Signals not working
Thanks for watching! If your signals stopped working, but everything else is ok, there may be a fault in the stalk on the steering column or in a relay in the wiring from that stalk, depending on the kit. It may be worth contacting the manufacturer of that light kit. Let us know if we can help more. Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
Can you explain the lights on the Eric charger?
Thanks for watching, Larry! Page 36 of this pdf explains the lights on the ERIC charger: cdn.acenda.com/swift/v1/cartmart/images/bucket/files/Club-Car-Precedent-Owner's-Manual.pdf
For the alarm to be extra annoying (and to sound like a school bus backing up) just add a turn signal flasher! 😂😂😂 I actually might do this. I might find a different sound maker or just put a yellow light on the back that will flash. Haven’t decided yet.
Couldn't find bagpipes or an accordion? LOL, Jerry, you're our kind of people. Cheers!
Dave: Just got back to Florida and my golf cart is sputtering then yellow battery light starts flashing. Checked with load meter on all my 8 vdc batteries and found one battery to be 6 vdc. Checked with hydrometer and found one cell on that battery to be bad. Is there any way to recover that one cell? Batteries are only 2 years old. Thanks
Thanks for watching, John! While there are some videos on DIY battery refurbishing out there... we can't recommend that for liability and hazmat reasons. We can only advise professional reconditioning or a battery replacement in that circumstance. Let us know if you have more questions or need help. Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
Can I replace 1 battery and keep 3 others on my 48v ergo rxv? Thanks
Thanks for watching, George! Yes, you can replace a single battery if it's defective. Replacing all at once is ideal. But, as long as there are 48V worth of working batteries, the cart will drive. Keep a close eye on the others, though. If one has gone out, the others may soon, as well. Let us know if you need more help! Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
I wanna know what lithium ion battery to buy for a 48 volt star golf cart ?and can i use my standard battery charger on lithium batteries? It has 8_ 6 volts lead acid on it now ....changeing to lithium will my charger work on the lithium also? They are gonna be 12 volt in series i think
Thanks for watching, Tommy! Most lead-acid chargers do not have a lithium charging profile and lithium battery manufacturers usually require a specific charger to keep warranty in force. Our team can send or discuss some options for both if you get in touch! Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
Hello, I have a 1996 Ez-Go Txt cart, a have a few questions. First off my carts batteries deplete fast, I can take it around the block twice and batteries deplete. Brand new batteries voltage is good, 2nd the battery charger that I have gotten from Cetithio has gone out twice. Do you have a suggestion on a charger? 3rd my golf cart is only going 14 mph then it drops to a crawl, what can be going on? Thank you!
Thanks for watching! It sounds as though the charger you're using may not be completing its cycle to get a full charge into the batteries. Your 36V EZGO should be at about 40 volts or so when fully charged and it's that voltage above 36 that you actually drive on. Here's the charger we recommend to improve your performance: www.golfcartgarage.com/ezgo-txt-golf-cart-battery-charger-36-48-volt-lester-summit-ii/ Please let us know if you need more help! I just got a job maintaining custodial equipment and it was a nightmare finding resources on custodial equipment batteries but you can just change it to golf cart batteries and there’s a ton of resources.
Congrats on the new gig! That's true. A lot of custodial and industrial equipment like floor scrubbers and lifts use deep cycle batteries just like golf carts. Let us know if we can ever help out. Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
I have a 2003 gas club car It runs great going forward but doesn't run in reverse The micro switches seem fine Could it be in the rear end

I have a 2011 Yamaha gas cart. When I start out, especially on an up-slope, the drive belt whines. It could be the original belt and looks good. How can I tell when it is time to replace it?
Thanks for watching, Ken! While there are measurements that can be taken, wear is tough to see with the naked eye on these belts. The best sign replacement is needed is the whine you hear. 2007 club car carryall surging how can i fix this
Thanks for watching, Wesley! "Surging" is most often caused by a battery with a bad cell. We recommend load testing the batteries if that cart is electric. It can also be caused by potentiometer issues. You can get an appt for a video call diagnosis here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/ or get in touch directly at Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
Watched your video and enjoyed the content. I have been tinkering with carts for a couple of years and enjoy the challenge. May be I'll have a question for you in the future.
Thanks for joining in, Craig!
Have a 2013 RXV EzGo in the rear end sounds like there is a brake pad rubbing on a rotor. When you make a right turn the sound goes away for a little bit then comes back.Any ideas what it could be or a fix? It is slight but noticing it more and more.
Thanks for watching, Jeff! This could be a mechanical issue with brakes, bearings, etc or possibly an issue with the motor brake. You can get an appt for a video call diagnosis here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/ or get in touch directly at Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934

