I can hardly believe that IT'S HERE! The FINAL video in this epic comparison series! I'm practically giddy that this project has wrapped up, and very excited to share these two amazing finished canvases with you.
Diamond Art Club and Diamond Painting Deutschland have very different approaches to rendering and colors, and the kits themselves look very different from one another, too. Both are licensed from artist Josephine Wall and both companies have really fabulous qualities. My goal with this series is not to pit these companies against one another, but to highlight what their strengths are and what you can expect if you were to order one of their diamond painting kits.

I prefer the DAC Painting over the other Dp!, because that one looks washed out!!, whereas DAC is really Beautiful and the details are so much more clearer and crisper!!😊😊💕💕
This was the most amazing series. I am torn between the two. I appreciate the clear elements in the DAC. But the soft colors in the DPD are so beautiful. I do find the hand in the DAC a bit stark because the colors are different from the skin tone in her face, but the original art has similar colors? I wish the animals in the DPD were more apparent. I am curious to see a middle ground between them. The work you put in on this (and all of your content) is mind blowing. Congrats on two completely massive projects coming together so well.
I am a photo editor & I can say it is incredible the difference from person to person what type of editing we like. What a great & indepth comparison. I do agree that both of these versions are interesting edits, both look like a combo of the image. I am leaning towards the DPD just because I don't tend to like crisp lines.
I agree with you. They are both beautiful, but I think the DPD is more ethereal. I’ve gravitated to that one every time.

You did an amazing job with these two kits! I'n not into Josephine Wall but I've watched all the videos. It's really interesting to see how the rendering is different and so important. I like both company's versions, but 1) I buy my Josephine Wall's DPs from Diamond Painting Deutschland, I like their look for this artist better and I love the pastel overload. 2) overall I love DAC's poured glue and scallops on the side of their canvasses better.
Awesome job on this series! Seriously, that's a lot of work and you did such a great job comparing both. I think the DPD looks closer to the original artwork, but I think I'd rather complete the DAC because I like the contrast and the emphasis on the details. Plus it looks like a lot less confetti than DPD. I agree, it's totally up to the person diamond painting to what they prefer! Thanks again for all these videos!

Wow. Good job. First I tought I like DAC more, it is clearer, but now I think DPD is more like the original. More aquarellic. Do you know what I mean?
The rendering is harder at DAC.

This was the canvas that brought me to your channel, and after seeing it completed I will say I prefer the DAC with the exception of the water rendering in the upper left hand corner that is the only portion I prefer the DPD version. Thank you, and seeing this canvas is what made me buy it after seeing section 2 completed. Thank you for your hard work and diligence

I am so thankful for this video. Jo Wall art is no longer available on DAC and I was considering the Deutschland option, but it just doesn't speak to me. Thank you for helping me in my decision not to purchase. I will just have to be faster when making a decision to purchase!

Fantastic series, I have enjoyed this comparison. My favorite has been DPD due to the soft blend but odd enough in terms of the overall product I love DAC because I love being able to see the details.
Thanks for doing this series. I like the DAC so much better from viewing distance than up close. I still wish there was a middle choice because I like parts of the piece better on one company, and other parts better on the other.
I love both renderings. Personally I will never do a painting with 200 plus colors. I appreciate you doing this. What a fun series this has been. Thank you for the content.

I’m sorry but over 80 colours would seriously be too traumatising - such a huge project to do one of these let alone 2 so I’m soooo impressed with what u have done, great job!
I think a lot depends on where the painting would hang and the look you would be going for... in a vibrant room the DAC would still stand out but if going for a relaxing atmosphere the DAD would be the one to go for. Well done for all the work you have put into these large paintings.... I honestly don't think I could even do two smaller paintings twice 😁 Thank you 💚
Great job Katie! I’ve watched the entire series and it has been truly a fun experience. I must say that I prefer the Diamond Painting Deutschland rendering. At viewing distance it more closely resembles the original artwork in my opinion. I’ve just received the “Crystal of Enchantment” from DPDeutschland in square drills ( that’s all I do) and I’m excited to start on it. I love a challenge and I’m not intimidated by the number of colors. Thanks for your very hard work on this comparison video! 💖
This series has been incredible!! So much hard work you’ve put it and it hasn’t been waisted on me. I prefer the contrast in the DAC kit, personally, though they are both beautiful in different ways.
You have inspired me to do a comparison series next year with two of the same kit from Uniquely Yours Down Under. One is poured glue with minimal colors, the other is double sided adhesive with many colors. 🤗

Wow! I love them both. There’s more richness and detail in DAC but I know the challenge of 275 colours makes the DPD version a different experience completely. We’ll done Katie. Thanks for sharing. You have been so generous with your time and it’s a great comparison. I’m sad it’s over 🥲

From a diamond painting perspective I prefer DAC. A lot less confetti, poured glue and the image is clearer and I think would be more fun to work on. I do like the rendering of the waves in the DPD better though.

