I used to be a Ford guy. My mom's ex had a 2011 F-250 and he programmed it to where it would bypass the fuel cutoff and we went 100 mph down the interstate. That son-of-a gun would fly.
According to GPS I hit 132 mph. That was in 6th, was not redline. Tires aren’t rated that high so after I proved my point, I backed down to double digits pretty fast.
@@Livin_my_best_life how come you weren't able to hit redline on 6th gear?? Also you were going on flat road correct? And not down hill... I mean the tires aren't rated for that speed correct, but it's not gonna just blow out once you've exceeded the speed rating...unless you were WAYY off like doing 200 mph+ for like more than 10 minutes. THEN it probably "could" happen....
@@Livin_my_best_life if your truck was more aerodynamic and LESS weight, you probably very likely could hit redline at 6th gear...I'm thinking the weight and the air wind resistance was preventing you to hit redline at 6th gear.
@@prandomable haha no not down hill. I was going fast enough in a 55 zone, proved my point to a Ram TRX, not many long stretches of straight flat roads in central Pa. Not saying I wouldn’t redline in 6th on a straight flat road in the Midwest with different tires on it. Running 36x13r20 on a 12” -44 wheel. With about 280k it’s not as tight as it used to be, not as solid and straight at high speeds like it used to be.
@@Livin_my_best_life did you beat the RAM TRX?!?! Anyway a lot of people do top speed run like during 3:00 am in the morning with much LESS traffic. However cops is what you need to look out for...whether during day OR night...
Hell yeah it was. I really think it had to do with the tuning. Since then the 4/5/6 clutch pack went out so I swapped to a Warren Diesel stock plus and triple disc billet converter, and much better trans tuning.

@@Livin_my_best_life Just wondering, I recently picked up a 2011 f350 6.7 and it has already been deleted and tuned, but I didn't get the tuner. Do you know where to get a tuner because everything is illegal now. Did you get your stuff before the epa cracked down?
@@7.3powerstroke6 tunes are written using different software as a base, i.e. SCT, EZ lynk, edge, etc etc. You upload the tunes to your device then down load connected to your vehicles OBD. I have a SCT tuner that I use to monitor some perimeters but didn’t tune it with the SCT. You don’t need to own a device. My current tunes were done by someone else and their device. Devices aren’t illegal, deleting and tunes that support the delete and add HP are illegal lol EPA tried a lot of shit but having a device to monitor your vehicles perimeters can’t be illegal and they want make it harder but will never stop it.