Club car 48v ds, replace f/r switch, charge plug, solenoid, would not charge, did bypass on computer, now charges, now cart will not move does click, where could my problem be all batteries 8.2 volt to 8.5volt have not been able to test under load, cart is lifted.
Thanks for watching! It would be good to get a load test on those batteries. There's a video on load testing without a machine here: ua-cam.com/video/NsUkLCTWSnQ/v-deo.html&pp=ygUeZ29sZiBjYXJ0IGdhcmFnZSBwb3dlciB0ZXN0aW5n You can get an appt for a video call diagnosis here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/ or get in touch directly at Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934

I have a 2011 Yamaha gas cart and it rides like it has no suspension. I keep the tires at 15# for tire wear and the new shocks for it are horribley expensive. (very specialized) Is it possible my shocks have stiffened up or will the new shocks give me the same ride and I'd be wasting my money?
Thanks for watching, Ken! Yamaha ride can sometimes be tricky since they don't have leaf springs like the domestic carts do. We'll have some follow up questions on the cart and shocks. Hello from TC from Johnson city Tennessee 78 ° here and sunny
Thanks for joining in!
Club cart runs fine then hit a bump and stops but just hit the pedal and start again . Replaced the mcor and did not help . Do you have any idea .
Thanks for watching! This symptom can be caused by a loose battery hold down or loose wiring somewhere. It can also be a switch connection being jarred. Sunday morning 930 not sure of the date is it wisely to turn your toe Ron switch off while you charging club car president 48 V
Thanks for watching! The Run/Tow switch should be switched to "TOW" when towing the vehicle or installing electrical components. There is no reason to switch it when charging the vehicle other than to stop it from moving while charging. If your charger has a lockout feature, that will not matter. Let us know if you have further questions. Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934

Can't get my cart to work in reverse
Thanks for watching, Earl! There may be a failure to the F/R switch. You can get a video call diagnosis appt here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/ or get in touch directly at Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
I’ve got a Badboy buggie and the charger wire at the 120volt source gets hot and has burned the connector to the golf cart charger itself. We have two chargers that are both getting to hot. Any help would be also thanks..
Thanks for watching! If multiple chargers are having the same issue, there is likely a problem with the cart receptacle or possibly a bad cell in one or more batteries causing the charger(s) to fail cycle completion. You can get a video call diagnosis here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/ or get in touch directly at Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
Hi Tim. I'm new to the recreational golf cart world. I purchased a 2010 Yamaha G29 48 volt golf cart. My cart dies after some use and I don't know why. This doesn't happen all the time but after running it, it just stops with really no warning. It slows down and then dies. The batteries and cables all seem good. What I know about the cart mechanics you can put on the end of a pin.
Thanks for watching, Michael! The first thing we would do is load test the batteries. If even one cell in one battery is going out it can stop the cart... very common issue. We have a video on that here: ua-cam.com/video/NsUkLCTWSnQ/v-deo.html&pp=ygUeZ29sZiBjYXJ0IGdhcmFnZSBwb3dlciB0ZXN0aW5n Let us know if you need more help. Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934