First of all, thanks so much for taking us along your journey with this amazing project!! What a gift you have given the diamond painting community with this comparison series. I think you've taught all of us, including these companies, more about the impact of rendering in diamond painting form. I thought, until now, my preference was going to be the DAC version because I tend to gravitate towards vivid colors and high contrast. To my surprise, I adore the subtle rendering and softer color palette of the DPD version!! That said, which one would I want to work on... definitely DAC 😂...Bravo 👏
Wow, I actually prefer the DAC version! I feel like some details got lost in the DPD version. The only thing I don’t love about the DAC is her face and the blue in front of the face. I wish they had softened that area a little and used a few more colors in the blue space. Otherwise it’s perfect! 💜
This is just awesome. Both versions are exceptional. I like her face and hand in the softer version but like the surrounding background in the DAC version. Choosing just one I would probably go with DAC version. I hope the Uniquely Down Under version gives a middle road of the two. Thank you for this “journey” and your time in completing both. Thank you so much for all your work on these paintings! As you said it is a personal preference and in each video my eye was always drawn to DAC painting, for the colors and clarity. I had considered a DPD, but was always put off by the number of colors but this just confirms my choice of staying with the DAC. This was so helpful, and very much appreciated.
If I were to choose overall, I would probably pic the DAC version. Both are stunning and I'm still in the in-between camp. If they could combine and come up with the middle, it would be great. 🙂

Not even close for me, DAC for me is the clear winner. I prefer their more defined version and their coloring. So much better in my opinion. But like you said, it’s all about personal preference. 😊
Thanks for the video, I was really tempted to buy one of DPD Josephine Wall painting precisely because the insane amount of colours but I think I’ll pass on that, it doesn’t look that great and you can’t really see there’s over 150 colours in there, you saved me lots of money spent on a purchase that I would have been disappointed with, so thanks s lot!
Wow… I’m also firmly in the camp of wishing I could combine aspects of both (and maybe make my own tweaks). The woman’s face and arm, as well as most of the sky in front of her, I think we’re done better by DPD. I also preferred that they stuck closer to the original dimensions. The dimensions weren’t so different that messing with the perspective was worth that change by DAC. However, the single bird in the foreground in front of the woman, her hair, and almost everything behind her I thought was much better in the DAC version. I do wish the blues in the sky and face were closer to the original… both companies’ renderings look more teal blue to me than the original artwork. Here’s hoping the Australian version you mentioned ends up being the best of both worlds… and still available for purchase once you have time to do that one.

OMG what a difference. I love DAC so much better. Colors, clearness and just overall stunning. I do see a little that I like on the germany one the watercolor effect.. but overall love the DAC I do love bright colors so that's why.... Thanks so much for doing this study. That's a lot of time and I personally would be bored doing two of the same.. Thanks for much for the video.
I love them both! It all depend on the purpose, i e who I was giving it to or where I was hanging it as far as deciding which one I want. I can't wait to see the UYDO one.

Amazing job! Both came out nicely. As you said, I wish there was an in-between. DAC colors are so stark compared to the original painting and some of the dark outlining takes away from the softness as well. On the other hand, DPD would benefit from going through and cleaning up some of the computer rendering as some of the picture gets muddled with so many colors and no definition. Anxiously await what the Uniquely Yours rendering to see what they do with it.
First and foremost. Hats off to you for your amazing job on both canvases. You are my DP She-ro. I have to agree with you and the others that both had their own merits. I was a bit disappointed that for all the colors used by DPD that there was not more sharpness that appears in the original art work. I almost feel like DAC is over focused and DPD was under focused especially with the birds to the right and butterflies to the left. But again kudos to you and I can’t wait see what’s next.
The DAC version is definitely on my wishlist and I will buy it sometimes next year

I have both the DAC and UYDU versions and I can't wait to do my own comparison between those two companies!! I can't believe how fast you completed this comparison! It seemed at the end of this video where you had 4 pictures on screen (both companies on top and both original artwork pics below their respective canvases), that the bottom 2 pictures were mistakenly swapped... Both paintings are beautiful. I do favor the DAC. I can't imagine the work you put into them. If you do another comparison video,I would love to see you do one with round drill paintings.

I think I like DPD better. It’s better at a distance. I thought I was going to be DAC because of more detail but in the end I changed my mind. They are both beautiful though and you did a great job!
I like them both they are amazing. I said I would never do such a large kits the Deutsche one (never say never right) but I went to their website and I found two I want to do. Both over 250 colors each yes they both are zodiac sign. I am one sign with a lot of tendencies of the other. I am thinking about buying both of them & do them separately throughout all of next year. I think that is going to be my big project for next year. A lot of me deciding to do one is because of watching these videos of you completing them. So thank you. Sorry this comment is so long.

