I'm like gurl give me all my time 😂. My hair is shorter at the top and it's driving me crazy. I need a retwist because my roots is thicker, yep thicka. His locs looks very nice! I had the same question about the foam. My understanding is products other than oil based becomes embedded and remain in the locs and will cause build-up over time. I've come to learn that those who just use a combination of rosewater and vitamin-E to moisturize the locs and the use of their favorite oil to oil the scalp has healthier locs. Also, to towel/natural dry instead of the dryer. It will dry out the hair and scalp. In essence I'm saying doing less is more. Just my opinion of course.

One can't be obsessed with neatness when it comes to locs. Without new growth there would be no locs. New growth equals a healthy scalp that produces health hair. :)

I'd wait a month with starter locs so for the first six months. Then for 6-15 months wait 2 months then after that U can go 3 months
I waited a whole year
