Thanks for watching! If you're having quality issues, try watching in 1440p or 2160p. We found that all the chicken wire made the compression quality on UA-cam lower than usual but the 4K quality fixed it. :) You're all awesome. Have an awesome Halloween! 🎃💀👻
If you guys ever do another project with this much chicken wire, I would look into buying a pair of Safety Wire Pliers. Aircraft mechanics use them all the time, they make wire work WAY easier, and you can pick up a cheap pair at Harbor Freight or Cabela’s for like $30. You guys are awesome! 😃
My wife and I just viewed this video, the first we've seen of your's. The cander, playful commentary and clean content are so refreshing. The ghost was amazing. From the outside looking in, the ghost is simple to make. But, doing it will take practice on our part. Thank you so much for this video, it is the first of many we will follow with you.
The hair turned out SO GOOD! I was super concerned when you were talking about adding individual strands, cuz, like, *that's so many hairs*, but adding in a sheet to give the shape and throwing in some individual strands for details worked like a charm
Your neighbors must Love you! I have a neighbor and she didn't talk to me before, not even wave when she pulled out of her driveway and I was standing 5 feet away. I put up the most awesome Halloween carnival and at Christmas a super cool Mele Kalikimaka display and she turned into a different neighbor! I saw her at a garage sale a couple weeks ago and she was so excited to see me and she told me about another sale with some stuff she thought I could make into new props. Decorating brings the neighborhood together, the kids love it, the parents love it, crotchety old neighbors love it, it is absolutely worth the hassle. I can't wait to try this ghost!
@@jeanmanske9949why nobody else has said trellis, it's what I thought right away...some ivy and clematis. I'd love Passion Flower too, grows fast and once established rarely requires any fertilizer or even water
Wow that was incredible!!! You could probably switch it up for another season by attaching small chains, gauze strips, plastic spiders, bats and other bugs for a different effect.
Wow, she turned out Really Nice!! How exactly was she lit? Multicolored lights placed underneath projecting upwards? Any black lighting to work with the GitD paint? That wasn't very clear and I was definitely interested in knowing how you guys lit her up! Great job, as always!!
Probably with a projector light like the one's used to project an image on the side of a house I'm guessing. The right image would enhance the illusion?
Omggg I love that you guys referenced Rachel!!! I love her channel and I guess you both ended up on my recommended videos! I have been binging everything!
In response to the "Do people make chicken clothes?" I worked with a crazy, old lady who made "duck clothes". In total disbelief, I asked, multiple times, if they were actually clothes that people put on ducks. She said yes and brought in all sorts of odd outfits as proof. Months later, one of our coworkers was going on and on about how great they were and how cute their duck was in the the old lady's latest "Batman Halloween" outfit. I couldn't believe that the crazy had spread to others, so I pulled her aside and questioned her. After she stopped laughing, she informed me that the ducks were stone statues people put in their gardens, and that the "Batman" outfit was the same exact outfit as all the others, only the fabric was a repeating pattern of the old Adam West Batman symbol.
@@WickedMakers I have made a sweater for a chicken. It was for one of my students, who raises chickens. I can't remember the story of why that chicken needed a sweater, but it was a warmth thing, not a fashion thing. So I knitted a little sweater for the chicken.
My wife makes goose outfits for every sport, holiday, and other occasion. Once a customer bought a Halloween costume and dressed her little dog for a pet parade. The pup won a prize.
I did this one year except I also added cheese cloth to make the form more ghostly. It was a pain in the butt! So many little cuts, definitely should've worn gloves and I wish I would've thought to get a dress form or mannequin. That probably makes the shaping much easier. Great video! Ya'lls turned out way better than mine, the hair is a really cool idea!
Many, many years ago for a sea demon costume, we used chicken wire with random links cut out; then wrapped the chicken wire in paper mache and coated it in blue, green and purple gel pint filled with glitter. It made for impressive coral armor.
I dont know about anyone else but for me, I honestly always watch their little ads, like in other videos I just skip but I just love how they actually give examples of how they themselves use the sponser and not just clips of other people, plus they are just too cute together hehe
Thanks! You basically bend the little spikes ends of the chicken wire around itself. You can also cut extra pieces to fill holes or use as little stitch pieces.
The fog with the light and glowing looks very eerie and spooky especially how it moves the lights and fog definitely goes very well with it overall its very epic
I did one a few years ago. It was cool, but didn't glow much (didn't expect it to....but) I like this way with the light strobing around it. It makes it more visible, but still ghostly
Fantastic build! Y'all did a great job! I was wondering if you would do a Halloween lawn tour of all the things you have made and how you set it up? I think it would be really cool to see! But if you're worried for privacy reasons totally understand. Have a wonderful day!
This is just so awesome! I truly learn a lot of new techniques for things I’d never have thought to do myself! So thank you! Also, you have the cutest helper around (truly BEAUTIFUL kitty!). Thanks for the content, you guys.. you’ve quickly become some of my very favorite makers. Combining that and Halloween- my perfect combo. Killin’ it, guys!!
We just rolled up a lot of CHICKEN WIRE at our Farm Garden on Monday in Minnesota. We are going out to finish a FINAL HARVEST. So THANKS, I am taking wire CUTTERS and Bringing some Chicken Wire back to PRAIRIE MANOR, which sounds more like some estate in Southern England located not too far from DOWNTON ABBEY. Since I am a Professional Artist and a Professional Actor, it should take less than a day to make one or two CHICKEN WIRE GHOSTS to hang outside The Manor. WHAT SCARY FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!
So this is super cool... and I hope you have a completely dedicated space just for her...maybe with lots of spiders (daddy long leg webs look super spooky, and no they are NOT "the most poisonous") but anything that get 'hooked' by or onto that wire is going to be a nightmare...
This is amazing and I think imma give it a go for my haunt this year. Love to get more info on how you set up your lighting of the ghost….which looked swirly….if that’s actually a term, and layered as far as coloring.
Wow! You two compliment each other beautifully! The tutorial was fun to watch and broke the process down to totally do-able! This will be my upcoming rainy weekend project for this year's Halloween! Thank you!!!
It’s perfect. I’ve wanted to do one of these forever but know it’s a lot of work and a whole lot more complicated (to give it the right look), than other DIY’s have made it seem. I love this one!! Great job 💚👻👍
so a tip for you guys from the UK if you use straps same has the ones used to anchor down goods on a truck you can squeeze the chicken wire to the form of the model then its just one cut down the back to get off the form and that stops any cuts from the odd edge which will happen from multiple cuts and scratches etc etc

