    Here's a basic one that most people don't know: Your draw rate is affected by your Magic stat. Junction Cure to Magic, and you'll be drawing 8-9 magic each turn instead of 2-3.

    • @Primalliquid92
      @Primalliquid92  6 років тому +38

      Well yea rico draw is affected by your magic stat and the enemy's magic defense stat. In other words even if you junction a good spell to magic if the monster you want to draw from has stupidly high magic defense you're still going to be drawing 1-3 at a time.

    • @ChevaliersEmeraude
      @ChevaliersEmeraude 6 років тому +30

      I don't remember that part being in the tutorial, actually. And I always read it! And not just the explanations that pop-up mid-game, all the tutorials from the menu! But I don't mention the fact that Draw is linked to the magic stat to ever be mentioned.
      Nevertheless, it's an easy one to figure out! Early in the game, you have Quetzacotl, Shiva, Ifrit and Siren as your GFs, only 2 of which have the Mag-Junction ability. Yet there are 3 characters. So at this point, only 2 out of 3 characters will have good Drawing ability, and it'll be easy to figure out why!

      Its sad that more people don't like it. I blame its bad US reception on FF7. Since 7 was the first game in the series a lot of people played, they didn't quite understand that new final fantasy games were not sequels and were always very different from previous games. Long time fans knew this of course, but not new fans.

    I really like how FF8 is so unorthodox with its leveling system, items, and combat. Sure, things end up being really unbalanced but it really makes you think outside the box which many modern games lack with their safe design and mircotransaction model.

    • @danielessex2162

      You mean from the fact thst grinding can actually screw you over in boss fights? That magic needs to be attached to stats and never used? Oh items you mean the same ones that appear in nearly every other FF game aside from ethers which are not used in 8 and that stupid card game? Or much like FF6 where you can just repeatedly use the chars special skilla over and over again yet in 8 you can just keep using limit breaks over and over again? Then the story......starting with the mercenary rip off from FF7 to this school where they teach kids how to be hired killers for money inwhich it is all so some dude can fight his exwife....with chars that are mostly so bland and 1 dimensional it's hard to forget they are all teenagers sent on a bunch if mission that lead them to saving the world from and unknown enemy?
      Oh and the gil system is also stupid getting paid based on a time limit versus paid by the fight......yeah because cheating your way through every test to get maxed Seed rank at the very start of the game. Getting weapons not from purchase but by building them. And flying gardens because who needs airships? Oh wait you do still need airships?

      I could have swore you can only go so far in the SEED exams for a while and if you JUST walk, you'll lose SEED rank - you need to fight things or else your seed rank will slowly go down. I don't know if you can run away if that counts but I know fighting things regularly will keep the SEED rank up.

      The World That a horrible strategy. The best way is to fight to get it to go up and keep it up. If you don’t your Seedrank will start plummeting fast. You need to grind your ass off you can’t use GF I believe if your GF gets the final blow can you won’t get any seedpoints. If you completed all of the exam and your Seed rank is going down faster then the Titanic you’re fucked it’s not like you can retake the exam to get your Seed rank back up.

Draw 100 of each magic from island closet to heaven and hell.. then junction jumbo with the stat bonuses on plus your strongest magic and raise each player to 100 one at a time... you have base level stats of like 180... then on disc 4 play cards against the card queen and the cc group and card mod the stat increases. Or you can just junction magic to raise to max. But it allows you to ability junction the good abilities instead of wasting them on stat increases

    Card all enemies to avoid EXP and you still get AP. Level up your GFs to become super strong whilst enemies stay low level.

    • @Primalliquid92
      @Primalliquid92  6 років тому +15

      your GFs wont level up without EXP. The only thing AP does is lets them learn there abilities.

