    This video is almost 12 years old and still, to this day, the absolute best bok choy recipe I’ve found on UA-cam. It is so delicious that every time I make it, the family is at the table waiting. I love cooking, and this video makes presenting baby bok choy, very easy. My wife and all five of our kids just love this recipe. It’s rare that they all agree on the same dish, but this one is a hands down first place winner!

    b.t.w leaving sugar, and adding spring onions and sesame oil makes it even better.

    I tried this recipe tonight and I paired it with rice and tilapia. It was really good! I substitute cornstarch with flour and added more water to balance out the saltiness of the soy sauce. This is a must try! It was my first time to eat bok choy, thank you for the reminder about cleaning it thoroughly,because it really has sand in it. Anyway this is really a good recipe. Thank you for sharing! :)

    Looks much easier than other types on UA-cam. I like the sauce and bok choy is so good. Start making it this way - simple! Can't have gluten so cornstarch is a win-win.

    Made this for lunch today. Absolutely delicious and super easy to prepare. This will be one of my favorites and go-to dishes. I added a few cooked shrimp to the platter before pouring the sauce over. Fantastic.
    Would this work with steamed Kale as a substitute?

    • @juswantowardojo8002
      @juswantowardojo8002 10 років тому +7

      Sorry for the late reply. I think it will work fine with kale... but you will need to steam quite a bit longer, as kale are much sturdier/firmer than bokchoy.

    Looks wonderful. I am curious what you think the difference would be if you slightly fried the bok choy with the sauce at the end instead of pouring it over. To avoid overcooking maybe just not steam as much. Would that make it more flavorful?

    It was so good and we enjoyed it so much, we bought more bok choy for dinner last night and I tried my hand at cooking it. My sauce didn't turn out as well as my wife's as my garlic browned much faster than I had expected and i didn't have all my liquids in place ready to add, BUT I was able to salvage the sauce. We are preparing it again this weekend and look forward to trying many more of your recipes!!!
