Why does SoT use the South Channel? Isn't there a Western Channel for Geelong shipping? How/where does it approach/leave the South Channel? Seems like a roundabout route.
The west channel was removed as a designated channel years ago, as the depth was too shallow for most vessels. The very small ones like the King Islander and very old Bass Trader and PoT draw less that 6metres. Less depth for the SoT's would mean speed restrictions in shallow waters.
Beautifully presented fishing boat, hats off to the Skipper
I suspect you're no 'Wally', Daff. Your application, persistence and knowledge show through. Good stuff, man, good stuff. 👍
So kind thank you.
