Maybe the critics aren't giving it too much credit but god this is such a good and entertaining movie! I can't remember the last time a film had me this excited the whole time and also cracked me up with so good jokes! Plus it has a great cast, I want to watch it again already!
At the start of the movie, when Kimura is in the hospital with his son, we see Momomon come on the TV. If you slow down or pause the scene you’ll see Momomon with a LADYBUG🐞making a LEMON🍋and TANGERINE🍊pie. Above them is a flying HORNET🐝. Ladybug goes to give the pie to a WOLF🐺 and in the background you can see a pink Momomon wearing a crown, a reference to PRINCE👑. It’s such a great detail and I didn’t pick up on until my fourth watch. Love this movie, my favorite film of the year!
Nice catch on the fruit truck that kills Prince being the one that almost hits Ladybug at the start but, also, I caught that he checked to the left as he was crossing the street because he's used to it. When I was in England and Ireland, I often almost got hit by a car because I looked the wrong way.
Bro why is no one is talking about Ryan Reynolds cameo Brad Pitt did a cameo in his deadpool movie Now Ryan's done a cameo in Bullet Train Another fact both are made by the same director
You didn't mention Masi Oka as the Conductor and Karen Fukuhara as the Concession Girl who should have gotten more play as the stars of Heroes and The Boys!
Other trivia: Zazie Beetz who plays the Hornet, disguises herself with a stuffed Momomon costume. Later that costume helps save Ladybug during the train crash by cushioning the impact. In the movie Deadpool 2, Zazie plays Domino who at one point uses a giant stuffed animal to cushion her fall. In Bullet Train, Joey King's character the Prince is seen reading a book called Shibumi which is a novel about an assassin who uses improvised common items to commit his assassinations. The main character of Shibumi is of Russian descent who adopts Japanese culture and customs and becomes a highly-skilled assassin. The White Death's origins appears to be partially draw on this as he is Russian who rises through the ranks of the Japanese criminal underworld, adopting Japanese customs.
It's also funny that Zazie Beetz's character in Deadpool 2, Domino, has a quirk of being Super Lucky, which is an ongoing theme in Bullet Train, specifically with Joey King's and Brad Pitt's characters XD
After watching this movie, I noticed a few things: 1. Channing Tatum was used (again) as a sex joke, first one being on the movie "This Is The End". 2. During the slow-mo train wreck scene, the mascot is definitely a Domino reference, considering the fact that she was present on the film playing The Hornet. 3. Kimiko was present, and also Ryan Reynolds himself. 4. It is one of the best films ever made. Please go watch it.
If actors can command $20 million a picture then Brad Pitt is one of them that truly deserves. Wonderful actor. It would also appear that he earned his money here. I'm looking forward to see it but I have an aversion to attending movie theaters by myself. I'll have to wait for it to stream, I guess.
Agreed. I get miffed when an actor gets an obscene amount of money for doing nothing, but Brad Pitt was putting in the work here. Maybe he was atoning for World War Z?
Its very nice. greatly directed n everything, casts are well chosen and it came out very YES. but it deserves alot more attention. The joke are fresh (very fresh), how each scene were filmed. its absolutely mesmerizing. If only it came out in the theatre it'll get so much more attention.
Just finished this movie. Had no expectations going in, now thinking best movie I've seen in a long time. The exposition, The writing, the comedy. This movie is awesome and just proves critics have not got a clue! If you haven't turn this off and go watch! 👍🏻👊🏻😛
one info you missed, the guy who plays the young version of the elder is YOSHI SUDARSO, an Indonesian actor known for his role in power rangers dino charge
WHAT A MOVIE!! Best action comedy crime film of the year! The plot twists, action sequences, cinematography are all great. Also, you forgot about the adventure of fiji water bottle lol
It's very good. I thought it was directed by Quentin Tarantino or Guy Ritchie. That's how good this movie was. Funny, action packed, the plot and characters are all memorable. 10/10 for me.
Hilariously I went looking for this video to see if it was the same truck at the end that near hit lady bug at the beginning. I slowmo'd and paused the video to check myself only for you to explicitly tell me moments later. Great film.
Brad Pitt's acting is the best, and he's an honest and candid actor. The movie was so fun and the action was interesting. It relieved my stress after a while.
The easter eggs I noticed 1. Brad Pitt's always eating in his movies. Even in this one. 2. The gold phone resembles the one used in Ocean's 13 (Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock have both acted in Ocean movies)
I dont know if it was an easter egg, but in the beginning lemon talks too tangerine about how his/a bullet proof vest doesnt protect your neck and later on hé survives being shot because of his vest, but tangerine got shot in the neck, killing him
This movie is better described as a light-hearted action comedy with high quality action, exquisite stunt work, and fight scenes with heart and clever charm.