I have a question hope somone can help me with I have just got a 93 parcar and when I turn the key on and hit the gas it goes and does not stop even if break is applied. Somone told me speed control. Just wondering if anyone knows anything or heard anything about somthing like this
Thanks for watching, Brandon! Our techs will have some follow up questions on that. We recommend an appt for a video call diagnosis here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/ You can also ask the community in chat on our LIVE show every Tuesday at 1pm EST at UA-cam.com/GolfCartGarage or the forum at BuggiesGoneWild.com
What makes charger handle get hot on 36 volt while charging?
Thanks for watching! We'll have some follow up questions about the charger and cart model to start. You can get an appointment for a video call diagnosis here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/ or get in touch directly at Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
Thanks Tim you’re awesome!🎉
Right back at you!
My smell like rotten eggs
Thanks for watching, Timothy! Off-gassing while charging can very commonly generate that bubbling and sulfur smell. While there's no harm in that if everything is charging correctly, it's a good idea to make sure you have as much ventilation in your charging space as possible to dissipate that odor and protect from a potential fire hazard.
I have a 20001 yamaha golf cart.its got 3 12 v batteries deep cycle marine which comes out to 36 v.yhe motor says 48 v .do i need to add another battery. It been stalling not going.what would you do
Thanks for watching! You're right. 36V is not enough to run a 48V motor. One more 12V battery would be needed in this case.
2013 yamaha electric cart. Surges, jerky forward motion when I first press acceler then totally dies. Replaced Mcore and still same issue. Help please.
Thanks for watching, Michelle! "Surging" and "Jerking" prior to the cart going dead is almost always a sign of a bad battery. Even just 1 defective cell in one battery can stop the cart and also stop the charger from failing to finish its cycles. We recommend a load test on those batteries to see if one or more may need to be replaced.
I have a 2016 yamaha g29 with brand new trojan batteries, when i plug in my charger it reads onu. what does that mean? I am reading 47.6 volts on the pack now. Dont know what kind of charger it is just says automatic on the front. Dont want to run my batteries down ant further. TIA. Max
ONU is a fault code we haven't seen. But, it may be specific to that charger. 47.6 is definitely low. There may be an issue with that charger finishing its cycle or there may be a battery with a cell out of service. You can get an appt for a video call diagnosis here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/ or get in touch directly at Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934

We'd love to say we've seen that blind spot, too... but, it's blind...
Hi, In my search for Help with my 2021 Onward Club car Gas I found your YT video. You have useful information to help Golf car owners. Here is my problem: It will not move forward or reverse. The battery is fully charged, checked all the fuses. What is your suggestion?
Thanks for watching! Sounds like there may be an issue with the forward/reverse switch. You can get an appointment for a video call diagnosis here: www.golfcartgarage.com/gearheads-on-demand/ or get in touch directly at Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
I got a 2002 Yamaha gas cart that set 5 years I swear the battery was still halfway up and I had almost given up on it because of the fuel pump I turn on the key and that thing started after 5 years I did nothing I did change the gas and oil and it's running like I was the day I bought it it sat 5 years man
That's awesome!
Can i hook up a 12 volt charger to my 8 volt batteries and charge them like that for a few minutes to get them going if they are dis charged? Or should I go ahead and charge 2 of them at a time? Would it hurt them to charge them for like 2 mins. with a 12 volt?
Thanks for watching, Rick! Charging like that for a very short period will not likely hurt anything. Safer to do 2 batteries at once, though. You're not trying to put a full charge in, just get some juice in there so your normal charger will recognize that it's plugged in. Let us know if you need more help! Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
@@GolfCartGarage Thank you!
Dave, I bought a 2004 club car carry all. I put Jake’s 3” lift and new rims and tires. I don’t remember how it handles before the lift but my kidneys fall out whenever I go over a bumpy road. Are there special leaf springs for lifted carts to give a smooth ride or am I just stuck with this? Thanks. Great videos.
Thanks for watching! It may help to lower the tire air pressure a bit and experiment to see how the ride softens. Those 3" lift kits can lead to a suspension feel change. If there are Carry All leaf springs that are parabolic or softer, they will likely only be available through Club Car directly. let us know if you need more help! Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
Can you use your lead battery charger
No, lithium batteries require a charger with a lithium charging profile. Some lithium packs come with a new charger included. Let us know if we can help! Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
@@GolfCartGarage oh thanks for the info
hello, i have a 97 exgo txt 36v with powerwise. charger stopped working and i replaced the 2 board setup with a new single board as i had a bad relay. now it charges once again but it will not shut off when gauge drops down. batteries started to get hot so i unplugged it. is there any other issues with the powerwise that this could be or could the new board be bad? thanks
Thanks for watching! We'd suspect that if the charger will not finish its cycle, there may be a battery with a bad cell there somewhere. It would be ideal to get a load test on those batteries to see if one drops out under load, which can stop a charge from completing. Get in touch if you need more help. Support@GolfCartGarage.com or (800) 401-2934
Thanks for the reply. I am going to load test the batteries. They are not quite 2-1/2yrs old and seem to normally hold a charge with no issues. It was only after I replaced the Board it will charge but no longer kick off. Could it be the pin switches are set too long of a setting for charge time? Or should it still kick off before if they are fully charged?
