    Hey, Brian!
Not related to this video, but thanks for helping my upper back explode. I have a hard time tying my shoes when I wear some of my shirts, because bending forward will tear them apart at my shoulder blades. And I have actually lost weight during this transformation.
I'll send you a bill to replace my wardrobe. Cheers!

    1. Focusing on breathing/bracing or core STRENGTH (not just crunches) has made my lifts go up by massive numbers.
    2. Love the blue line/red line shirt. From a LEO we really appreciate it.
Will keep buying your shirts and hopefully a program soon to help.

Whelp, for the first time ever, I got bad news. Finished dark horse. Tested strict ohp a couple days ago, couldn't press my old 1rm. Missed it by five pounds. Just got back from testing squat. Missed my old 1rm by ten pounds. This could be because my variation selection for those two were poor choices. I've used z press as my alternate the last two program runs and my ohp never went up. This time (3rd program using it) it went down. I suspect z press is a poor choice for me, as I struggle to maintain posture long before the weight gets anywhere near my ohp. Front squat (because it sucks so bad) is my variation choice for squat. It's equal to my bench. Consequently, I haven't squatted anything near "heavy" the whole program. Bench and dead might be up a little, since I beat my conventional 1rms with variations during the program. (Tempo, 3 sec pause bench and deficit dead lift). Dunno. Haven't tested them yet.
I don't have bands so I just did the DE vanilla. It was an exercise in holding onto the bar while it tried to fly away. Probably need bands for it. I dunno... I think I'm just not "stuck" at a high enough level of strength to benefit from all the variation and dynamic technique stuff. I was stoked to finally squat over 225 eleven weeks ago or whatever it was. Today, I can't squat 225. Considering I set all my last PRs within weeks of almost dying of sepsis, this feels pretty bad.

    • @undrachevr
      @undrachevr 5 років тому

Are you doing the same variations every week? I change them from week to week. Make sure to include some sort of standing OHP variations. Use a squat variation that you can handle more weight too SSB, high bar, box, pins, paused.

I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

If you eat and train enough and correctly it'll take you 1-2 years to gain that amount of muscle if you are a man, and 1,5-2 times longer if you are a woman.
Do lots of compound movement, and eat lots of regular, healthy food. If you are naturally skinny and have a hard time to add weight, include more nuts, almonds and seeds. If you are scared of getting fat, add beans and lentils instead. (or, if you are like most people, add some of each.)
Those are some of the healthiest way to add more protein, because of how rich they are in micro nutrients.

      +unded emperor still small.
Eating whatever is the short term solution.
I went from 180 to 220 in about 8 months with a dirty bulk.
Then from 220 to a pretty lean, not too far from abs showing 194 currently in about 6 months.
Wasn't that hard tbh. I'm currently stronger than I was through the bulk.
You'll be bigger in no time. I found doing less rest in between workouts and eating less was the solution.
If you're playing the long term game, gain about a kilo a month than maybe a mini cut during the summer where you lose maybe 5 kilos.
You probably aren't gonna gain 22 lbs of muscle after your first year without acquire a good amount of fat to go with it.

I enjoy my big ass waistline. I would say strength over abs, but I am not strong and I dont have a sixpack. So... I have to become stronger, I guess.

What about ab work for firefighters? It's great to have a strong core, but the heavier you are; the more you become a liability.