So I was pretty certain that the DAC version was going to be my favourite. Right up until you showed the normal viewing distance pictures. Then I thought hmmmm actually I quite like the DPD version. Up close I like DAC, from far away I like DPD.
Thank you for doing this. For me I think that for a general look DAC is more accurate in the color choosing and definition. But the face is completely different from the original artwork. Is beautiful but not the original. As for color goes her hand is more accurate in DAC. But also I think both companies didn't achieve the color of the skin. They did it brighter and is more subdued in the original artwork. Also I don't like the hair in Diamond Deutschland is too blurry. I think I prefer the DAC more
Excellent series!!!! I would love to see the 3rd version from UYDU added to the mix! I know it will be closer to the DPD version but perhaps a bit more where it was slightly lacking on DPD. Finding that happy medium would be "just right" as with the 3 bears!! 🐻 🐻❄ 🐻 Artistically DPD is closer to J.W. version. Have you considered sending the link to J. W. ?? I think she would truly love this!! Maybe after the UYDU is added?? Just a thought and something to add like in a short interview with her?? 😉😉💎💎💎
I really don't like many parts of the DAC.. Thought I would want to get Josephine Wall from them but I guess I'll use DPD in spite of the many colors. I fell like DPD is closer to the original art. After I noticed the wings at the ears and that one wing does not touch the ear in the DAC I knew I would not get that version.
I was sure with so many colors I would like the DPD painting more, but I actually like DAC’s version much better! It is just a bit too stark, but I gotta give DAC the blue ribbon on this one!

DPD in every way except for the double sided adhesive. I love the more muted, water colour look you get from using more colours.
Well done! Congrats on the finish. I like both . . .but my eyes just seem to really be drawn to DAC's version. I would love to see the UYDU one. But, I don't think I could work on this canvas twice let alone 3 times.

I'm planning to do the UYDU version but I don't think I'll be able to swing doing the HAED blank canvas version too 😅

My opinion hasn't really changed now that they are both finished both have their pros and cons. But if I had to choose I would take DAC hands down!

Computer rendering I love hands down. I don’t like the hand charting at all. I look at the DAC one and I don’t see Josephine Wall at all, even though it’s one of her art work. You can see how obvious each line is hand charted. The DP Deutschland, I love how it hold true to Josephine Wall. It’s more realistic instead of how cartoonish and 2 dimensional it looks with DAC. The computerized version is more realistic looking and more like looking at a photo. Kudos on working on both of them. I’m working on a Josephine Wall from DP Deutschland like now and it’s a lot of work but it’s worth it.
Do you know which one Josephine Wall prefers? I'd be interested to see what she has to say about the renderings, since it's her artwork.

I am very torn. I wish I could take aspects from both and combine them. I don't know what to say. The DPD would probably drive me insane with confetti. Both have great attributes. I do wish that one was closer to the original. The DPD is almost too washed out. It almost looks like a tapestry. Which is still very beautiful. I have issues with how much they changed the face on the DAC. I wish both companies would consider some revisions. You are amazing for completing both of these kits in such a short time. I am excited to see the third version. I would totally understand if it takes awhile for you to want to complete that one. Thank you for sharing!
I'm working on this now(dac)! It's my 1st Josephine Wall. Personally idk if I could do 200+ colors, I'm not a fan of color changing lol. I'm so glad you did this, thank you! How long did it take to complete both?
I worked on these over the course of 3-4 months, with a number of breaks! I wish I’d kept track of the number of hours, but it was… a lot, haha!
@@DiamondsandWashi thanks for replying! I can only imagine. Tracking hours is hard. I tried it & messed up in the very beginning 😆 then decided it wasn't worth it if it wasn't accurate
I wish that dpd's image had the intensity of colour of dac's one, especially when they were using as many colours as they were. Both images are beautiful but the lack of colour intensity in dpd's was a bit disappointing.
I don't like DSA at all however, I hate how DAC totally changes the look and feel from the original artwork. I can't personally understand why DAC, who hand charts, can't seem to stay even remotely true to the original art when it's a watercolor piece. Their colors are darker and the images become more crisp and don't flow nicely.

I do like DAC, they just don't remain true to the original pieces and it bothers me most on watercolors.
My canvas is from Uniquely Yours Down Under I think it is slightly better than Diamond Art as it is a bit softer
I have to change my original opinion early on in this series and say the DPD one looks much nicer. I don’t think the bold DAC colors look so good after all.
I prefer the German one dac seems to make the hands huge when they should more smaller and the face and neck are not very nice with bright blue drills I agree they should be lighter the German one looks more natural on the wall the dac one is too colourful they should have had used more pastel colours and more colours due to the size of it
DAC wins for me. Love the face and hair. She does have a big man hand (no offense-mine are like that) but that’s in the original artwork.
I still like DAC better. The crisp edges and colors are more satisfying to me. I love DPD's softer face it's prettier. But the hair is less satisfying in DPD's picture. And i love the animals as represented by DAC. I'll take the DAC.