    • @Urasims
      @Urasims 6 років тому +28

      There are two areas in the game where you can level your GF without getting any EXP for your party.
      The first is before the tower in Dollet. You have to equip all your GF to Seifer and kill Squal and zell. You can safely grind there for hours getting the GFs you've gotten so far to max level.
      The second area is when you get Edea in your party on the way to Esthar. Same thing here. Except now you have a ton of GFs to level. There's more preparations to this one. You need to be immune to several debuffs or it's a game over.
      If you want to focus on leveling one GF at a time, you'll have to put that GF solo on the person that's killing. Since EXP is shared between all GFs equip to a person.

      GF's don't need to level. Its the junction abilities that make you a boss. Between them and carding/ modding for high end magic its best to keep your characters low level till you get Catuar and all of his +1 at level traits. I kept my whole team at level 10 till After I got the Ragnarok. I was literally God by the end of that run.

      Feel free to check what I added in a post yesterday on how refine system was made in junction to that system!
      (You will see that everything junction! Even my 2 posts!
      Maybe you will find a new love in Junction after this!.
      If you are afraid to use a spell because it is junctioned!
      Just look at the actual bonus you get from spells for 99% of the game. It change absolutely nothing to cast them. Maybe 2 dmg or something if it even does a change.(Most spells dont even change stats outside of a 5 increment+ of the spell)
      Really, take the hints! Dont be the person that see numbers without understanding what they do! Will help you a lot! Once you do, you will see that unlike the poor experience most get, FFVIII has less grinding for learning everything then any other FF.
      System was abandoned for 1 reason. People did not try to understand a simple crafting system that was made to prevent what ppl hated.
      FFVIII was made to avoid grinding(repetitive action of fighting 1 monster) which is totally annoying!
      It come in the form of farming monsters for Items, Magic, Money, Gears, XP, AP
      With downside of resting.
      Once you read the following, you will know freedom like never before!
      Farming xp resolved!
      Because monster adjust to your level, you can fight the monsters outside Balamb to reach lvl 100 if you want (They give more xp each time you level!). You do not need to go to A location, B spot or C. Yes, they even added 2 islands with high level static monster if you want to level even faster!
      Farming Items resolved!
      Because many monsters drop X items! ---> Refine into Y
      Because many card players have X card! ---> Refine into Y
      Because many monsters can be mugged for Y items
      Because they have Y in a form or another right away
      Rare are the things you can get in only 1 place.
      Hell, you can have lionheart disk 1 (Trust me though, if you look at numbers you will realize it's only impressive because of the limit break! The damage isn't that much more then all the other swords...)
      Farming AP resolved!
      Plenty of monsters give good AP.
      Beach monsters tend to give a lot of AP and often very good items.
      There also a few other places including Cactuar island you can reach as soon as Garden is mobile.
      Farming Magic Resolved
      >Rarely draw!< (I draw about 20 life and 50 full-life total and I have tons of leftover items that can create those 2 spells while still capped.)
      Monsters often drop items that refine into magic.
      Even Bite Bug with the worst drop of the game have Magic stone(5xlvl1 magic) to Wizards Stone(5xlvl3)
      Many monsters give items that refine into 20 spells and if not, they give many items which refine up to 20 spells!
      Shop items refine into magic in 95% cases
      Spells refine into stronger spells!
      There is 236 draw points in the game with about 1/3 being on world map!
      Cards refined from DROPS! (without carding), carded monsters, from games.(Kept it last to show it was NOT that big of a way)
      There is draw... Which I dont really use... What's the point of sit and draw ? Too many other options that are much faster.
      Farming Items Resolved
      They are everywhere and refine allow you to go back and forth with so many items...
      Farming Gears Resolved
      From monsters, to card, to boss.. So many options
      I can name 3 other ways not mentioned to get lionheart and other last weapons in cd 1 aside Irvine
      Farming money resolved (Gil)
      It's gone! No more issue! They even added intended money maker by buying/selling by making sure the profit stay less profitable/take more time then most things that can be done within the game!
      In the end, when you learn those mechanics you realize how FF8 had one of the best system implementation. But what can I say, it was tested by people who had to learn the system. Not people who find the easiest way(Draw) and end there finding it very boring(Agreed!)
      Draw was meant for 1 simple thing! The first time you see the spell shell, protect, etc... It can be useful to have 6-20 in stock until you can start crafting them.. At which point you can get 600 easy and draw become useless!
      Most of us who know the mechanics will play FF8 and the only spell they really draw more is Full-Life or a few early protect to fight Sacred and Minotaur. All the good guides will say to STAY AWAY FROM DRAW and if you cant help yourself, just use the highest magic character to draw and fight with others... (Oh shit! Sqall and Zell used draw and collected 1 spell each!) Yeah... Even if they get more.. Stay away from that...
      If you use Squalls offensive magic or to cure, you have it wrong..
      GF dont care about stats. So even if you have 255 MAG it wont do more dmg then if you had 1 MAG. So play like it's meant to be. They can all cap everything later anyway if you must see the numbers by end game...
      Im always amazed at how ppl trash cans on the ground worth 5c because they dont care or dont pick it up knowing its only 5c while not caring about environment but do such inefficient behavior in games where it does not help anyone! Not even themselves! It's much faster my way.
      Yes, using Draw in FFVIII is like picking consigned cans in a virtual world where there will never be pollution regardless of your actions. Sure, it bring in reward. Just the worse one.

