    Thank you for this. And thank you for the links. We are building a couple rigs this year for an epic trip this fall, and this video, along with the links are exactly what we needed! Great "non-review" ..... you reviewed the product very well

    The use of the round magnetic light mounts is clever. They look like they'd work with Nite Ize Steelie mounts so you could have a few located around the vehicle to easily utilize the accesory lights without that extending stick.

    Wish they’d put DC5521 ports on their products so I can use the diesel heater while keeping the fridge cold…

      Pretty solid little unit. I thought the lights would be a gimmick, but turned out I liked having them while cooking dinner.

    Ist it possible to use it while it’s being charged by solar power? Or do you have to charge it, unplug it and then use it? Thanks for the video

    The lights are now but shoudlve made it modular and made the casing way smaller. That wouldve been a better selling point.

    Why havent they added covers for the outlets yet. Seems like a no brainer thing that should be present on a product designed to take out of the house to provide you power when away from your usual power options

      Darn good question. I’m pretty sure the new Dakota Lithium battery has covers. I haven’t looked too much into theirs, but it may have some of the answers you’re looking for.

    how long did it run the Starlink system?

    • @JustinBMcBride
      @JustinBMcBride  4 місяці тому +1

      I had it run the Starlink for a few hours for two days. And when I packed up camp, the battery was around 19%.
      Starlink wasn’t running nonstop though and I was using the battery to charge other items, so I can’t give you a full 100% to 0% time expectation.

      That’s awesome! Very important for me for when I take the family out, I can get some work done. I tried to buy one but doesn’t look like it’s on sale yet?

    Zero interest in any of these power stations until they better accommodate 12v use cases.
    1. Provide a way to charge via 12v at higher watts! Cigarette lighter as the only solution is nonsense. Needing a separate inverter is nuts when the thing IS AN INVERTER. They need something equivalent to DC-to-DC charging for "dumb" batteries or Goal Zero's Yeti Link thing.
    2. For the love of god please provide a 12v output that is higher than 10 amps. The new Oupes Mega 2 has a 12v/30 amp anderson output. This should be standard. It can run diesel heaters, it can be connected to switching systems like an Auxbeam, or a distribution block like something from Blue Sea. Crazy that they market these things to overlanders, RVers, etc. who all run 12v systems, but make no effort to accommodate 12v systems. Please share this feedback with any of the power station companies you work with in the future.

      Sounds like you need to build a dual battery system that fits your needs better. It’s no secret that these are built for the masses at as little cost as possible to the manufacturer. A system similar to what Redarc offers is my preferred power method, but it can be complicated and messy and is easy to out price the average consumer.

    200 lumens. The lights are just a gimmick. Not worth the extra $100 for the two lights.

      I agree, I've been carrying the C1000 with the new Devos Lightranger. It's a way better combo.
