• FF7 - EASILY GET OVER ...
This is my opinion of the rarest, elusive, most hard to get weapons in FF7. Let me know what your rarest weapons are.
Final Fantasy VII is made by Square Enix.
#FF7 #FinalFantasyVII - Ігри
Sorry for the end part of the video at honorable mentions get cut off. You can thank a UA-cam copyright claim for that.
A very useful video dude I did ff8 on my channel finding useful things great stuff
Yes it's real I've gotten it
What got cut off
I was able to get the yoshiyuki right after materia keeper
22 years later: still providing content. Modern games should be ashamed.
It truly is one of the greatest games ever created. I think i was around 9 or 10 years old when I played FF7, and then FF8, and I was blown away by them. The graphics, especially cut scenes, we're so amazing.
@@deliriouspuppet ff7 was the first time anyone had seen anything like that in the world of gaming.
@@thebanfflocal2366 yeah I remember how superior they were compared to others
yeah, because 22 years haven't passed since modern games came out
*skyrim has entered the chat*
Behemoth Horn?! Wow. And I thought I knew everything about this game.
I'll say, urvisionisaugmented. I actually got Umbrella and that second weapon shown in the video on my first few playthroughs of FFVII. I didn't think anything of it when I got them because I didn't know what to do with them at the time. I also had no idea that they were presumably so difficult to get too. I was just bored in-game and decided to go get good with the FPS-on-rails mini-game.
@@adamgray1753 it's only difficult on console.
so if remember correctly the reason you can only see the horn on the way down is due to a programming error
@@adamgray1753 > FPS on rails
You uh, mean the shooting gallery? Never heard it described like that
'rail shooter' might have also worked I guess
Yea, I got all this shit in my first playthrough the year the game released lol.
This is crazy, man. I've been an obsessed fan of this game for so long, combing through everything on line, all the Wikias and the FF7Citadel, all that, and this is the first I've ever heard of the Behemoth Horn. Wow.
I just restarted FF7 and it's been over a decade since my last playthrough, I'm love this game so damn much!!!!
0:50 apocalypse cloud, spring gun clip red xiii, supershot ST vincent

9:09 behemoth horn red xiii
I have played this game.. countless times. I accidentally discovered the umbrella and flayer on playthroughs before and had a friend tell me many, many years ago about the rising sun. But never, ever, have I heard about or seen the behemoth horn. It's amazing that 20+yrs later this game still has something to show me. This is also the first comment I've ever left on a video because I'm legitimately blown away. Thank you for sharing this.
I wonder how many more items that weren't in the guide might be undiscovered. I remember discovering how to get an item that wasn't in the guide and it was in the inn room where Cloud tells everyone the story of Sephroth. If you tried getring it, Cloud would just say 'It's too high I can't reach it' and that'd be the end of it. But if you tried a bunch of times in a row you would get a very funny easter egg scene in which Cloud would get pissed and say '£%#/@@ it!' And kick the shelf and the item would fall om his head with the caption 'Uhhh ... recieved megalixir' lol it was little scenes like that, that made FF7 the greatest game in my childhood, bar none.
The Curse Ring isn't in the guide either
@@laneface I had two guides a white one and black don't remember which but one of them had curse ring in it.
Raf's Gear Reviews cloud said 'fuck' D: (hahahahahahaha)
@Reborn In Rationality Sure about that? Be positive.
Its "dropped... Megalixer"
I too thought it was weird Barrett had to be in the party but your idea with Vincent is brilliant.
Been playing this game since it came out when I was 17. Never heard of the behemoth horn. Now I have to go get it
djmankiewicz1000 I was 7 but still I had the game on release, my mother must have hated me as I never stopped yapping about it, now that I can play it on my Xbox, yeah I’ll be looking for this thing.
I bought the ps1 just for this game. Did not know about some of the weapons. I knew about the umbrella but could never get the points required for it. I play this game on the ps4 or iPad now, so it’s easy to get the points needed.