    • @VirginMary1.0
      @VirginMary1.0 6 років тому +22

      Most of the story can be found out by sitting down and learning to put the pieces together like any good old FF games.
      Just a few hint for Squall parents:
      Ellone: "I wanted Laguna to go back to Raine."
      Ellone: "She was calling his name and wanted to show her new born son"
      Now, who was that son ?
      Hum, as always... Squaresoft love name origins!
      Laguna(Lagoon)
      Raine (Rain)
      Tell me something!
      How do you call a strong rain on a lagoon ?
      I believe it's a Squall right ? :p
      Final Fantasy games do not only make you play the game! They make you research it, understand it and take PART of the RPG! They dont call their hero "Superman" or "Spiderman".
      They call them:
      Cid : Cubic Inches Displaced! CID is a term for people who work on engines! What is Cid in every version of the game ? :p
      A few of the heroes:
      Cecil : Means "blind" and "dim-sighted". That is really what Cecil is in the game. Blind to everything but his purpose.
      Cloud : Cloud judgement IS clouded and cloud do not move by themselves. They are moved by the other elements surrounding them. Thats our Cloud!
      Squall: Not only refer to his parents(or his parents name were based on his name), but also refer to his temper!
      In FF, EVERYTHING has a reason to be and they even take political stance!
      Did you know that Squaresoft was sued quite a lot ?
      They had to slightly change the name of a monster!
      Malboro is actually from the cigarettes Marlboro and it is why it use BAD BREATH attack which cause plenty of BAD AFFLICTION! (Often being the most annoying monster!)
      They had to remove an ability in the japan version of FFVII after making an ability because they wanted to make a msg against suing them.
      Coin Toss was originally called "LAW" in FFVII because the message was "Giving your money to lawyer is like throwing money away".
      Of course, Japanese law firm wasted money and sued Squaresoft!
      The ability was removed from the gameplay, but left in the code! With cheating, it could be used! :p
      Now, if you ever wonder why old school gamers known that today gaming sux... You just have 1/10 of the picture of how deep gaming was before and how empty it is today! (Even Ether is a drug that was used by people who would end up believing they could do magic :p)
      Hope it was a good read :p

I usually do the one right at the top of the stairs as you first come in the mansion/castle first then go to the one in the wine cellar 2nd but I don't unlock Draw until the 3rd or 4th one, usually it's GF, then Magic, then maybe Draw or it might be Item, then Draw, then I go from there but Save is always the last one and Revive (or whatever it's called to allow you to bring back a KOed character) is 2nd to last. Usually right after getting Save I can save at that one save point right around the armory with Catoblas(sp?).

As long as they're lvl 30+ (contain Thundaga instead of Thundara) they have a chance of dropping a Laser Cannon which you can Ammo-RF into what you need.
      Easy way to farm them is keeping Rinoa on low hp with high str-junctioned magic (like Tornado) and just spam her combine limit break for Angelo cannon which usually one-shots them.

