    Ottima scelta di componenti complimenti …sono quelli che prediligo…. Come te guardo la funzionalità ed il peso di componenti già presenti sul mercato che non necessitano di esser sostituiti con gli attuali più pesanti ed elettrificati ….

      Brother! Thanks for watching. I'm glad there's another weight weenie out there!

    Awesome! I'm looking at lightening up my xc fs and have a similar weighted frame as the epic. I'd be stoked to hit 22lb. This is one of the first actually raced builds I've found on UA-cam or that isn't just some sponsor funded bike someone has dumped 10k into.

      @ff2e Thanks for watching. It’s been a great bike so far. I tried to make choices with value in mind, hence no electronics. And these frames are readily available in the used market so it seems like duplicating this build could be done on a somewhat reasonable budget, but I won’t say they’re inexpensive. Good luck with your build. What is it?

      @@LowAngleAdventures it's a 24 orbea oiz. Subbed👌

      @ff2eThat's funny. I came off of a 2021 Orbea Oiz TR (120mm) when I switched to this bike. The Oiz TR was an amazing bike. I was just splitting hairs to get the weight down with this one. My wife is still on a 2021 Oiz TR. I'm sure the newer generation, with the updated geo, is even better. Have fun with that build. It'll be a good one. Thanks for the sub.

    Rad. Lets get together and ride your bike and my new Epic 8 back to back and "fight" about the pros and cons. We could bring my regular Epic 7 too.

      Thanks for watching! I'd love to ride the new bike. I'm sure it's fantastic and I'm really curious how Flight Attendant changes the experience. As you can probably discern, I'm a major weight weenie. When I'm tuned up to race I'm 127 pounds so I do split hairs over every gram -- probably more than I should. If you've not seen it already, have a look at our Downieville episode when you have 15 minutes. Find it here: ua-cam.com/video/x0_FG7I67ms/v-deo.html

      127? Dang. I'm 137-138 at my best. We're going to have to take body measurements at the NICA races. No wonder I can't ever keep up with you 😅

    Great bike! Could you tell me please how tall a re you? I am 5'10 with slightly shorter legs and between M and L :( cant decide what size should I get, thanks

    • @LowAngleAdventures
      @LowAngleAdventures  Місяць тому +1

      I'm 5'8". But I'm all legs so when if I ride a medium it looks sorta dumb with all the seatpost extending out of the frame. I think my inseam is about 33 inches.

    Is the tire insert a decision out of necessity or caution?

    • @LowAngleAdventures
      @LowAngleAdventures  Місяць тому +1

      Depends on where I'm riding, I guess. At Downieville it certainly feels like necessity, though I'm unsure how much protection it really offers against many of the puncture types that happen there. In Boise it's just caution. I think I saw a rock here once.

      @@LowAngleAdventures Keegan's flat at Leadville took place with an insert. I think the insert allowed him to pedal on that flat for about 5 miles to the next aid. Not fun but seems definitely worth the 50-60 grams.
      Did you use the regular Aspen or the ST version?

    • @LowAngleAdventures
      @LowAngleAdventures  Місяць тому

      @@ewxlt Regular Aspen. Dual compound. Haven't tried Maxxspeed compound yet.

      Mine lets me run lower pressure in the rear for grip but maintain more sidewall stability. Also smooths out some of the hits on lower pressures and is a bit of insurance for the rim and tire.