I think you missed an easter egg. There was a book in a scene called "Shibumi" which is a book about a retired assasin that killed a man with a pencil, it also appeared in John Wick 1.
Fun fact you missed: When you see Lemon about to put the necklace on Tangerine (in the bathroom) you see the “The Father’s” fingers move which is how I knew “The Father” was still alive
You missed Shibumi by Trevanian! The grand daddy of all current the assassin-verse. There was a ½ second shot showing the guard at the driving range in John Wick 1 reading it when Reeves drove in. Also Keanu Reeves have optioned the movie rights to the book although I doubt if it will ever be made. However John Wick is a homage to Shibumi. The pencil quote is a direct quote from Shibumi.
Small details I noticed: 1. The Prince has a similar (if smaller) cross tattoo as her father and brother on her hand. The song that play before she’s introduced is by a Russian band as well, all hints to who was before the reveal 2. Everyone in this movie is convinced that they are the main character, except the main character
Just watched it! All the choreography for the fight are very Jackie Chan like. I loved it. Also in the end I loved that the truck that hit Joey King is a tangerine truck driven by Lemon who survived the fall. Amazing!
This movie was a good fun ride but has a major plot hole. The Wolf is an assassin who is given pictures of people he's meant to kill. He's given a picture of The Hornet, who is clearly a WOC, but Wolf attacks Ladybug like he knows he suppose to be Hornet. Bruh didn't you receive a picture of Hornet, why is he attacking Ladybug? Is it because he stained his suit? The Wolf feels completely unnecessary and you dont lose much if he wasn't in the movie.
One thing i noticed is when ladybug was just about to step off from the curb, a truck with the tangerine logos sped off where he should have walked , the same truck saved him when the actual tangerine killed prince with it XD
Brad Pitts "bad luck" in the movie turns into someone else's good luck at times, even his own. He bumped into the Wolf spilling his wine, which caused him to go an clean it off, so he didn't eat the cake that killed everyone. Stepping into the puddle at the start of the movie kept him from getting hit by the tangerine truck that Lemon took later and ran down Prince with just before she shot up everyone that survived. There is more, but I need to watch it again to remember all the details. The story he was told by the Elder about Lady Bugs holding the worlds sorrow has something to do with it, I am almost sure of it.
You covered the fact that Brad Pit did a quick one second cameo in Deadpool 2 but you didn't talk about how Ryan Reynolds (aka Deadpool) did a quick one second cameo in Bullet Train. That was one of the funniest parts of the movie. Tit for tat so to speak. I am still laughing over it. LMAO! 🤣 I forgot to mention that the assassin called The Hornet that was poisoning people was the same actor that played Domino in Deadpool 2. 👍
Joey king was really good here. She shows she has an acting range beyond just playing innocent little girls like I’ve seen her do and I think it’s great that her range is developing so well
What I liked that we got some context for everyone so you get an understanding of what everyone’s beef is. Poor ladybug, though. Everyone who encounters him wants to kill him and his face is always like “ wtf did I do?”
There was one weird thing, I noticed, that you didn't mention. Sandra was talking to Pitt, on the phone, for most of the movie. I thought I heard Femke Jenson's voice on the phone and didn't know Sandra was in the movie till the end. According to Goggle, Jenson was in the movie but, when I tried to figure out what role she played, the only thing that comes up is Wolverine. What's up with that?
Few of these are really "Things you missed" these are more additional information about cast and crew. Trivia if anything. I was actually hoping for some easter eggs.
SPOILERS!! I laughed so hard when Bad Bunny's character gets 💀at the beginning. I'm sure many wanted to go watch it to see him in the film only to be a running gag of moving the corpse.
Ladybug's 'therapist', Barry, sounds like a nod to the Bill Hader comedy side note: i think it needs to be a changed from Chekhovs gun to Leitch's water bottle
Which character from this movie do you think should get a spinoff show/movie?
The twins should have a prequel. The chemistry between Aaron taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree- Henry was amazing
Caravan
The twins
Lemon and Tangerine.
The Fiji water and the snake.
Maybe the critics aren't giving it too much credit but god this is such a good and entertaining movie! I can't remember the last time a film had me this excited the whole time and also cracked me up with so good jokes! Plus it has a great cast, I want to watch it again already!

Saw it in IMAX also. Twice. Great movie.
Made me so mad when Tangerine died though. He was literally about to be the hero to end it right then and there
But he didn't. There's an after end credits scene where he's shown getting out of the water and driving over Prince. In a truck full of Tangerines.
@@harshada7827 no, that's Lemon.
