What a great subject for a first video. And it's true, a lot of the best memories of a game are in the opening chapter. Before things get too hard and you jack it in and start again!
Great video, Evan. Very well done. It spoke to me as when I play games like Fallout or Skyrim, my first playthrough is really working out the ins and outs of the world and the gameplay. Then on subsequent playthroughs I can mix it up a bit, and always create a character with a very different build each time. I also create fictional backstories and/or personalities, which influences the skills I hone and the moral choices I make.
It’s so good to me how this channel manages it’s tone. It’s irreverent and crass and incredibly persuasive with some real ethos built in. The channel isn’t afraid to explore different games/sides of the gaming industry than we’ve already seen, and it’s not afraid to do things that would piss off people.
Man seeing the Luck Stat save file below the Eleven 17 save file on OoT just as you said “starting over isn’t necessarily as simple as hitting new game” got me.
This is absolutely brilliant man and I'm glad you talked about Fallout since that's my favourite gaming series. BUT YOU REEEALLY GOT ME when you said you'd played as Dexter Morgan. My one true fictional love 😁
i wish real life had a restart button lol, or even just things like perks or experience points, i'm obsessed with living life more like a video game, and yeah Fallout 4 was kinda bland for me, mainly just not being able to "live as the character" as it were, i want to make my own backstory, and it doesn't give that option
Funny how your generation shows in the games you choose as "starting over as core machinic". I would argue Civilization, Heroes Of Might and Magic all kind of "Sims" and "Tycoon" must be on that list.

Maybe I also drop down the difficulty towards the end of games like 75% of the time, always appreciate the support
Yes!
Always appreciate the enthusiasm, Scott

Thank you so much! Glad to hear I'm not the only one who does this!

If it makes you feel better, that was Dakota's idea
If it makes you both feel better, I totally forgot that I suggested it.
Wow! This is so good. I’m really excited for your new endeavor. Incredible start and very fitting video topic.
Thank you so much, Diego!

Starting a new game in fs22 is a bit like that coming from the mega farm you already built in 19.
I wish I was still a gamer, but I'm glad I still follow one the best boys talking about ‘em
So what is the luck stat? My guess is +5 to any d6 roll, but that seems a bit high
Usually a 9, so I can clean out the Atomic Wrangler in the early game
