The jetway fall scene is also different in the movie. He lands face up in the movie and makes a different sound.

Even when he pulls out his ID and says he's a limo driver in the trailer is different. In the actual film, he pauses and extends his hand and shows the ID to the flight attendant then he takes off running again. Here in the trailer, he tiptoes and then takes off running.
This is the best version, an argument I’ve had since the release of the vhs. I’ve always preferred the high pitch scream & face down landing, just a funnier take. But the I will say I did NOT prefer the unrated Blu Ray version, the jokes go way too far, sometimes less is more especially with comedy. Knowing when to cut.

The gate attendant’s expression helped sell the whole thing.
I was a limo driver and actually picked up and dropped off at the airport where this was filmed (Salt Lake City). I had more than one person bring up this scene, when I told them I was a limo driver.
When you watch the actual film, they use a different take. Jim Carrey's "I'm a limo driver!" is delivered differently and the way he lands on the tarmac is also different.

It is said that when they first started making them and dumber.. they have reached out to a few actors that if they want to play Harry or Lloyd but mostly said no due to the fact that they didn't want to play a dumb character... So they turn to Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels so it's really interesting that they weren't their first choice but dumb and dumber end up being very successful and it really did launch Jim Carrey's career and health Jeff Daniels to be one of the most versatility actors out there to where he can play drama and beef funny in other movies.... Dumb and dumber is still one of my favorite movies of all time... And when they came out with them and dumber too years ago I really thought there's no way he'll be just as funny because dumb and dumber was a classic so how can they make a dumb and number two after 20 years but it's just as good as the first one... This was Jim Carrey at his best