    Yeah, Chcobo world was a pretty cool concept. I'm actually a bit of a purest, I absolutely have to play games on their original consoles. So I actually imported a Pocket Station many years ago so I could get the legit experience. Plus it's just a cool peripheral to actually own. I seriously lucked out too, since mine has an I.D. number of 222, not the best, but it is the second best and actually gives me a decent shot at the column A items in Chcobo world. Most Pocket Stations, seriously over 90%, are completely unable of receiving column A items without trading I.D.s with another player. So I'll take my 1% since it's at least possible. There are a ton of Chcobo World exclusives though, like the Mog Armlet. With is the only way to heal your GFs in battle and it's power is tied directly to your Mogs level in Chcobo World. This goes for your Chicobo as well, which you can summon in FFVIII with Gysahl Greens.

      Yup, it works completely fine on non-Japanese hardware with the english game, it's not region locked at all. And since Sony was planning to release it globally, but just never did and never told developers, just about all of the games with Pocket Station functionally had it localized, like Legend of Mana, Saga Frontier 2, and the Misadventures of Tron Bonne. In fact, the Final Fantasy 8 manual has a whole section on the Pocket Station, complete with pictures of the device. I remember looking for one in stores as a kid and never finding it. Another reason I had to grab one.

    I used to be a perfectionist for these Final Fantasy games back in the day. Actually I still am lol like I've gotten every single card in this game, killed omega weapon, got everyone to lv 99 etc etc. In FF 9 i got the Excalibur II, did the HORRENDOUS 1000 jump rope jumps in a row etc. In FF 10 did the stupid 200 lightning strike dodges, maxed out my perfect blitzball team (got them all to lv 99 with pretty much every ability, a few of them like stupid drain tackles were extremly hard to get and pointless anyways) maxed out every characters stays by erasing every sphere grid stat that wasnt the highest it could be with every character and got everyones ultimate weapons in all games. Yuna and Lulu would do physical attacks on strong enemies and it would do 99,999 damage lol. Same deal with FF Tactics, FF 6, FF7, FF 10-2 and FF 12. Did absolutely EVERYTHING you could POSSIBLY do in all of these games. And for most of these games I've done it all multiple times lol.

      Sorry, I think I'm the only one crazy enough to have maxed every Aeon's HP/MP and stats by killing the arena foe getting 40 spheres per battle thanks to overkill. I didn't really count the spheres I need, but they may be hundreds of thousands. I could just stand not seeing them 99999 / 255...ahh, I also completed everything else, even maxing the Yojimbo hype to the max. But for the characters, I was really picky about letting them all stats 255 + MP 999. Then the rest of the free sphere grid was dedicated to HP, reaching the 60-70k. I was tempted to leave them at 3k MP and lower the HP, but I thought it is prettier to see 999MP, anyways with three stars MP is almost infinite. FFX is BY FAR the FF I played most, but my second one is FFT. I still consider it the best tactical rpg game of all times due to its versatility in battles. The most amazing tactics I've ever played :)

    • @esteveguineueta2328
      @esteveguineueta2328 5 років тому

      @bd3n21 jaja, I never cared about the order in the sphere grid because I forced myself to put a sphere +4 of the same type where the sphere +1,+2 or +3 was. I only played random with the empty places. I also don't care what party I use for main, I always have on the front Auron, Yuna and Tidus, and rarely swap them because: 1- Wakka is ugly, 2 - Lulu is my favourite but her limit break burns up my dual shock, 3 - Khimari is ugly and 4 - Rikku is very flat chested and I either like blondies. The stats paranoia can't be helped, 255 must be placed everywhere even being worthless. The worst part to complete was Blitzball, because I don't like sports at all. I had very hard time raising all the players to level 99 and getting all skills, even the infamous antidrain on Tidus and Wakka. I dunno why but many people complains about those being bugged in US version of the game, I played the PAL international and I had no issues getting them with the correct steps. It remembers me a little the keep trying over and over with zodiac spear in FFXII, not difficult but time consuming. I don't really know how many hours I spent exactly in the gameplay, since the clock stopped at 999:59 :(
      The one I really want to be continued or expanded is Type-0. I admit I had no hopes in any modern FF till I saw Type-0, a truly amazing game.
      Enjoy life :)

