I really like how you talk all different opinion views and recommendations (needs dual shear knuckle, wheel well covers and upgraded exhaust. i also was happy when I seen you were willing to open and look at the hood, filter box, battery box etc. your opinions are from pros not homeowners... which means so much. I get tired of videos talking about cool headlights and lots of storage and all the accessories the dealer throws in to make the sale lol.

I bought mine last week and took it out for the first time. we drove 50 miles in some old coal mine and logging roads in West Virginia. This thing soaked up every bump and handled everything you threw at it. I absolutely love it. It hauls the mail.
I've worked at Honda Manufacturing in Marysville Ohio and to answer your question about the checking of bolts. Every single bolt is checked for torque. The attention to detail at Honda unlike any other factory I've seen
@@BarnStangz yes it is. I was building Accords but I'm sure they use the production processes. They're factories are like cities, well oiled machines. We pumped out 1000 cars a day between 2 lines

I love love love Honda I grew riding a Honda three wheeler my dad bought the year I was born in 1985 and I'm 34 years old and that three wheeler is still going strong and has never been rebuilt!!!just good maintsince!!!and I can't imagine the amount of miles on it ,it wasnt purchased and sat in a barn it has been ridin and ridin for it's whole life!!!I've also had Honda rancher and dirt bikes and they all have been super reliable and well built machines!!!they r worth every penny !
I've had many Hondas and never had any real problems that weren't maintenance related. I've got a 18 year old Rancher ES that has floated in ponds and the ES has never failed. It also always starts. Can't wait to see y'all abuse the TALON and see how durable it is.
RIDE COMMAND 18 the problem with hondas in the past is that they’ve been like our ranchers (I’ve got a 2000 no es that I still use for deer hunting ) in that their very lacking in power and suspension, or that they’ve got sick power and suspension like the old (86/87) 250r’s but no ability to work. Hopefully the talon can do it all.

I had thought about looking at one, but I just got a killer deal on a brand spanking new 2018 Xp1000 with Ride Command that I couldn't pass up. Can't wait to see you guys test it out! When you do get one, take it to Tennessee and ride Windrock or Brimstone. I want to see a Talon on real trails. Be glad to show you around Windrock!

I cant wait for the second generation once the public thrashes the first gen and Honda makes whatever adjustments might be needed. Current Turbo S, and looking to trade in 2021.

The best thing about Honda is the transmission. It's not just a paddle shift but also fully automatic. It has the push the gas and go like Polaris and Can Am without a belt. Or you can manually shift it like Yamaha.
@@mckrackin5324 I am a HUGE Honda fan and will be the first to trust them. However, they are not immune to sh1tty transmissions. The Pioneer DCT's had some growing pains. The '99-'05 era 4- and 5-speeds in their Accords/Odysseys pretty much sucked, too.
@@turbo-brian I agree that they've had growing pains but they've been on point for more than 10 years. The Talon engine and transmission are already in production in the Pioneer. Just slight tweaks have been made.

Look like it would be more comfortable for us bigger drivers than most machines. I am curious how tippy it would be on an off camber trail back on the mountain. I love the design for users that don't plan to use it as a submarine most of its life. Easy to clean, plenty of room .
Good job guys. It would be hilarious to have that Honda next to a new RZR and compare the quality of materials, components, fit & finish, etc. As many followers as you guys have, it might put a major dent in future Polaris sales . . . . .

I love all the new stuff but kinda wish you'd go back to your roots and go no holds barred stupid builds on some oldschool machines and just do low buck crazy stuff to them like some of us less fortunate viewers still do!!!
not sure about the rear lower ball joint on the trailing arm and nothing is double sheared.... interested to find out how well that holds up under miles of hard riding.

I think the R version is making 110 hp or something, same area as a rzr 1k. I'm sure when they make a turbo it'll be sweet.
