Note: Final Heaven can actually be extremely powerful if you hit all "Yeah!", but Angerax and Highwind still win if your character is dealing 9999 with each hit, and Omnislash ends up being better most of the time as well.

I remember about a year ago I was trying to get Tifa's Level 4. Somehow I managed to play it by ear with no guide. I found it to be pretty fun since I was able to experiment with the sounds. Tis a shame I cannot do that with a real piano!

In the flashback to nibelheim you can see the sheet music, I just wrote it down when I was a kid.

Adam C if you link counter with mime (can link as many counter-mimes as you want) and you can spam your limit break
you can even go full circle. if every member mime. when you reach the character that used the limit before it will work again.

Yeah when he said you can mime/counter materia to use 8 omnislashes I was like wtf?! That's insane, I never would have thought of that as a kid.
I've never visited Lucrecia's cave using a submarine. I always just use a mountain chocbo
Just park your sub at the edge of the mountain then walk through the waterfalls
Gold chocobo is easier
A side note for Aeris's limit break:
The guy who gives you the mythril will give you a bolt ring instead if you run from battle too much. If you go outside and meet the conditions again (matching odd numbers/matching 0's) he'll give you the mythril.
There's one little incorrectness according to Vincent's last Limit. You can get it already, just after receiving the Highwind. Get yourself a golden Chocobo, ride to Lucretias Cave with Vincent in the party. Enter it, talk to her, leave, ride the cocobo over to an other area, fight ca. 10 times, enter again and there you got it. This works even on CD 2, you don't have to wait until CD 3 (at least if you play the PC Version)

I've always said it; FF7 was very advanced when it came to Materia use. I would spend hours alone just to see what the best combination of materia would be for different situations in the game. Some combinations helped while others would actually hurt you.
The more of your videos I watch the more I appreciate just how enormous this game is. I've been playing it since I was 8 years old and now I'm 32 and I've still only scratched the surface
I love that background music choice are always good on this channel, super calm and cute nerdy yet fun explanations that just give us all the information we need. And the fun humor we’ve come to enjoy. Modern games have lag and seem to suck compared to old school gaming experiences

Watching you is really getting me back into final fantasy 7. I was 19 hours into it and then my computer took a shit and i lost all my progress. I haven't played it since, but once i beet ff4 i'm probably going to start playing again (with cloud saving on this time).

Thanks for this video! I'm planning on replaying this game before the remake comes out. This, and other videos on your channel, will help me on that quest. But I don't have much time left, so i'll probably have to skip a lot of extras. It'll be like my own personal speedrun. Well, considering it took me like 77 hours to beat it the very first time I played it, I think it's doable.

Wouldn’t really call it a city, it’s a shanty town if anything, plus they probably didn’t get much of a choice given the financial status of a lot of people in the game 😂👍🏻

LOL! That was a good one. But later on they expanded him a lot with Dirge of Cerberus etc (probably because he was so beloved by the surprisingly huge number of pseudo-goths in the FF fan base lol).

I felt smart figuring this out in 1997 haha...obviously not with all the variables, but the general concept of using Limits as much as possible to get the next one. I used to grind like crazy every time to having Finishing Touch by Shrina Tower, and whatever Barrett's 6th limit is as well.
The depth of 7 still to this day just amazes me. To this day I don’t think SO much thought love and effort has been put into a single game. Ever. Maybe 14 but even so. 7 reigns king 👑

This is the Steam Version, which was retouched. I highly recommend this version of the game, and it's pretty cheap.

i once farmed Clouds Meteor Rain right at the beginning of the game (in the reactor) , took a while but pretty funny having that OP attack so early, he was lvl 20 something at that point.

What's really cool which you can do on Spreadsheets is to use the equation but rearrange it so you are solving for 'Damage Taken'. If you set 'max HP' as 100% then the only numbers you need is "Status" and "limit constant".
The equation becomes:
Damage taken needed(Percentage)= Limit Constant/ Status * .332
EXAMPLE"
Cloud Omnislash need to take damage equal to:
84% of his Max HP during Fury
168% of his Max HP during Normal
336% of his Max HP during Sadness

About the Limit Break mime thing... I don't know if it's already mentioned somewhere or not, but if all your active party keep using command mime after someone use Limit break, the character who unleash the limit will be able to use its own limit break again. For example if Cloud use Braver, then char 2 use Mime (it will fail with notification like in the video), char 3 use mime (still fail), until Cloud use Mime too. Cloud will use Limit Braver. Might be fun for some Limit like Cait SIth's which have many random results.

In ffrk Seph's limit breaks are from dissidia (Hell's gate, Shadow Flare, Black Materia)

Awesome video, good info, I learned all this stuff from the Versus Guide. If you're OG you know what I'm talking about. Also, I think it's pronounced climb (as in climbing up a cliff) hazard. Not klimb. But that's just me.
I always watch these videos when i get the itch to play ff7 again.....for like the 30th time 👍
Sadness doesn't half the damage you're dealt, it reduces it by 30 %.
Note that the poison effect doesn't fill the Limit gauge cause the game considers it's an attack from the ally himself.
When you mime Tifa's Limit or Cait Sith's 2nd Limit, they use the same slots, but not especially the same summon or toys.
The Tifa's Limits are always critical when you hit a Yeah and are never critical else.
In the Limits data file, each ally has 4 levels of *3* attacks, but they finally left blank 5 or those 12 slots.
You can visit the Lucrecia's cave with a Green / Black / Golden Chocobo, not only the submarine.
Lucrecia gives to Vincent the stuff as soon as
- Cloud apologized in the Highwind operation room (ok it's almost like saying CD3 if you already did the quests)
- you have Vincent triggering his flashback with Lucrecia
- you fought a random number of battles, between 1 and 11, since the first time you came in the cave. Even if Vicent wasn't here.
- you come again with Vincent in the party
The 3 first conditions are required, but in any order.

The best place that i found to unlock the limit breaks was in forest areas on the first island, you get groups of these tree type monsters that come in groups of 5, if you have (fire 2)paired up with (ALL) materia they will all die with one cast, by the time i got to junon fir the first time everyone had their lv3 limits unlocked

Not sure if it is a PS4 thing but Vincent's limit break Chaos can be learned in disk 2. When you find her cave in disk 2 you don't need to wait until disk 3. Just do the 10 to 15 battles and you can then go back in and get his level 4 limit.

Hey, you can also use a green, black, or gold chocbo to get Vincent's final limit break.
6:21 you can actually kill the enemies the way you prefer, even with a limit break and it will still count up.
Maybe deathunitesus meant not JUST with a Limit Break

I like Doom of the Living more than All Creation. Particularly with the conformer
All Creation is the game's strongest attack, with a 16x multiplier.
But Yuffie isn't strong enough to get underflows with it, so it's pretty useless due to only attacking once.
