I've been seeking a Power Station in preparation of the 2024 Hurricane Season in Florida and after watching your review of the Anker C800 Plus I've finally made a purchase. I have added a solar panel as added backup after the storms have blown through. I've been through 12 hurricanes and seem to learn something new each time. Can't wait to get this unit.☔🌦
I already have flashlights and lanterns that take 18650 and 21700 lithium batteries, so I opted for the C800 without the lights for $429. I would rather have the extra storage space on top for my own lights, chargers and cables. I prefer flashlights with replaceable, rechargeable batteries that are now becoming the standard in pro flashlights, vapes, etc. I also already have a tripod for my lantern that has an amazing amount of lighting options and modes, and that lantern has two 1/4" tripod threads built into it. It is the Sofirn BLF LT1 and it takes four 18650 batteries, so it has an amazing runtime. Probably the best smallish lantern on the market. Great review of an excellent product! Subbed
Good review. I'm looking at this one now. Its on sale for $399 or $449 for the version with the lights. But for an extra $100 I'm leaning toward the the c1000 as its expandable.
Another great review. I have to say, I have an Anker C1000 and it really surprised me. I have a bunch of EcoFlow's (D Max w/D2Max EB, Dmini, River2, solar panels and Wave) and I'm just really impressed with Anker lately. I'd like to try out that extra battery for the C1000. Keep up the great reviews.
And, have you tried the extra 1000 battery? I am considering buying them all at once and having them in the van while traveling... How long can it last with a 12V Dometic Fridge?
@@BurimPrroi I haven't tried the extra battery. I usually get 24-36 hours for my 12V fridge with a smaller power station. I'd hope you'd get similar or better.
I think you missed what maybe the most glaring reason for those lights. If you're an apartment dweller and lose power, you want to be able to charge your phones, laptops and of course, you will be in the dark. So telescoping that sucker up in the air will light your entire room. The other flashlights are there and ready to walk around your otherwise dark abode. I love that thing. Just bought a 448 kWh Bluetti and I love it, but I might love this more.
At this size and price, expansion batteries would probably be so much you might as well just buy a second main unit! Still waiting for Bluetti's B230 to be cheap enough that I don't think "I could save a little longer and just get another AC200 Max"

Couid you address inverter “leakage?” Not sure how these package units avoid this but why do inverters still draw stupid amounts of power when not being used?
Ummm... Can't expand? Get a 5k to 15k rack mount battery. A cable to attach it to the solar input, done. Expanded. Now charge your big battery, not the Anker and it'll charge your Anker. The rack mount battery is 52.1 volts and the solar input on the Anker can handle 60. I've seen this done on the 380. So go ahead add 240 kilowatts of battery to your little unit. I.e. 16 15k rack mount batteries. Of course I expect most people would just get one 5,210 watt battery, rack or golf cart form factor, and a 48 volt charger.
