I have seen this in grocery stores, didn't know how to cook it. Saw your video on how to make. I,and the kids loved your recipe. Thank you so much
John Ulica thank you for watching! Come back soon for a new video
She is so awesome.
Can put it in soup as well
I think she might've said cooking wine?
Simple and to the point.. no time waited!! 谢谢!
Cooking with a touch of madness. As John Torode would say: "I lllllllluv et!".
I made these for my mom today, she said it was the best bok choy she's ever had in her entire life. Thank you for the recipe!
Did she say cooking wine or cooking water?
I’m doing that today 😄
@@LizzyDidntDoIt I didn't recognize the bottle, but it was likely shaoxing wine. I buy it in the pretty ceramic crock that looks nice on the shelf after the wine is gone. Several of the bottled varieties are really nice too. Pick one you like - they're not terribly expensive, so you can try them and decide.
I think she’s using Ju Long Yellow Cooking Wine.
Fantastic!! Serving it up with Miso Steelhead trout w/ a Gochujang sauce, ginger rice and some Korean kimchi cucumbers! Asian fusion!!
just cooked these as you teach. came out very delicious. I didn't have cooking wine and used soy sauce + oyster sauce+ drop of sesame oil
@Nicole Ro
Chinese cooking wine is easily obtained and is what gives authentic Chinese food that "Chinese food" taste. Granted, a lot of American Chinese restaurants have started leaving the Xiao Xing wine out because they know Americans don't know the difference, so it saves them money. But using Xiao Xing wine makes all the difference!
@lisahinton9682 Thank you! I could not make out what type of cooking wine she was using and your comment really helped.

Love the sound of chopping ginger.
Whew! I sure like Bok Choy. It didn't exist for us when I was a kid. I only just started trying to actually cook it myself (and I don't really know how to cook, but I DO cook spinach and other greens, it all ends up being pretty easy) and it is a regular item in the local grocery. Also, first time buying oyster sauce. Surprised how big the ginger slices are. Thanks! Yeah!
Love love garlic ginger bok choy

I m so happy and so is my tummy ...never cooked it before, was to scared to. Now, well...no limits now. Thankyou and to your curcus

Yup. I'm about to cook this RIGHT NOW
Yups so yummy 😋
Thank you so much.
My next project thanks for your video!!
This was delicious
I have to say that i was pleasantly surprised. I'm an ABC and was never taught to cook so I'm self taught. I typically stir fry the bok choy with oil but i tried it her way and it came out really crunchy. The ginger and rice wine is a nice touchand gives it just a little bit more taste. One recommendation is to add measurements in the comment section.
Yum 😋 I never thought about cooking with big slices of ginger like that for flavor. Thanks for teaching me something new!