The only one I didn't knew its existence was for RedXIII "Behemoth Horn" :O . I'll have to play the game all over again :D
me too
wow, i never knew that about the behemoth horn, that is insane. great video! it's not often i see FF7 videos showing me things i didn't already know
Me: What a strange video to make 20 years after a game's released. I've played FF7 a dozen times - I know all of the ins-and-outs.
Also Me: OMG I didn't know about this!
Idiot
@@crushedribs5254 no, you
but the remake will features them as well so its better that you do know about them now
aren't we all waiting for the remake tho'?
@@cherrydragon3120 doubt it
Striking Staff belongs in the honorable mentions. Stolen from a rare encounter in the train graveyard right after leaving Wall Market through Don Corneo's sewer passage. It's a great early game staff with a sick graphic.
You can buy it later. Not rare at all.
The one of many Disc One Nukes.
I have to say I've played this game for years and half of these weapons I didn't know about, I had studied that strategy guide inside and out too. Definitely worth a sub and a like man keep up the quality work.
Behemoth Horn? :o Whoa man, I never even heard of that and I'm about to return to Midgar! Thank you for the info, I subbed :)
subbed ! incredible even in 2018 i'm still learning things about this game i played when i was around 10 years old! :D
Hoowww? Nothing here is obscure.
Only knew about the Behemoth Horn because I wanted to see what would happen if I took the stairs when I came back there. Funny though, I don't remember it being found when you only go down though.
Also, completely agree w/you on Barret's Missing Score comment. Should've easily been Vincent's weapon instead.
Great video it's always nice to see people still talking about this amazing game. I'm going to have to reload my saves to see if I ever got the Behemoth horn!
I remembered seeing all of these in my inventory when I GameSharked a run-through, but I had no idea how to get them. Awesome finds, man.
Subbed. Great content. Never knew about #1 and #2. Didn't know about Shotgun either. Gonna watch your videos instead of sleeping.
It's rare for me to learn anything new about this amazing game, but this vid pulled it off! Thanks for the awesome content, and informing me about the Behemoth Horn.
Suprisenly good list, thought this was just gonna a list of the ultimate weapons. The theory on the missing score was a mindblow as well
A note about the Behemoth Horn: My understanding is that getting the Behemoth Horn doesn't rely on which direction you go- rather, you can only get the Behemoth Horn if you picked up the Elixir that was in the same spot on your first time through the Shinra building. So in Disc 1, when you first reach the Shinra building, you have to go up the stairs, and find the Elixir that's about halfway up. Then, aaaaaalllll the way at the end of Disc 2, you go up (or down) the stairs again and the Behemoth Horn will be there. That's how I've gotten it on all of my playthroughs.
Inter-Party Conflict the horn is not picked up at the same spot as the elixer, maybe 4 flights down from the top, but not the exact location, I just loaded up a couole saves and checked it out.
No you don't. I never take the stairs until Disc 2 JUST to get the Horn.
I just got it on the way UP the stairs. I did also get the elixir in disc 1.
I believe if you take the stairs the first time, it skips flights on the way up the second time, so you gotta go back down which doesn't skip flights.
It may even depend on how you agreed to enter when you were given the choice at the beginning of the first raid.
You don't need to get the elixir. I always take the elevator up to the 59th floor then run down during the raid. You'll pick up both the elixir and b. horn. You don't have to run up the stairs, just down. You can do that on the original ps1 version. Idk about the digital copies of it
wow awesome channel yo! Dang i never knew about the behemoth horn at all lol. I never knew that weapon existed until this video. makes me want to play again and get everything again.
Holy shit, all years I had no idea there were weapons not listed in the guides!
You have no idea how maddening it was thinking I got everything in the game and then realizing I was missing a ton of stuff.
Red I I hear ya man. I had gotten a guide book back then published by VERSUS BOOKS called FF ultimate guide ( the only reason I got everything back then) the official guide was horrible!
insane right? When i played i thought i was the master back then with maxed everything, and i thought i got everything there was in the game lol.
Yes the guide sucked. One enemy had Midgar listed in it's HP spot.
@@laneface Yeaaa, I dont get it. I got all these items when I was 9 the year it came out.
That Behemoth Horn thing really messed me up in the head! xD
This is a very helpful and well made video! I've just subscribed. Looking forward to more videos after FF7 remastered has been released
In my recommendations, was not disappointed, great work!

