I already bought an Anson Belt gift package but it's time to do it again! The very first hack (rolling underclothes together) made my jaw drop open. Simply brilliant!!! And, all I need to do is grab the rolled 'bundle' each morning when I head to the shower!

Can’t wait to try them out. I work at a hospital where shirt and tie is expected. Will these belts hold up to having a key keeper and radio and cell phone on your side every day? I kill most dress belts in no time because of this.

    Special Airport!
    - Wear Chelsea boots when you're at the airport. Easy to remove at the control.
    - Empty your water bottle before control and fill it up at the water fountain. Any decent airport has a water fountain. You don't want to wait for the water to unfreeze.
    - Go to the bathroom before you enter the plane. It can take an hour before you are authorized to leave your seat.
    - Wait for the last call before you enter the plane. So many people are waiting in line to make sure they get a storage space. But you want to reduce the amount of time you'll be sitting in that busy plane. Aircrew will help you find some proper storage anyways.
    - Get yourself a good pair of earplugs. Being in a plane for hours is like sitting in a factory's workshop. Noise pollution can take so much energy from you. Get a cushion pillow, to keep your neck warm and comfortable, and a night mask. Keep all three items in the pillow case, ready for use.
    - Remove your Chelsea boots but make sure you have clean socks. Your feet will swell. Bring a small pair of slippers, the floor can be cold.
    - Keep your toothbrush and toothpaste with you, with the authorized amount of face cream and moisturizer. It'll helpful when you leave the plane right before you meet a business partner at the gate.
    - Every 2 hours, get at the back of the plane and stretch for 15 min. You will end up much better when you arrive.
    - At destination, stay in the plane while everyone is getting excited. It'll be easier to move around when everybody is out. You're not gonna be late, especially if you have luggage in cargo. Most of the time you'll have to wait for them to arrive on the conveyor belt anyways.
    - Greet your neighbours when you sit, even if you don't plan to talk to them during the flight. That's basic politeness.

I agree with everything except I like to be in the plane first to get a good storage spot near my seat. I might as well wait in the plane anyway. If you plan to access your bag and want to ensure nobody steals/adds anything, try to keep it near you.

@@ashresearcher This isa good observation. A month ago my carry on was a couple meters in front of me, when we were preparing to leave the plane someone grabbed my carry-on and tried to leave with it, I called him on that, and he apologized and said was distracted, of course I did not believe a word, but since I was in a foreign country I didn't made a fuss about it.

You can use small peice of cardboard and tape it to your presidental folded pocket square. It keeps it it's shape and doesn't let pocket square fall inside the pocket. I always use it whenever I want to look sharp.

    • @WDGFE
      @WDGFE 5 років тому +6

I use large index card, cut down to the right size, inside the folded square, and clipped at the bottom to hold it all together and add just a bit of weight.
It’s stiff enough to keep everything in shape, but flexible enough to bend some with the pocket, so looks more natural that something stiffer.

The thick sock and hair dryer worked like a charm. Just did that to a pair of shoes that i bought, which i love but was a bit too tight. Took a couple of tries and now it's perfect. For those concerned about drying out the leather, I use some leather conditioner afterwards to return the moisture back. A bit of warning though, leather conditioner may make your leather a shade darker so use with caution.