    Knew all these and I have another one for ya. Unlimited items from chocobo world: once you have a nice stockpile of items in CW, open FF8 and CW at the same time. Go to a save point. Bring Boko home, collect items, send Boko back. Switch to CW, open and close the menu. Switch to FF8 bring Boko home. Boom, you get the items again. You can do this indefinitely.

    I have one tip, get the GF Siren in the first mission, make it learn "L Mag-RF", buy 10 tents, turn them into 100 Curagas, junction them to HP stat. And now you have one character with over 3500HP in the first hour of gameplay. Junction the Curagas to Magic stat instead, and you can draw 9 magics from any enemy (Tornado/Demi from Diablos for example, just with 2 hours of gameplay)

      Doel Johon they would have to make a menu like X/X-2 HD and put FF8 & Chocobo World both out in there. I think the major issue is that 7 and 9 already had texture upgrades on PC while 8 got shafted, and SE is a lazy company. That or there is some sort of licence issues, which could really only be with Sakaguchi or Faye Wong, and I really doubt either. They just don't want to take the time for 8 since its kind of a cult classic more or less, and they are struggling with nursing their lovechild the dumb 7 remake.

    • @jancukasu

Sorry I strayed away from the main topic.
      Well, fingers crossed... hopefully they will port VIII to PS4. My only wish is that *at least* SE lets us have a complete FF main series in a same platform; which actually can be done for last year's 30th Anniversary Event (instead of lazily porting an arcade game into PS4 - I mean, come on, wouldn't be more memorable for the fans to have the entire main entry -sans XI since it only exists on PC today- in a somekind of "Ultimate Anniversary Collection"? Yeah, I'm asking too much.

I played the NES FFs through emulators because I didn't have a NES at the time. I first came to the series through FF4, playing it at my cousins' house and later got it along with the PS1 re-releases of FF5-6. I found FF8 on eBay six years ago and have barely touched it. I don't know if you knew this but a long time ago I discovered a glitch (sort of) with Chocobo World. If you send your items Home from the menu (like you did in your video of preview) and send him again WITH THE CHOCOBO GAME PLAYING the items don't vanish. And as grade A, B, C and D are randomized you get infinite items in seconds.
    This means that once you stock up a few As and Bs you can just send him home and back to the world (WITHOUT CLOSING THE PROGRAM OF CHOCOBO WORLD) and after Boko gets an event it resets and can send him home again and get all the items you had. Rinse and repeat and that's it.

    • @VirginMary1.0
      @VirginMary1.0 6 років тому +2

      Careful with that! If choco get 1 item before you send him back you will have this message "There is already a chocobo in the world". Which mean you wont be able to send him back and you will have to restart.

      Trance is right. You actually don't even have to encounter an event. If you send Boko back to the world and leave both games up (I used to do this by just hitting ctrl+alt). hit the key to make Boko walk and you only have to go one second, pause it, open ff8 screen again and bring Boko home again. Best stuff in the game without the grind. Especially when you play chocoworld a bit and you have like 8 A's and 20 B's banked. HFGL