That ghost looks fantastic 👏🖤🎃💀
Probably the best chicken wire ghost I've ever seen. They usually sound cool but don't turn out well. This is the new ghost standard I think.
I agree! I have wanted to make one for a while now. This is one make her look more ghostly.
I just watched Rachel Maksy's chicken wire ghost and now this one. Really makes me want to create my own this Halloween!
Spooky, creative.. love the colors A+++
You say to put colored lights on, where are you putting the colored lights?
@@davidsadler4878I think they're just using a light bulb or similar to shine light onto the ghost.

Still have mine from my days... no years of cannon plugs and saftey wired bolts...
Those are pretty sweet, I didn't know a tool for that existed.
(And they're only $10 at Harbor Freight anymore.)
The movement you guys get in all your poses is so so good! This ghost, the spider, the skeleton pirate. All brilliant!

Such an amazing project and I have a big 6'2 mannequin that I'm trying to think what the heck I could do with for one of these

I have the same question. The lighting really makes it look amazing.
Yeah, they skimped on the lighting aspect
Probably with a projector light like the one's used to project an image on the side of a house I'm guessing.
The right image would enhance the illusion?
Lights under it flashes as spot lights.
On another comment they said the used the Fire and Ice lights from Home Depot, but not how they lit it unfortunately
This is why Halloween is my favorite. Such craftsmanship and creativity.
Pretty cool. I thought if you cover her body in saranwrap, you could dictate how the fog goes through her to add an even more spooky effect.
Oh nice yeah!
Total toll was ihr macht 🤗🤗🤗😍
This has to be one of the best chicken wire ghosts I've seen yet. Awsome.
that is probably the coolest most enchanting sculpture ive seen....thnx
