Loticians should explain that retwists do not make the hair loc. They simply make it neat and create a uniform look. Lack of combing and the natural matting process makes it loc.
So much product will be stuck in this poor person's hair. Also, why would you avoid the budding? It's beautiful and healthy. Please guys, learn to do your own locs. Just maintain it yourself if you can because a lot of these locticians will mess you up. You learn so much about your hair that way, and get better over time. Especially if you aren't looking for a clean cut, uniform look
Why would people avoid budding when that's part of the process? I hate that social media has made people think they have to look perfect all the time. If someone has that type of mentality then they probably shouldn't get locs, that's just not what it's about. They'll be bald headed quick.
Budding is normal- you don't have to control the loc - they are suppose to bud and swell - please don't drink this kool-aid.. she doesn't know what she's talking about
As others have implied, I feel like combing through more than the new growth would work against the process. If it was bunching, maybe I would understand, but from what I understand, budding is good for locs
Na whatever my hair wanna do naturally I love. Give me all the budding and whatever comes naturally. I don’t enjoy my locs for an aesthetic because all of ours lay and flourish so differently which makes everyone’s journey so beautiful. We just need water fr fr and here and there a nice oil. Focus on scalp care , re twist when you please and let them breathe and be patient
My favorite part about locs, even before i started when i used to do 2 strand twists regularly, is the frizz. I love the frizz, i love the "wild" look it gets over time.
Why are we avoiding budding? That's the entire point 😂😂
What's wrong with budding? The bud is what locs are supposed to do. You want the swelling. Leave that man hair alone.