    Nice tips! Some are pointed in game tutorial but people dont read what is explained, it might open them to look further in the refine system! WP.
    Still, cards are not broken. They were made to be used that way. FF games are not hard*. They all have ways to play without items and so on which make it harder! Yet, people end up playing the hard way because they simply do not care to learn mechanics. Hopefully your video will OPEN a few EYES! :)
    The rare card is indeed very rare. You can card up to 50 monsters and never get a rare card. In a play, I often only card and barely ever get any of the rare one outside of playing the card game. The game was designed that way so people would not sit and Draw for 3 hours like they do.
    Let me add a little for whoever might need a little more tips :p
    Make sure you are lvl 20+ when fighting adamantoise. Else, they wont drop. Im usually level 9-10 at that point.
    The reason for my level is that monster level = yours. It get much easier to fight low level with high end magic junctioned. To give as little spoiler as possible, if you reach last dungeon under 14. You can easily beat the strongest monster in game with 1 Zell limit break!
    The low profit method can be used early mostly.
    By the time you have sell high, buy low. There are quicker method to do about 99% of what you would with that money .
    To give an exemple of where people usually do this, it's for stats. Doing this trick, stats like STR+ will require over 1 hour+ of profit making per characters stats if you are consistent! Better beat the CClub and refine card/win again on Ragnarok from CClub members if you did their quest. It's close to when you get sell high/buy low anyway and hours shorter with much more fun! :)
    Btw, Chocobo world was on the 1999 PC release.(Let's face it! Console gamers dont know that games exist on PC unless it's a flash game, Starcraft, Diablo or a MMO
    Giving it a go again and figured I would check if someone had some new ideas for me.
    *Most FF can be played with 1 or more of the following challenge: No leveling, 1 character, no items, no equip, no spells, no summon, attack only, etc.
    Just 2 exemples to not make it an exhausting list:
    Ever used a tent on an enemy in FFIX ? Here is the clue on what it does: Yes, it heal but inflict all of the status one would get just waking up! :)
    FFVI x-zone or death + vanish is intended.(x-zone does make you miss on some items! :p)

    • @VirginMary1.0
      @VirginMary1.0 6 років тому +3

      1. You cannot max stats in the early game
      2. Many of the "exploitations" are explained in the game tutorials and in the game story script as well. People simply do not read.
      3. You realize that 95% monsters drop several items that can only be used to transform them into magic ? What have you been doing with them ? A Jenga stack ? The fishes just outside balamb drop stones and fins. The stones have plenty of spells possibility and the fins give 20 water each.
      4. Junctioned stats have no effect on the power of GF and summoning a GF give a extra layer of protection that while lengthy, deal more dmg with the proper abilities then a magic junctioned character auto attacks.
      5. Final Fantasy always have a fun and easier way for a second play. It was meant that way.
      6. The craft system is not random... It was made and intended the way it is. The fact that you realize things now show how little you read in this game and how arrogant people feel toward tutorial that explain exactly how to "abuse" such so called "game breaking"/"unintended" functions.
      As my first post directed to Primalliquid "Nice tips! Some are pointed in game tutorial but people dont read what is explained, it might open them to look further in the refine system!"
      You did not read my post anymore then you read in the game.
      From sleeping T-rex, to carding, to refining cards or items into strong magic. It was all explained by Trepe from the game start to the graduation night while you were busy pressing X as fast as possible.

      Final Fantasy are easy games that tell you and sometime even show you in a battle the abuses they have. They made story like manga that are interactive. They even made it simpler then typical rpgs by removing most effects of spells other rpg had to make things simpler and less confusing. Everything is made easy and they created many tools to make the gameplay simpler.
      Just to name a few things.
      Can you believe:
      In FFVI most spellcasters start to cap damage near lvl 30-40 ?
      Relm does 9999 easily even with the lowly fire 3 on a non fire weak enemy nearing 35 and can easily 9999 Ultima at 25. This mean that with a Gem Box. Relm can take out 1/3 of Kefka hp in 1 turn at 25. While most people call "vanish/doom" a bug. It is not even working on all monsters and most people still do not realize today that 95% of those imune to vanish/doom are not immune to Ragnarok summon.(You can even kill all 8 legendary dragons with Ragnarok summon!) Hell, people still claim Stam is a useless stats and it's the best way to resist death spells and the only way to resist physical death attack.
      In FFVII, you can finish the game using starting equipment and no materias. The strong consumables are IN the game. They are not game genie code.
      In FFVIII, one of the first thing that happen is you get a GF that can Card and Card mod and 2 room later you receive a deck of card. It could not be more intended than this
      In FFIX you can finish the game gaining 0 exp, tents have effects of "waking up" on enemy. (confuse, darkness, full cure, etc..)
      Can you be overpowered in FF games ? Sure, they are easy to begin with if you use any sort of strategy. But hey, people do not scan monsters and go for the strongest spell they have which rarely is the best strategy.
      Truth is, some people do not have a clue how to play a game and the same people always lose at chess because all they do is move the Queen around the board.