I always put Barrett and Vincent in my team to fight Hojo anyway, because of Vincent's history with Hojo, as well as Barrett's satisfaction seeing the very last of Shinra destroyed, with him involved. It just always seemed right. But otherwise, I think they never should have made the chest with Missing Score appear only if Barrett is in the team. It makes no sense, did someone with binoculars watch Cloud approach with Barrett in his team and say 'hey, I better put this here because Barrett's coming'? Just put it there regardless of who's in the team. Most other characters can have their Ultimate Weapon picked up without it's owner being present, so it makes no sense here.
Yeah it was a dick move that the programmers did that
Imagine playing it the first time and never had Barret in your party your basically missed his ultimate weapon
I was extremely lucky the first time playing ff7 back in 99 because I switched out Cid for Barret and got his ultimate weapon and I had no idea
I put red 13 and Vincent in my squad but I did think about bringing barret. I decided against barret cause he helped cloud kill proud clod.
You've earner yourself a sub! Great vid and content my man love that I'm still learning new things about this game years later! Never knew the Behemoth Horn existed!
Like your video a lot! Great content about a super old game. If you do more Top lists, with honorable mentions, some voice over about why you thought they were worth mentioning, and why they didn't quite make the list would be awesome!
Man i found you this morning and i must say your videos are quite well done. You've earned a sub
That beat is cold!!! Great video fam
Thanks for this video. I didn't even know half of these weapons existed.
water creeper me too
same here. got some of them probably because those were encountered along doing storyline.
subscribed!!! keep making more final fantasy videos. Good luck to ya
nice video, I found the horn in ps1 but damn I didn't think most of these weapons were that rare. you have one sub bro.
There were a couple of these that I didn't know about. Thanks!
Sort of new about the weapons but its good to be reminded. Personally, I really appreciated Laneface's Gold Chocobo video, it helped a lot.
The last one I had no idea about. One of the reasons I love this game. Always learning something new
nice man im actualy getting back into the game after beating it so many times not knowing about any of this stuff subbed and liked!
Seriously i had no idea theres such thing as Behemoth horn... i had played this game many times on several platforms since 1998....
Thanks dude!
Bro this is some great content. Brings back soo many memories of my youth spending countless hours on PS1. I actually just downloaded FF7 remake for PS4 today for free
I almost always had barret in my party so I didn't know missing score was so hard to get xD
Barret has really hard hitting limit breaks, which is why i kept him around.
Subbed friendo! 3 or 4 of these I've never heard of, but I'll keep a lookout when I complete the game for the 33rd time this year XD great video!
omg I didn't know about some of these things, thanks for the video! impressive.
Just watched this video. And I love FF7. I appreciate your content, sir.
This is the first clickbaitish headline in years I have clicked on that has paid off. Bravo.
How is it clickbaity?...
I had a few of these but not all. Think i might go back and playthrough again. Thanks. Subbed.
The Versus Strategy Guide by Casey Loe lists both the Flayer and Behemoth Horn, I highly recommend it, there are many advanced strats and secrets in a spoiler free format. The guide is so good, it deserves its own tribute video
I thought this guide was much better than the official one.
An actually legit video. I thought I knew all there was to know. Subbed.
I hate secret things, or anything for that matter, that you only get one chance to get or else it's gone forever.
Very nice work man, keep it up.
The Rising Sun is discussed once in the official strategy guide by BradyGames. Very briefly during the strategy section for the Diamond Weapon fight, it is offhandedly mentioned that if you can steal the weapon from him.
If I recall it is not however listed in the master list of items in the back of the book.
Lord Knightcon I picture the comic book guy from The Simpsons saying this.
