistance on the other two that are easily accessible. Two weeks ago I had a 2010 Ford Escape V-6. It had a miss and a code for one injector. I had to remove intake to access all of them. The bad injector was open circuit. A new injector had 12-13 ohms resistance. I checked the remaining injectors, 4 were 12-13 ohms, the last one was 93 ohms, would probably fail soon. So I replaced it also. Just to be proactive. HTH.
Joe T I used an Oreillys injector.
Thank you for help so cable go 6 to 3 then 4 to 1 then 2 to 5 right
Sorry, but I never removed the plug wires from the rear bank, so I’m not sure which cylinders they go to on the rear. You could probably Google it.
I need to know how to replace injecter
I have another video that shows how.
I fidnt get it were was your misfire at ??
The injector was bad as stated at time 7:35.
Compression numbers btw cylinders should be within 10%of each other
US Camry? I never see Camry like this in my life!
Yea we have Solara's in the states
I own one drop top version
Its a camry solara
That type of coil that fires two cylinders is two completely separate circuits on the inside just because one cylinder of the coil is firing definitely does not mean the other is so just because one is firing does not mean four is firing seen it many many times
Thank you for that info!
my bf solara running worse after tune up
Shay White wrong spark plugs i bet
Wait ,,,what ? I heard you but I wasn't listening....
sorry dude but that sounded really wrong for is never going to do anything except hit the spark plug for that's it out of a cylinder plug over to another spark plug dad is never going to happen ever in the world.
Agreed - P0304 on this vehicle can never be a bad coil or wire because that would affect #1. It is either a bad plug or a a bad injector or some valve issue on #4.
stop speculating and guessing and 'probably' and learn how it actually works before you make a video. fellows view these for a solution, not guesswork
Very well said my friend I tell this to people all the time especially those who go to AutoZone and places like that looking for diagnostic advice instead they get a maybe a probably could be and a bad guess.. if you don't know what you're talking about don't open your mouth words to live by but just wanted to let you know i completely agree with you
