    01:10 - 𝗤:01 - Cart speeds up and down issue - I feel I need MCOR. For Yamaha battery operated golf cart 2011. Speeds up, and down, stops, and won't go uphill.
    02:16 - 𝗤:02 - Cart charging issue - I have an older analog charger 48v club car. When I plug it in, I hear a click but the hand on the gauge doesn’t move. Is it still charging? I have new batteries with about 8 hours of run time.
    04:02 - 𝗤:03 - Carts not going forward issue - I have a 2013 Club Car. Occasionally, forward does not work. The reverse always works. I had to drive it about 1/2 mile in reverse as it would not go forward. The next day while switching between forwarding/neutral/reverse it started working. Does this sound like the switch and if so, do you carry it and what is the price?
    05:47 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
    10:55 - 𝗤:04 - Cart brakes squeak issue - I have a 2004 Club Car DS. My brakes started to squeak. How do I know which to get?
    11:54 - 𝗤:05 - Cart fuse holder issue - How can I open the 48-volt fuse holder to replace fuse on the 2002 Club Car DS?
    12:53 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
    08:20 - 𝗤:06 - Cart batteries cables issue - I need to replace the cable from the f&r switch to the motor on a 2000 club car ds. what do I need to disconnect on the batteries so I don't short anything.
    13:33 - 𝗤:07 - Cart going uphill issue - Hi Tim! I have a 2017 golf cart hard time going up hills put meter on the batteries and push the pedal goes from 48 volts to 42 volts. Any help would be appreciated.
    11:37 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
    15:17 - 𝗤:08 - Cart won't move issue - 1996 DS. The batteries are fully charged, but the wheels barely move when pressing the accelerator.
    17:15 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
    20:53 - 𝗤:09 - Cart lack of power issue - 2018 club car precedent, intermittent acceleration trouble that causes lack of power at full throttle. Holding the pedal at about 85% with this issue happening it drives. I've replaced the MCOR with a club car replacement part. Also replaced the speed sensor and this intermittent issue continues. I have 8v on each battery. Thank you.
    23:03 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
    23:46 - 𝗤:10 - Cart Voltage Reducer issue - How can I raise the 12v Golf Cart Voltage Reducer - 16-18V to 12 Volt / 15 Amp to 13.8v. I’ve heard that most "12v" stuff runs best at 13.8 volts.

    My 1998 club car 48 volt shuts the charger off after charging for about 5 minutes. I cleaned all the terminals very well and it still does it. The Batteries all hold a good charge.

      Thanks for watching, Jack! The charger on those carts is controlled by an OBC on the cart. When that isn't functioning right, it causes charging issues like you've mentioned. Easy fix is here: www.golfcartgarage.com/golf-cart-battery-charger-36-48-volt-on-board-lester-electrical-summit-2/ there's a video on that page to explain. My EZ Go 36 volt cart stutters and looses power under stress ( up a small hill) . It will actually come to a stop . Could I have a bad battery ?

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  20 днів тому

      Thanks for watching! Especially if this power issue is a new development, a bad battery could be the cause. One way to tell would be a load test on those batteries. You can also voltmeter test before driving and then again when the failure occurs to see if one battery drops out more than the others. It may also be the age of the batteries in general or that the power of the cart in general is low for the weight and application if this has been an ongoing issue. Have a 48V club car , 4 12v batteries. What would cause the first & 4th battery to discharge more than the other two. Would not change 1&4 only had 2 or less volts. 2 & 3 had 9volts.

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  Рік тому

      Thanks for watching, Raymond! After a charge, if you have 12V batteries testing below 12V... they may be out of service or there may be a charger issue. They should never test as low as you're experiencing unless they've sat uncharged for a long period. I have a 2014 club car president when I step on the throttle it takes off like it has a lot of power then it get sluggish slows down. Checked batteries good. Checked voltage drop and it’s 47 volts on a 48 volt system. Batteries r 7.8 on each one. Question could my problem be the controller and the motor? I’m going to switch batteries to check if it’s the batteries

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  Рік тому

      If you have batteries reading under 8v at rest, those are very dead. Full charge should be a total around 51 or 52V with almost 9v per single battery. It may help to try someone else's charger or ensure that yours is finishing its cycle. Let us know if you have more questions Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching, Elizabeth. Fully charged 6 volt batteries should register resting at 7 volts or more. The one that has reached 4 volts will likely need to be replaced. The ones registering 6.1 are definitely low. You may want to have them load tested. Let us know if you have more questions or need help! Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934

    • @GolfCartGarage

      Thanks for watching! If the batteries are all load testing good... It sounds like an issue with thermal shutdown or with proper signal reaching the controller. 13:38 So for question #7, if you find that just one battery is dropping significantly under load, could you just replace the one battery? Or is there an alternative to get that one battery back to health?

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  Рік тому +2

      If a battery is dropping out under load, it is likely that it will need to be replaced. You may find a local battery shop that can look at reconditioning batteries. We have to recommend a professional if you go that route, although there are some videos out there to show that process. Replacing that battery is probably the best route to go for most people.

      Yes, it's ok to replace one battery. It's ideal to replace them all at once, but it's not going to hurt anything to replace just one. Bloke all test 6.3 volts ⚡️ but charge don't last long and lacks power

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching! 6.3 is lower than we'd hope to see if that's a surface reading. Testing at rest can show what we call "phantom voltage" and may show a battery with one bad cell to be charged. We recommend a load test on those batteries, there's probably a hidden bad cell if the charge doesn't last long and you're lacking power. Get in touch if you have more questions or need help! • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching! The symptom you describe sounds like a bad "OBC" (onboard computer) on the golf cart. When they fail, the charger doesn't get proper commands. An easy test for this is to try another charger to see if it behaves properly. A charger that connects to batteries directly can bypass this. We have a video on that issue here: ua-cam.com/video/Tb6jfd3x610/v-deo.html

      I have tried another charger like for like and it does the same thing just starts a full charge. I have remove the batteries and charged them one by one they seem to be only holding 7.8 or 7.9 only one holds 8 volts and all the batteries are swollen at both ends which makes me think they are cooked. The power indicator reads full red bars but over night it drops a bar and when driving it would go fast then drops off then fast again and if I come to a hill it just slows to a stop and starts to jump forward then tries to drive again and jumps and so on. I think that’s to do with the brain picking up the voltage drop and then the voltage building up again but could be wrong.

    • @GolfCartGarage
      @GolfCartGarage  Рік тому +2

      Good call, Rab.. those are cooked, for sure. If they bulge and won't hold 8 volts, they're ready to be replaced. We have a set here: www.golfcartgarage.com/8-volt-golf-cart-batteries-crown-battery-cr-150-8v-150ah-6-pack-48v/
