  • Wanted to share my "Aragog" spider that I created for my 2020 Halloween decorations.
It measures 16ft (4.88m) wide and almost 6ft (1.83m) tall. Unfortunately it's a very basic tutorial as it was my first ever video.
    🕷🎃 👻
Hopefully it helps someone else who is attempting to build a giant spider. If you have questions, just leave them in the comment section below.
    Approx. cost: $375
    $90 fur fabric (Amazon)
$100 wigs (cheapest wigs on eBay/Amazon)
    $100 PVC + connectors
    $35 great stuff foam
    $10 PVC glue
$10 Christmas balls + ping pong balls
    $7 beach ball
    $10 adhesive glue
I used brown paint I already had, Styrofoam blocks were free

It is indeed the biggest spider I’ve seen anywhere online, and the fur/wigs do add to the overall realistic look.
So now that you’ve done one, how would you do it differently? Dollar store wigs and spray paint? 😂 jk

      @IsaacAlexanderDIY  3 роки тому +7

It’s called beef-netting. It’s sold online by Trenton Mills. I bought 10 pounds of the poly/cotton mixture. In order to make the holes, you need to have very sharp scissors or an X-Acto knife to cut slits into the fabric after it’s been stretched out.

It has the done cheap landlord issues.
Barbie car and a firetruck for some scary mood setting.
A frame with black bedding over= hunted house smoke in the walkway machine.

Unfortunately this was my first UA-cam video and I didn’t really know how to make a proper one 😞. I don’t have a detailed supply list only that I used about 10 cheap wigs that I cut up.
Depending on the size of the spider abdomen, I ended up using about 6 yards of fur fabric. PVC was size 1 1/2 inch but I don’t remember measuring the legs to get an exact measurement and I just cut sizes that I think would be appropriate size. I’m going to probably have to remake this spider with detailed measurements.
