    I honestly don’t agree with the two week retwists, especially with starter locs. Don’t be a perfectionist. Allow your hair to grow and gain new growth so you can have healthier locs in the long run and your hair will definitely get longer faster. EMBRACE THE ROOTS! EMBRACE THE FRO UNDER YOUR DREADS!

      Straight facts

    • @marvetblack7025
      @marvetblack7025 2 роки тому +11

      Facts 💯. Healthy head of locs starts from the root of the hair
      Hence locs need to be retwisted when there's adequate regrowth to avoid damage and achieve fuller healthier locs over time.

      darren well yes tree oil is amazing. What you can do is add tea tree oil, peppermint oil and rosemary to your conditioner. You can moisturize your hair with a leave in spray and add the combination from above to your leave in c itinerary spray. That will soothe your scalp and keep your hair moisturized

    Also not to be mean or a stickler but the “you don’t want that” stuff is kinda iffy. Some people do like the “messy” look and it’s not at all a bad thing. Hair can’t be perfect all the time, that’s why people have bad hair days. Part of having locs is embracing the frizz and the slight imperfections

    • @SashaFearless
      @SashaFearless  4 роки тому +1

I have the same pins you are using in the video and when I double pin it flattens out the loc where the pin is placed at the bottom. I say 2 weeks because I find that when people wait 4-8 weeks, there tends to be a big ugly ball( happens when hair is maturing), at the root of the loc. When retwisted, the ball doesn’t lay down smoothly. Retwisting every two weeks, I’m the beginning, gets rid of that peoblem

    So is it false when people say that retwisting earlier than 4-8 weeks will thin your roots?

    For at home re-twists who don’t have a big dryer. Will hand held work? Just take longer

    • @SashaFearless
      @SashaFearless  5 років тому

      nydrojna yes it will work but unfortunately you’re right it will take longer. Also, if your hair is longer it’ll be even longer

    • @SashaFearless

      M. ella it’s ok, that’s normal, the back is usual the first part to untwist. Don’t worry it’s normal, this is why I recommend a Retwist every two weeks until it matures. Tie it down with a scarf or Durga every night and every chance you get, it locks faster and your twists can stay longer