    • @CrnaStrela
      @CrnaStrela 6 років тому +3

      Dude, this game is the only game where most of the bosses died to one combo (Lionheart + Meltdown) all if you count Selphie with the only balancing factor is how random they are. This is also the game where the enemy didn't give much challenge despite items like hero existed, heck Ultimecia final form didn't even have strong AoE attack that inflict all status effect. Basically hero potions are used only against the bonus boss (Omega weapon), also don't get me started on Aura.
      FF VIII, while fun and enticing, is pretty short-thought because they were dealing with deadlines and pressure to make game as good as FF VII, they kinda did but they realized how bad this junction system and unlimited Limit Break is that make the game "unchallenging". That's why they went back to traditional MP system, making magic worth using again, also removing multi-hit attacks, essentially hardcapping the damage limit. They kinda bring back multi hit attack and damage limit break attack later but it's fine because the enemies have humongous amount of HP that those attacks is quite needed.
      All this doesn't change the fact that FF VIII has the best soundtrack and the most fun mini-game (Triple Triad), fuck Tetra Master and all other card games after that

    • @VirginMary1.0
      @VirginMary1.0 6 років тому +3

      Lol, I will start by saying that this is true for every FF and overpowered happen in every FF games... You waste your time farming too much and making your focus on easier "FFVIII" highly inaccurate.
      1. Meltdown is a monster level 30+ magic aside for Jumbo Cactuar and Trauma(Ultimecia Castle). I finish my runs between lvl 16-30. Omfg, you are that early 30 ? How ?? By simply overfarming!(How boring...) Something that can easily make all FF easy and quite boring. If you wanna waste time farming and being overpowered to think the game is easy, feel free to see the irony of your statement.. As for the fact, unless you farm to be overpowered, use meltdown and lionheart to a point that any game would be easy. You do not even take down a Tonberry with Meltdown + Lionheart in 1 limit unless you roll the right Limit... I wont even get into the whole Aura limitation and how to have limit break most of the time you need to waste time getting overpowered. By the time you are done getting overpowered Im already midway CD 3. Talk about ruining your own game fun by doing what would make any FF super easy and blame a specific game for it...
      2. Getting Lionheart on disc 1 require a sacrifices of card utility or be way overleveled for the rest of the game. Im usually not even 30 when I finish the game. It's normal that if you farm xp to a point that of nonsense you find the game easy, it's normal... You just gained 15-20 level over what you were supposed to be just to make the darn sword that does not give a lot of damage aside more Limits and dont trust me on it! Go check out the barely more extra STR it give compared to even the starting sword! If you wanna call wasting time leveling and leveling making it easy. Be my guest and granted! That's true for every god damn FF games... They pretty much all have low level challenge and solo char. So if you are 20+ level ahead. Please dont tell me any of the the FF are hard... FFVII can be finished using bare equip and no materia.. Come on... If you wanna talk about stupid overpowered... Go play again FFVII, its retarded easy. Maybe you were simply not familiar with RPG or some other reason.. I wont presume to know your state. Only claim to know requirements of what you talk about needing to achieve your "easy" game.
      3. Limit break kill faster in most case and yet many games like FFVII can be done with starting equip and no materia. The boss are all easy, same can be said with FFVI where you are overpowered at 30 as Relm can already do 9999 wit many spells and Kefka only got 63k hp. With a Gem box Relm alone tick 1/3 Kefka hp in 1 round(Poor Kefka). FFIX can be finished gaining 0 xp during the whole game. Dont tell me boss are ever hard or long. They all have tricks and if you cannot find them... Dont say a singular game is easy while they all are.
      4. Junction system was removed because people were stupid. They did not realize that using magic barely affected your stats and the stats loss was marginal. If you cast a status spell with Squall instead of putting it on his weapon, you know that it's not how to play. They brought mp back simply because people were afraid to use magic's even with spellcaster because they never counted the changes it make.(Which are irrelevant once you look at numbers) I would not be surprised to see tons of items that can create magic in your inventory sitting because you did like most people and drawn over and over while I barely ever draw in a game and got the same repertoire of magic by simply transforming the many items monsters drops and monster cards that turns out to have no other uses into magic! Every good guide will say that using the draw command is rarely needed and is a waste of time/turn.
      5. Your arguments are only true if you spend tremendous time overleveling and spent getting overpowered. Please, take a step back! Look at how you play the game and the needs for what you claim to use. They dont have normal requirements.. They require you to be over leveled and if you did the same with any

