Amazingly funny movie. One of his best but sadly didn’t perform at the box office. Weirdly, all the critics slate it. They don’t know comedy. The trial phone call is next level funny also. Ben Stiller genius at work.

This, along with the movie titled "23" was always a reminder to me how much of a COMPLETE ACTOR and OVERALL PHENOM Jim Carey was and obviously still to this day, has been one of the top actors in the entire world. Sucks to realize we may never see him in anything new ever again! Happy retirement to the MAN, the MYTH, and the JiMCaReY!!!

A line from the past. Majority of people today wouldn't catch the dig, so why waste it in a movi .... oh yeah, with Carry's character, it's perfect. He's so behind the curve, it's a perfect fit (from what time tunnel did they pull his trunks from?)!

Everybody said this movie was not so good, and bashed Jim Carrey for making 10 million, but I always thought it was just one of his dark comedy movies. It definitely an acquired taste of a comedy, but I always liked it. Oddly enough I completely forgot about this scene. I've never understood why people didn't like this film. It was brilliant.
I guess it depends on the environment at the time. Bad advertising,or other hits at the time. But there will never be a Jim Carrey
Not only was pure comedy, but it also had quite a message about social and mental issues.
Probably people were not used for Jim Carrey playing a bad guy.

Cheesey I guess?
Jim Carrey was a force to reckon with in 90s and early 2000s
It’s so raw. Although he is constantly rejected, he basks in every moment, seizing every opportunity. He is himself, whether you like it or not.
Ive always thought the same about this scene
He has admirable qualities to be fair, and doesn't let anyone get the better of him.
Right. It's almost like he's got one shot, one opportunity, to seize everything he ever wanted, in one moment...
Shall we stop excusing assholes just because they're being themselves?