That is correct, in fact I felt the Brady games guide was the best one. I can’t seem to find it anymore though
that guide was pretty thorough iirc
@@Pwnicus187 It was but it had a couple of notable things that were left out. Two big ones were the Ribbon in the great glacier caves that wasn't on the map included of the area, and the Added Cut materia from the zone immediately after the snowboarding. Another one I recall the guide forgetting was the ability to get the Cursed Ring from the first time you visit Mideel from the shopkeeper while in control of Tifa (It's only listed as a steal from Ultima Weapon)
@@OscarSumMusic I know it's a late response but that's the guide I have and when I initially got it I purchased it for about £14 or £15 but I had to eventually get a replacement because after getting it back from lending it to my cousins the pages were starting to fall out. I did Sellotape them somewhat so that they weren't loose but obviously the pages were no longer in their correct position. I did eventually get a replacement from Amazon but I had to pay a whopping £50 for it probably due to its apparent scarcity I'd imagine.
Good video, I knew all of them besides Behemoth Horn and the Gold Saucer weapons, but then again, I have easily sunk well over 1,000 hours into Final Fantasy VII, mostly by maxing out every character's stats by morphing Unknowns in the Gelinka and making sure everyone had a copy of all of the Master Materia.
Waow man, knew about all these... except for the Flayer, and Behemoth Horn- cheeky Square doin' something like THAT! Always thought Cid's Ultimate Weapon was the Venus Gospel. Amazing info man, you've defo earned a Sub for teaching me new tricks to one of my fave games ever. 😉
Cid's ultimate weapon is Venus Gospel. But his highest attack weapon is Flayer. Just like Aerith's ultimate weapon is Princess Guard but her highest attack weapon is Umbrella
@@laneface Ahh, gotchya now sir, thanks! Never realised the Flayer existed y'see, so no experience with it. Can't wait 'til my next Playthrough comes 'round! ✌🏻
Great video, hope you continue to grow. :)
Wow, I did play this game countless time, and I'm already expected some items on this list.
But some of them I don't even knew it exist. Thanks man
As time goes on I still find out some more hidden stuff that have never been seen or mentioned in this game/series.
Good job.
First I was gonna say "Why not just do a top most rarest final fantasy weapons instead" but that would be too easy these days to most FF fans.
Your editing is awesome and I have been enjoying your videos. Sorry about youtube being dumb. Ill sub :)
Congrats on 1k subs bud!
Lucahz Crazy! Can't believe it. All you guys rock
nothing unbelievable with good content. keep it up!
Subbed! UA-cam pay this man for this content
Great videos, man !
Weow some of it these I never knew about thanks man 👍
Omg during the honorable mentions I was once again no mention of behemoths horn, tho I always find going up, I found it YEARS ago but couldnt find anything anywheres bout it, seems odd point to get it too since by that point you have MANY better weap choices for red xiii. Anyways kudos! Your the first online ive seen mention it.
Subbed for the ff7 fan service and support. Great vid btw.
Thank you so much for this list!
Thank you Laneface, I subscribed.
I love FF7 and have watched almost every video. This video didn't teach me anything new, but I enjoyed the editing and narration. Liked and subscribed! Maybe replace background music with FF music?
I played the OG ffvii but I didnt know there were rare weapons like those especially the behemoth horn. Wow! Thank you.
Thanks for letting us know about those weapons that Squire soft didn’t tell us about
before the internet I would read the official and unofficial guides we had lying around,I think rising sun was mentioned in the unofficial one (it had a red cover - I still have it but forget the publisher), but wow I had no idea about some of these.
I've played this game loads of time and had no idea there was a shop in the Shinra building. My mind is actually blown.
Quality content 4 real. Like really appreciate the details and explanation of several things, recommended and you got way too less subs sir. Maybe problem is this amazing game is just a bit too old to be popular enough nowadays.
But...FF7 is awesome, puts so many games to shame for the last couple of years. The amount of love, replayability, content, Mini-Games and story telling is just badass. Characters, the whole artificial universe with materias and Mako and stuff... i'm so happy i got the original psx version years ago. Because of you and 4-8 i restarted ff7 on steam few days ago, this time i'll get the gold chocobo & KotR.
Great content, thank you for this work. Greetings from germany 👌
Though you can buy it later, I believe the first double growth weapon in the game is available on Mt. Nibel, a Rune Blade for Cloud.
I remember being particularly proud of my discovery of it as a babby since it wasn't in the official strategy guide or GameFAQs.
