Simple ideas that are often hard for a beginner to grasp, until someone gives them a simple graphical view of what's happening. The setup may be slightly different on some radios but it doesn't matter which radio they use, the principle is the same. Well done Adam.
Thank you for this great graphical explanation! I am flying collective pitch RC helicopters. So now I really deeply understand why any kind of Rates or Expo were confusing me totally. My known model was reacting very unexpected. I was from day one prefering high rates and no expo, so i got used to the tiniest stick movements having a big effect on my helis. I watched this late, but thank you very much for this video!! It explained everything!
Hi Adam, great tutorial. Can you give me a favor and answer one question related to the FS-i6S? Is it possible to somehow set up a switch or other button to move the servo arm in one direction and when the button is released, the servo will return automatically to the center position?
Amazing explanation. I'm not flying any aeroplane but entering my first battlebot match soon and finding it so hard to actually point my bot in a specific direction, I keep wiggling side to side as it's almost impossible to drive in a straight line. Going to try messing with this and see if it helps! Think it should.
are you familiar with the RL simulator. if so there is a setting in the physics area that allows you to set different percentages for flying. there is a physics speed setting that can be changed anything from 100% down to 20%. i have been playing with different settings and would like to know what an 80% setting would equate to in my transmitter. it slows the reaction of the plain down but what would be the rate or expo setting in my NX8
Hi bro. How are you?. This video will help me to understand the functions of TX basics. I already asked about the video of stick adjust in i6S. Then I want to know which editing software do you used bro?.
I´m using neg. Expo on one of my model sailboats with a tacking jib (The front sail wanders over from side to side, opposite of the wind) to get good feel on the ends, and be able to control the sail in and out smoothly and finely. The stick in center means the jib is held on the middle of the foredeck, wich I want to pass over quickly
I have the radio Master TX 16S radio controller I brought the capaci Sinaloa 25 trying to get it to slow down not too good with betaflight configurator They said you can go with in beta flight configurator to slow your FPV down very confusing for me
Hi Adam,it's me again sorry. I'm updating my firmware a while ago but It wasn't able. It's getting stock on when I press the continue on firmware update?
Hi guys! My i6X (firmware version: 1.0 01-Jul-2016) expo works in exactly the same way as the i6S. Positive expo for less sensitivity near the center stick.
Gloriously explained for a guy like me who needed this kind of explanation on expo!
Finally someone makes rate and expo understandable without the minutiae and complication!!!
Thank you,
So glad I could help! Thanks for the feedback!
This was very helpful and gives a good visual example and effect of dual rates and expo in a model.

G-SUS! KRAIST! One of the best videos on the internet! No background music while explaining something! Thank God! and well explained! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
As a beginner, this is a very good video to explain Rates/Expo. Thanks
Excellent! Glad to hear it!
clear and simple to understand. Well done!

Dude 💡 that helped a ton thanks !
My pleasure!

One of the best explanation of rates & expo
Thank you!
These basic videos are sooo helpful
Rates = Agility (linear effect)
Expo = sensitivity at stick location (exponential effect)
Thanks! This is one of THE best instructional videos, PERIOD! 👍👍
Thank you very much, your video is very easy to understand
This was brilliant!
Great explanation! Thank you!
Best Demo !
Best explanation ever thumbs up
the best video for biginer
Great Video , iv leared alot from your videos , GodMan
Great video with clear explanation

All doubts solved now
Thank you for that demo
Thank you! The visual was very helpful
Thank you so much for the info. Great job
Glad I could help!👍
Im visual learner. Thanks hips brother.
Brilliantly explained
Agreed
Great explanation thanks!!
8:44 it’s also muscle memory too and feel.
Thank you....great learning experience

this is cool lol
Thanks 😍
What about Rates over 100%? Is that possible, considering the Servo has enough range of motion?

Will I do this in fs-ct6b transmitter ?
Hi! No, I don't think this will work with the CT6B.
For quads, do i have to leave the rates 100% and Expo at 0% in the controller or it is override by the flight controller settings?
you don't HAVE to, but if you have multiple quads that's probably the easiest thing to do, so that you don't have to redo it for every model profile.

yes this helped thank you
Nice it work for Jet finally i can fly my
I always knew what rates were. But EXPO wasn’t quite there with my understanding. Cheers 🥂
Hi Adam,if I updated the firmware of my fs-i6s to 2020,would it still bind to older receivers like x6b or ia6b? Please help
Hi! Yes, for sure it will!
Thanks for reply Adam,I'll try to update it on afternoon. My new x6b is coming tomorrow.
I thought Flysky negative expo loosened the sticks. Flysky i6x??
It's definitely negative on i6x for softer stick

Mine is also negative for softer stick
minus expo is for when ya over expo in beta flight ya can take it away easily in the field
negative expo is for guys who come on too strong when they meet a girl, they end up in the friend zone and crash
I’m that person
bom vídeo obrigado.
Great explanation vid thanks
Thank you ❤
Thankyou. Helpful demonstration.