    nice clickbait, those tips knows EVERYONE years ago.. only kids are born after 2005 dont know these cuz they dont play these kind of games anymore. even with the junction system, with draw depends on magic and other things..

    Already did that on original FF8 pc version when it just came out.. .. you done playing save the config file from chocobo world somewhere on your pc.. if you start a new game .. once you got the chocobo world game.. copy past the old config file in choco game folder and you already have every item maxed .. also you can loot/transfer the items from chocobo world every like 1 minute or so to your inventory.. your items be maxed out.. if your talking about max money.. just sell it all and you never run out of money
    Also do the magic lamp the minute you get it (after saving).. the longer you wait.. the more difficult the GF becomes ... the boss/gf scales to your level.. so if you level up he will use more difficult tricks to beat you

    I'm playing the original PS1 version, and I have a much better way than Chocobo World to get a Ribbon and a Dark Matter: Gameshark. ;)

      And you don't need any more Rosetta Stones than what you get normally in the game. 1) Bahamut learns Ability X4 normally 2) Cheryls store in Esthat 3) Ultimecia Castle treasure

      1. Gameshark completely defeats the purpose and only works on ps1/ps2.
      2. yes you can get ability x4 easy in late game, however this is getting them easy way earlier on (At a much faster rate than the card guy in prison)

      True. But since I play the original PS1 version exclusively, and I don't live in Japan, I have absolutely no moral qualms about hacking a single Ribbon and a single Dark Matter into my inventory. And I only use them at the near end of the game.

      There are a number of Chocobo World exclusive items that need Chocobo World data to function though, even if you cheat them in. Ever use the Mog Armlet and all that ever happens is it shows "Miss" on your party, or wondered why Boko is so damn weak but the item that summons him is kind of expensive, or what the hell the Friendship item does? That's why.

      Yep. Good thing I also use Vilurum's gameshark Boko power up codes. My Mog Amulet works just fine, thank you.

    Chocobo world was on the PC version of VIII back in 2000 when it first came out. Way before Steam got FF VIII! I told people about Chocobo world and they thought I was insane.

    Hi guys. Id just like to add 1 more fact that i thought would be intresting for you all if you didnt own a pocket station. You could actually get 2 extra summons(thats what i called them anyways) that will appear at random. The first is when your ff8 and pocket station are synced the chocobo you control in chocobo world becomes like a mini random GF who drops into a battle at random and runs into the enemy. Secondly, after you play chocobo world for a while you meet another character called momba. After this and your FF8 and Pocketstation are synced mombo also acts as a mini GF and appears at random and attacks enemies.

    late to the party here, but you didn't mention this when you were elaborating about the card ability and it sometimes giving an alternative card.
    you can force this to happen by having 100 of the monsters card already. it will fail if you are full 100 stocked. so you just keep spamming and it will fail until it rolls for the higher level card.
    the fire bombs in the fire cave can give the rare card that can be broken down into holy magic. and the trex's in the training center will spit out the shumi tribe card like you mentioned in the video. you can refine into gambler spirits that will teach card to other gfs, but you can also break that down futher to get 10 wizard stones which you can use to refine all kinds of high level magics.
    you can do all this card collecting before dollet and be stupid powerful.
