you have to change to audio through HDMI once connected to bluetooth. just rightclick on the sound icon and switch to hdmi and BOOM! audio through your tv. There is also a different udcd plug-in to turn the screen off when outputting video. Look into that if it bothers you. Doesn't really both me much
I think there are adapters that will take an HDMI cable and splice in an aux cable's audio into the video feed. That seems like the solution for audio, with an aux cable straight from the Vita to the HDMI cable.
I have vita 1000 from the start. I didn’t bother jailbreaking until last year. I already saw how 3ds went with wireless capture, so that is one of the reasons i wanted a vita tv. Unfortunately, i agree with you. The new and unboxed i got from Akihabara is expensive. Still, the desire to capture to my pc… vita is my only console in college for a few years until i get money to buy 3ds. it was also a bummer to see katsukity closed down and missed the opportunity to install a usb port to my vita. It’s such a sad thing they either didn’t share their project and/or someone else who would have picked the project up and continue making vita usb capture I did encounter the hdcp thing in my vita tv, but when i was researching about hdmi splitters, i saw a video that hdmi switchers also strips hdcp. So i have an hdmi kvm switch lying around, and yes, it did strip hdcp. Yay!
when u mentioned the capture cards, does this mean you CANT use a capture feed and view it inside ur pc while playing with a pstv? ill just keep m vita then if thast true
For the most part, yes. The PSTV has hardware-level HDCP, which prevents most capture cards from outputting its signal. With that in-mind, certain capture cards (like the Genki Shadowcast 1) or HDCP-compliant HDMI splitters can get around the protection. I don't own a Vita, but I enjoy geeking out to these videos that salve a problem with retro gaming. I always like to know what options are out there.
This looks awesome.. but way over my head. Thanks for the video. ❤

Wasn't there a Vita plugin that shut the screen off when docked back when the original Vita Dock project was still live?
That's entirely possible and I just haven't come across it yet.
Yes, its the same plugin with name extension _OLED or LCD. Theres three version available.
Hey! Do you have the mClassic upscaler? Could you try using it with this dock?
Unfortunately, I don't. I imagine it should work fine though.
@@GameXData It works great for OG XBOX, PS3, WII and WII U games, maybe can do a good work for PS Vita too

this would be great for recording gameplay
What pi did you use
I have a Raspberry Pi 4 with 4GB of RAM
Should of had modded in the header of your video.
I feel like it's implied since the Vita doesn't have any display out functionality on stock firmware