Actually the first double growth weapon in the game is the Peacemaker gun for Vincent you find in Kalm just after you leave midgar. Though he does not join your party until you choose to pick him up in the Shinra Mansion.
The first USABLE instance of a double growth weapon is the Magic comb for Red XIII which you get from winning the very first available fort condor minigame battle.
The first double growth weapon for Cloud can be acquired during Rufus' sendoff demonstration by scoring enough points of approval.
All three of these options are earlier than the Runeblade on Mt. Nibel, however kudo's for finding it without a guide. The two items on that screen are a pain to grab!
I'll help you get there, buddy. Your content is quality and you deserve monetization. Sub added! Keep up the good work.
I remember going out of the way for Yuffie's weapon off diamond weapon. Such nostalgia
you earned my sub bro. keep gaming u all!
UA-cam has been disgusting me with the way they've been treating their content creators. I subbed
But now you're at 5.5k! Very cool, man. I was curious about this topic for sure since I grew up with this game and there were rumors about weapons as unused content, but now that I'm an adult with this game on my PS4... hee hee hee, ho ho ho, HA HA HA HAAAAAA!!!
(liked and subbed)
Well thanks for this video, I would prob never find some of these myself. And hey on the bright side as well, you are past 1000 subs
Thanks for telling me the Yoshiyuki blade!
5:47 It was still Square Soft back then ;)
Now let's talk about the rarest armor ;) and Accessories :P
Ribbon would definitely be up there. I had to morph a master tonberry to get a third one.
Yeah isn't one ribbon in the temple of the ancients and another is in that ice cold mountain place
The weapons are in the daftest places haha. I didn't know about missing score not appearing as I ALWAYS used Barret :D
I did not know about the Behemoth Horn, thanks! :)
Nice video, Not many people end up finding the parasol/flayer and behemoth horn items.
I'd consider the Magic comb and the super ball for this list instead of the ancient forest weapons. Both are acquired at Fort Condor quite early in the game. The magic comb as your first reward for winning. And the super ball is obtained for winning your 7th battle (earliest time to obtain if you do every battle possible is after talking to Shera once in rocket town, but before advancing the story by talking to her a second time.)
Also while not a weapon the Vagyrisk claw item is only obtainable from the weakest version of CMD grand horn at Fort Condor. Which has it's own wonderfully complicated way of being spawned and fought.
Ron Karker you can buy superball in disc 2 at Junon. And the vagyrisk claw I put I my rarest items video
Just subbed. Great video!
Love the content! Definitely subcribing!
Dang, you got a lot of subscribers pretty fast! Your video was pretty awesome so I can see why though so congrats lol
Nice to see how little information you get ingame on your weapons. I dont know if its because of translation or because its never even there to begin with, but things like "Getting poison status doubles this weapons damage" would have been fantastic informations to know!
Honestly death penalty is probably the most missable like who'd think to go in to a cave with a waterfall that isn't apparent you can enter and then fight ten fights with Vincent come back to get the weapon but I came back after watching number one yea behemoth horn and death penalty is probably the most missable one's I agree
Hey, great video man, good work.
I just want to point out that you do fight a weapon in the original japanese version: Ultimate Weapon. That's the only weapon you fight on that version, and fighting him is totally optional, except in Mideel, which is a scripted battle.
Thanks for this!
I’m pretty sure “missing score” is a reference to a job that he wasn’t payed for involving midgar.. if not then it should be 👍🏻
I figured it was because of its power boost criteria. It gets stronger the more AP is installed on it, so without any materia that power score is zero, or missing.
Wow I thot I knew where everything was...I'm surprised I missed number 6! Never even knew about the shop in the Shinra building! Thx Laneface!
Very well done I liked the weapons described
Love the video except that you favour items that players will encounter on every playthrough versus genuinely hard to get weapons. I never heard of behemoth horn though, so kudos for that.
I gott admit there was a few here that I had no idea about, and I've played through the game probably a dozen times and done everything. lol
I did not think there was anything more I could possibly learn about this game. The Behemoth Horn has me completely dumbfounded! Going to start a new game up right meow! Thanks!
